Consumer Complaint: I purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX with my ex XXXX XXXXI was the co signer. We broke up and XXXX refused to give me the car back .He feel behind on the loan payments. I called gm financial to explain what happened and how I wanted to get my name off the loan or request that XXXX surrender the vehicle to me so that I could keep the vehicle and stay current they told me there is nothing can be done. .XXXX did a voluntary repo with out my consent and I was not notified. I had to request the repo detail and thats when I was sent them .Gm financial refused to help me and now this has negatively impacted my Credit and I had to pay taxes thru the irs on a vehicle I didnt even have the option of keeping

Consumer Complaint: On the XXXX of XXXX, I XXXX XXXX, and my husband decided to purchase our lease from GM Financial. We went through our bank to make the purchase. A check was mailed to GM Financial with paperwork requesting for the title and XXXX XXXX XXXX to be assigned to our bank. However that is not the way things went. Unfortunately things did not go as planned on the part of GM Financial. They mailed everything to the wrong address, not to the bank nor to us! We have leased 3 vehicle going through this establishment, and I'm not sure a 4th will happen after this! We were given 60 days until our 1st payment would be due, which is now coming up fast. I have requested for some type of compensation considering the improper handling of everything, and I was told they will do NOTHING. They have now requested for a duplicated title, to which they informed me will take about 45 days. Then they can over night it to us, but hey should be sending everything to the bank that requested for the original paperwork. When we were not able to find another vehicle for less then {$3000.00} over MSRP, so we thought to extend the lease. They did not give us any credit towards the residual for any of the 3 payments we made totaling ( {$1000.00} ). When I asked why we are not receiving any credit towards the vehicle, they said that was not the way it works!? I have the paperwork that was sent to GM Financial which does not request anything to be sent to us only to the bank. It is because of this, we are very confused why it would be sent anywhere else. We were at the understanding that we were dealing with a business that does these kind of things daily ... .what could go wrong, right. Now we will be responsible to make a payment on a vehicle we can not use, which is not fair business. It seems like the only thing they did right with in this transaction was cashing the check that was mailed to them. Now that they have our money and then some... they do NOT care to except blame or do anything to make things better. I requested for the information to reach the CEO of GM Financial to which they refused to give to me directly when asked! I was told that I could look it up for myself using XXXX, or that I could try to find it on their website. I feel like this could have been handled much better especially with a customer that has done multiple leases, maybe the money means more to them then the customers. They have been paid in full plus more, we should either have our necessary paperwork or think about covering the cost of a rental until everything is corrected, after all they made the mistake that caused all the issue we are dealing with.

Consumer Complaint: As of XX/XX/XXXX the balance on my GM Financial Auto loan account was {$770.00}, this has been the balance since XX/XX/XXXX. I have asked GM and XXXX several times to update the amount. Since XX/XX/XXXX XXXX shows my balance was {$2300.00}. This information is incorrect! This is the balance XXXX still shows I owe. I have disputed this amount numerous times with XXXX and GM and they never updated my credit report. Note XXXX and XXXX completely removed this account. I have sent XXXX proof of my payments and they still updated nothing. On XX/XX/XXXX I paid this account in full by paying the remaining {$770.00} due on this account and XXXX still refuses to update or remove this account saying GM financial keeps telling them the {$2300.00} is still due, is past due and no payments have been made since XXXX and they state GM financial validated this despite numerous phone calls, web messages to GM and several letters with proof of payment sent to XXXX proving I paid but no one for years will listen to me and it caused me to not get a mortgage I needed and has adversely effected my quality of life and I demand answers! No person should be held XXXX via a company lying to the credit bureaus lowering humans credit scores, no one deserves the torture GM and XXXX has put me through. I want every copy of documents relating to the validations to the investigation and re-investigations XXXX sent to GM.

Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX I purchased a vehicle on XXXX I got rushed out of the office where we made the cell at XXXX at XXXX at night everybody was closing the doors up I asked about the gap nobody told me anything I ended up getting broadside at the next morning next morning looked in my paperwork and there was no gap I called them they were no help they told me you signed the paper for no gap I said your guy pushed me out of the office told me to sign here sign there and did not explain anything or let me read anything now I am gon na be {$7000.00} under Because they did not give me the gap my vehicle was a total loss it had 22 miles on it done it and they will not help me in any way I asked him to add to gap the next morning They will not help me at all Somebody please help me my number is XXXX thank you for your time

Consumer Complaint: To Whom It May Concern : I purchased a new car from XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2022. The purchase price was {$37000.00}. The car was financed through GM. All paperwork was signed digitally. Due to the screen being set up in landscape mode, it would only show the bottom half to a third of the document that needed to be signed as most of the required signatures were at the bottom of the page. Minimal explanation was given for what documents we were signing other than this is what was agreed upon. When I received copies of the documents that were later emailed to me, there were several optional items that I would not have purchased if I was aware they were included in the price, which are : - VIN etching / Express code for {$290.00} - Key fob replacement for {$190.00} - Cilajet protection for {$890.00} - Paint protection for {$290.00} XXXX expressed to the dealer that I do not recall these being discussed at all as optional purchases, and asked for them to be removed or refunded. After being passed between the finance person and the salesperson, they have not responded further. I find the use of digital paperwork modern and useful to a degree. However, it is very deceptive the way the business utilizes the screen to only show a portion of the page being signed. Thank you for reviewing. XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: GM Financial refuses to acknowledge my right of rescission. They keep calling me and my family members attempting to collect a debt that was already paid. I mailed GM Financial registered agent a notice of Rescission, special power of attorney, and irs form 56. The documents were mailed via certified mail with tracking numbers XX/XX/22. Pursuant to Truth In Lending Act 12 CFR 1026.23 ( b ) ( XXXX ) I excercised my right of rescission. I also mailed GM Financial and their Registered agents a ( notarized ) constructive notice agreement and affidavit of truth. I mailed those documents via overnight mail with tracking numbers. Consumer Complaint: On about XX/XX/21 I initiated a consumer credit transaction with my social security number, also referenced by congress as a credit card, pursuant to 15 USC 1602 ( l ). The term credit card means any card, plate, coupon book, or whatever credit device existing for the purpose of obtaining money, property, labor, or services on credit. The purpose of this consumer credit transaction was to obtain an automobile, I was denied access to my open ended credit. As a consumer, natural person, and original creditor, I have an open ended credit plan, it is unlawful to deny me my own credit I am requesting that your department reassess my consumer credit transaction/application and approve my application as a denial is unlawful, goes against congressional law and makes your organization civilly liable for non compliance pursuant to 15 USC 1681o , 15 USC 1640,15 USC 1691e . Further more pursuant to 15 USC 1691 ( a ) - Activities constituting discrimination, do so state " It shall be unlawful for any creditor to discriminate against any applicant, with respect to any aspect of a credit transaction ''. A denial of my open ended consumer credit constitutes to discrimination. Pursuant 12 USC Powers and Duties of Banks and Credit Unions have power to borrow money, issue bonds and debentures, therefore you are unable to lend a consumer, natural person, and original anything.
