Consumer Complaint: Improper usage of sensitive and confidential information by a third party. On XX/XX/2022 I apply to prequalify at GM Financial webpage with their advertisement and promise of " APPLY TO PREQUALIFY. NO CREDIT IMPACT. Save time at the dealership by applying to prequalify with GM Financial. Its quick, easy, and won't affect your credit score. '' at https : //www.gmfinancial.com/en-us/apply.html 10 minutes later ( XXXX XXXX XXXX I get a call from the dealership, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, asking about my interest in a specific car and for they offer me to get a list of vehicles available that I might like for which I told them it was not needed because I can get that from their webpage and that was the end of our phone call with the representative at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. A few minutes later I get a message from my credit monitoring that there was a hard Inquire from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX so I call them back right away ( XXXX ) and ask them why they ran a hard inquiry on my credit without my authorization for which the salesperson says she will transfer the phone call to her manager. The manager, XXXX is his name, answer the phone and he was a bit sarcastic and rude at the beginning trying to minimize the situation and mentioning that they did NOT run my credit but emphasized in the color of the car I wanted instead of the real issue which it was the unauthorized use of my personal information. he stated that they didn't run my credit that it was GM Financial and that I should call them instead which I did. XXXX GM Financial stated they didn't run the hard inquiry but it was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I must mention that the operator at GM Financial XXXX XXXX XXXX, was very unprofessional with a very noticeable lack of experience from the beginning she said they did not do the hard inquiry but she didn't know who would. However, she stated the information was provided by GM Financial to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX and that I should contact the credit bureau and XXXX XXXX but in the end it was my responsibility for applying at GM Financial. Final answer it was that there was no solution to the issue and for such she couldn't help. XXXX I called back to the dealership ( XXXX ) and the manager XXXX answered for which once again he was very sarcastic by asking when would I be stopping to pick a car ; him knowing the issue we have is something else. He mentioned that they did not run my credit and it was not their problem it was GM Financial problem and that there is nothing he can do. I insisted that the dealership name is on my credit report without my authorization and he responded almost screaming " Who filled up the form. you or me? from that point on he went into a rant which my wife was listening to on the car speaker as it was happening and then he hang up on me. My wife started crying and she was very disappointed at the manager 's rude, violent & unprofessional service. Once again, I did not authorize GM Financial nor XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX to run a hard inquiry on my credit. They abused and shared personal & sensitive information to used and abused by a third party ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) As a client, we don't reserve that type of treatment or abuse of my information. As a client, we don't deserve to be treated like a fool either. The credit report states XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX did a hard inquiry on me without verbal or written authorization.

Consumer Complaint: Their was a vehicle purchased in my name in New Jersey but I live in Missouri and with a financial institutions called gm financial I. Amount over XXXX as of XX/XX/XXXX I have filled police reports, mailed letters to all credit reports and the financial company on this issue. I have called numerous times stating all of what I done and proof on I could not been in that location to do what they say I have done. I serve in the military and have proof I could not been their at the time. It is XX/XX/XXXX and I am still fighting this issue I have froze all of my credit until this is resolved and cant purchase anything until so.

