Consumer Complaint: When I leased my vehicle 3 years ago, GM financial was nice enough to be the lender for my new vehicle. About a week after taking the vehicle home, I received a packet in the mail and set up automatic debiting of my account. The payment was made the same day for the length of the lease. We turned in our vehicle the 3rd week of XXXX 2017 about 2 months early ( we leased a XXXX before our lease was over ), and we were notified that the lender would send us a bill for the remaining months. The lender sent us a notice via mail that we would be receiving an end-of-lease packet with the final bill. On XXXX XXXX 2 017 another debit was made from our account, which was fine as I 'd imagine they 'd deduct that payment from the final bill. In early XXXX, I received a notification from my credit monitoring saying there was a late payment to GM financial. This made no sense to me because we were on automatic debit. Upon calling GM financial, they indicated we were always about 28 days behind on payment, which I have no record of nor were we ever told that this was the case. As far as I 'm concerned there was never a late payment that ever took place. The down payment was to include first month 's lease, and we set up automatic debit only a week after taking the car home, making an late payment impossible. They also had the wrong phone number on file and never attempted to send us a letter to correct it. As it stands this late payment is hurting my credit and from what I can see was no fault whatsoever to my wife and I.

Consumer Complaint: I have made all payments on time since I leased the vehicle in XX/XX/XXXX . I made a payment in XX/XX/XXXX that they did not credit to my account. I have faxed them proof of the payment and also submitted proof of payment on a prior CFPB complaint which shows as closed because GM Financial responded to it. Although they responded, they did nothing to track down the payment. They cashed the payment immediately upon receipt, but as of XX/XX/XXXX no payment is credited to my acccount.

But they have refused us access to look at our account stating we do n't need to do that. They also still giving me a hard time want to charges fees to pay my car note. I feel that in not allowing me access to view my account and charging me fees to pay loan is illegal. They give me no proof I am paying my car loan. I used the link when I log into my GM Financial account, selected payment options for Credit Card, clicked on the link for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX . When I click on the link from there website It ask me to enter the Bill Payer, I entered GM Financial a nd a drop down came up to sele ct GM Financial Leasing or GM Financial ( I have a lease ). I enter in my account number XXXX , continue to enter my payment amount {$560.00} and XXXX XXXX confirms the payment and I paid same day service 2-4 hours.
After I get my payment conformation via XXXX XXXX XXXX numbe r M oney Transfer Control Number [ MTCN ] is : XXXX AUTH CODE : Conformation # XXXX I contacted GM Financial several times asking them if they received my payment, I keep being told no payment received. On XXXX I finally spoke with a Supervisor name XXXX on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX and I did a 3 way call with GM Financial and XXXX XXXX . The XXXX XXXX representative verified with Supervisor at GM Financial that my payment was accepted with GM Financial on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX , so now its up to GM Financial to apply my payment to my account. The supervisor said he would send this info over to their payment processing department so my payment can be applied to my account. Today XXXX I check my online account and I still see payment has still not posted. I contacted an online chat rep with GM Financial, an d the chant rep said the payment still not received. And they will expedite a request with their payment processing department. At this point this is taking too long to apply my payment to my account, my Credit card has a posted charge deducted for the payment and XXXX XXXX has confirmed the payment on same date XX/XX/2017 and GM Financial has confirmed the payment and still they have not applied my payment to my account, causing me account delinquency. I am requesting that my payment be applied to my account effective immediately dated XX/XX/2017 , and report my account with all 3 credit bureau s ( Paid on Time, Never Late )Company Response:
