Consumer Complaint: Hard inquires were made without my consent. I called and sent letters to various companies and they told me that they were a third party company who made inquires on behalf of the original company. I asked them to prove validation, but no response.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a new vehicle from a dealer and paid it off before there was a debt created for the vehicle. Now the finance company continues to state there is an open account when I submitted evidence to them and the credit bureaus that the payoff was made and only XXXX has acknowledge that there is no debt. XXXX continues to report the debt even though they have admitted that the lender has not produces a contract to them validating a debt. XXXX has yet to respond to the matter.

Issue: Problems at the end of the loan or lease
Subissue: Excess mileage, damage, or wear fees, or other problem after the lease is finished
Consumer Complaint: The following description is directly copied from my XXXX review of GM Financial, with the events taking place between XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX XXXX , 2017. TOTAL, ABSOLUTE SCAM. Beware of leasing with these people. They will rip you off big time for " damages '' when you return the vehicle. My dad just had his lease end inspection for a XXXX XXXX . The car had only XXXX miles in 3 years, with a small front bumper crack, light paint scratching around the bottom, and a tiny dent smaller than a credit card near the bottom of the rear door. I am including the pictures they themselves took of this damage and other views as well. It also had all original parts, which was the first thing the inspector asked about. We fully expected the charge to be XXXX , if not a thank you for taking such good care. They charged him nearly {$1200.00}. TO PUT IT INTO CLEAR PERSPECTIVE, THEY CHARGED HIM FOR A COUPLE OF DINGS AND SCRATCHES AROUND 10 % OF WHAT THE WHOLE CAR IS WORTH USED. From their inspection photos, categorized from normal to excess wear, you can tell exactly what their billing trick is to get to this obsurd 10 % -- they take the most tiny specks, invisible from 20 feet, and call it normal, to throw you a peace crumb, anything above that gets jacked up on steroids to compensate them many fold for the crumb they gave you. When I called them all I got was basically talking points mumbo jumbo. Their first talking point is a mis-direction of semantics, insisting " the charge is not a BILL, it 's for damages you caused, and charges will be adjusted if YOU go and fix it ''. First of all, we already knew it 's not a regular bill, just a bogus charge for not bringing it back in showroom condition. Second of all, he 's already paid you for normal wear and tear ON THE LEASING BILL he 's been paying you for 3 years, AT A RIP OFF RATE OF {$250.00} A MONTH, for a XXXX ! Their second talking point is simply " I 'm sorry you feel that way '' which is robotically repeated over and over, because it 's standard tripe for when you 've ripped someone off and the person is not happy. They 're SO VERY VERY sorry. There was a third obnoxious talking point that I forget, but the point is you ca n't really reason with them because their reps, like the cable reps and insurance reps we 're all used to, are drones trained to deflect valid points ( and insults thereafter ) with standardized, jargon filled runarounds, not to offer fair resolutions. My dad is XXXX years old, it was his final car, and they knew that he was n't a returning customer anyway, so they felt they could take advantage. They forgot about me though, I will never lease or buy a car from GM ever again. At XXXX miles ( 1/8 the average ) they will resell it at premium price. But it 's NOT ENOUGH for them, they had to cheat an XXXX year old recent widower. This is how they said goodbye to him and thanked him for his business, over a couple of dings and scratches. So morally bankrupt they did n't even have the decency to call back and try to resolve it after seeing how upset he was on the phone. WHAT I STRONGLY SUSPECT IS HAPPENING IS THAT THEY 'RE MILKING THE VULNERABLE TO SUBSIDIZE FOR LOSSES ELSEWHERE, AND AN OLD MAN WITH A XXXX MILE VEHICLE FOR THEM TO AUCTION IS JUST EASY PICKINGS. A disgrace on a once proud American brand, one that now bombards us with cheap ads of " real people '' so agog over the cars you 'd think they 'd never seen one before. Maybe their corporate greed stems from the fact their sales are n't moving and stock price is totally stagnant, and they 've forgotten the lesson ALREADY that a culture of gouging and defrauding customers, such as with the ignition switches, eventually gets you to a VERY bad place, and then you come to D.C. in a private jet, to the very tax payer you 've been mistreating, hands out for a government bail out. Corporate thugs, shuysters, XXXX , back to their old tricks! Hit 'em where it hurts, AVOID.