Consumer Complaint: This is not a duplicate nor is this complaint being filed by a third party, I am filing this complaint myself. Please see this complaint is processed to the letter of the law. The unverified account indicated below continue to report on my credit report despite several written requests, in violation of federal law. Consumer Complaint: I went to see about buying a new vehicle. At that point I gave the dealer the authorization to run my credit once to see what I was approved for, but in return they ran my credit with multiple banks and or had the banks run my credit without my authorization. This in turn has given me over 41 hard inquiries on my credit report between XXXX, XXXX XXXX and XXXX which i can not recover from. I would like these hard inquiries removed because they were not authorized by me. From my understanding when you buy a vehicle it is supposed to be counted as 1 single inquiry but in my case it turned into 41. I have not been to 41 dealerships to purchase vehicles. I only own 2 Dates I am disputing will be between XXXX XXXX of XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I was struggling to find work at what I was previously making after my layoff in XXXX. Although I paid off this loan, and paid extra late fees they required, some of the late fee payments were late, incurring more late fees. This vehicle has been sitting in my driveway since XXXX needing an engine replacement. I need the title so I can have it towed out of here, but can not seem to obtain it. Consumer Complaint: GM Finanacial put a 30 day late on my credit report for XXXX of XXXX The company I work for pays the payment and they have stated that the payment was made at the same time every month as normal however the mail delviered it late or GM Financial processed late. In addition, GM Financial did not have the correct phone number on my account and I had called in two separate times to make this update and they did not update even after they had already reported this late payment I had an XXXX score prior to this. I have never made a late payment in my life. Please take a look at this and help me. GM Financial is so difficult to deal with.

Consumer Complaint: I have attached history of disputes with this place/organization These are the Dispute Report Numbers which can be verified with the credit bureaus. Disputes go as back as last year XXXX XXXX XXXX Under FCRA 623 ( a ) ( 3 ), FDCPA 807 ( 8 ) " if the completeness or accuracy of any information furnished by any person to any consumer reporting agency is disputed to such person by a consumer, the person may not furnish the information to any consumer reporting agency without notice that such information is disputed by the consumer. Therefore, a furnisher can still provide a consumers credit information that is in dispute, but it must clearly state to the credit reporting agency that the information provided is being disputed. They have failed to state this on any of my reports therefore violating my rights. No proof of ownership, late payments or any at all has been provided as proof. Copies of reports will be attached. Each report will show failure to report account under dispute as of my rights on FCRA ( a ) ( 3 )

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX my vehicle was destroyed in the hurricane. High winds brought down trees, one of them fell on my car. I had purchased it on XX/XX/XXXX in XXXX XXXX North Carolina and financed it through GM Financial. Because the car was totaled and I had gap insurance both XXXX my regular car insurance provider and XXXX the gap insurance provider were going to pay off the vehicle. I have copies of the email exchange between myself and both of those companies during this time. GM Financial was notified of these claims immediately. I was assured by all three companies that I did not have to make any more payments on this vehicle. The following weekend I purchased a new vehicle at the same dealership which was financed through XXXX. Insurance claims apparently take time to pay out so I kept a close eye on my credit report over the next few months, watching for the balance to disappear. I watched as the amount that XXXX was going to pay was removed. I watched us the amount XXXX was going to pay lingered longer on my credit report. Eventually XXXX paid their part, but inexplicably after both companies paid there was a {$37.00} balance remaining. I spoke with all three companies. GM in particular I called several times about this balance as it was showing as a negative factor on my credit report. They told me initially it was a mistake and that I could ignore it. The account was then charged off. Alarmed because my credit had already been damaged quite significantly by my recent divorce proceedings, I called back once again. At this point speaking to the same individual who had reassured me before that this was a mistake, I insisted that I pay the balance however I could so that it would come off of my credit report. He said he wild and a message to a specific department to fix this, accepted the payment and I have proof of payment from XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX. That was XX/XX/XXXX. Unfortunately, though that amount was paid ( when frankly it shouldnt have even been there ), GM Financial insists on reporting this as a charge off. Their own employee told me to ignore this, that it was an accident, that it was a mistake. This one negative factor on my credit report is preventing me from having a credit score that will qualify me for the mortgage that I am applying for. XXXXXXXX XXXX in Tennessee, my contact there being XXXX XXXX, alerted me to the weight of this one error. If this were correctly reported as paid as agreed, my credit score would be as much as XXXX points higher. This is an extremely damaging error entirely at the fault of GM Financial. It is preventing me from qualifying for purchasing a home for myself and my children. I am a single mom. I never had a late payment on this loan I followed the instructions of the finance company as well as the insurance companies. This is unacceptable.