Issue: Struggling to pay your loan

Consumer Complaint: I have been trying to get a break for the deferment from GM regarding my loan. I have asked to pay with out any documentation which the collection agents in XXXX say they dont need to send. The reason why is I am questioning the amount that they are charging for a two month deferment. Another issue is that on my last complaint. I am was tired of paying fees to pay my car note. There response was a basic cut and paste, pay by ACH which has been disabled due to an bank hacking issue earlier in the year. I have been making the payments with my debit card and getting no where getting the restriction lifted on my account. I have provided GM with information regarding the issue and still no resolve, they just want the fees charged.

Consumer Complaint: After further investigation into my problem that began on XX/XX/XXXX , I fi nally discovered what has transpired without my knowledge damaging my perfect credit with no help from XXXX XXXX whereas they continue to willfully violate the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I had a XXXX M FINANCIAL lease which I turned in on XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) I extended th e lease by ( 1 ) month w hich was verified and paid on time just like every payment in this history on this XXXX XXXX Lease that matured on XX/XX/XXXX . GM Financial agreed to waive charges if I took out another lease with them and so on XX/XX/XXXX , I signed for a new lease for a XXXX XXXX XXXX for 39 months. Since inception date of new lease ( XXXX XXXX ) and disposition of former lease ( XXXX XXXX ) both conducted on the same date ( XX/XX/XXXX ), I never e ver heard fr om GM FINANCIAL except for sending me monthly bills on my new lease to which I have paid to date without every being late 30 days ever. I never received a final bill for my former lea se ( XXXX XXXX ) in any capacity. I NEVER received a bill asking for payment by Regular U.S. Mail, Express Mail, email of record, voicem ail on my phone number on record, no text message, absolutely no conveying of a debt owed at all. First of all, I should n ot have a bill since I acquired a new lease through them again and secondly, If I did have an actual bill, I should 've had a chance to receive a bill to be able to review it and then pay for it. On XX/XX/XXXX , all XXXX credit bureaus ( XXXX , XXXX and XXXX ) have me CURRENTLY at 60 days late. I have never ever been late 30 days ever to ANY CREDITOR ever at any point in my life and to have this erroneous mark appear with a " Past Due Balance of {$700.00} '' is not only absurd but unprofessional and in violation. If I was alerted property, I would have paid that {$700.00} is indeed I owed {$700.00} dollars to them. 1st, s ince my lease termed and ended on XX/XX/XXXX , WHY did GM FINANCIAL fail to properly notify me in any capacity and in addition, WHY did they wait 9 months without zero communications to suddenly place a " current 60 day late '' on my credit reports damaging my c redit reports and damaging my current application for a refinancing of my residential property? I have now also alerte d the State Attorney and the Federal Trade Commission. This erroneous trade-line must be deleted at once by GM FINANCIAL and a lso must furnish a copy of this alleged final bill of " {$700.00} '' so it can be property paid if in fact this is a factual owed amount and itemized. Thanks.

Consumer Complaint: GM Financial is incorrectly reporting late payments from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX on an account/loan that I paid off in XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX . This has lowered my credit score by XXXX points from a good score to a " fair '' score which is preventing me from obtaining credit. I called GM Financial on XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX CST and explained to XXXX ( Employee ID # XXXX ) and she offered no help to fix problem. I called GM Financial once again @ XXXX CST and spoke to XXXX ( Employee ID # XXXX ) in hopes to get someone to help me, and she offered no help as well and told me to have my attorney contact them. GM Financial is reporting that I had 16 - 30-day late payments, and 4 - 60 day late payments which is totally inaccurate. I only had 6 - 30 day late paymen ts, and 2 - 60 da y late payments that were between XXXX - XXXX . I completely paid-off my balance in XX/XX/XXXX which closed my account in XX/XX/XXXX in good standing. And now GM Financial is reporting derogatory late payments from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX in years that I did not, and do not even have an open account/loan with GM ; furthermore, they will not correct it. GM Financial is destroying my credit score for no reason and refuses to correct their mistake. GM Financial is blaming the mistakes on XXXX and refuses to correct. I attached the XXXX credit report showing these errors. I also attached the XXXX credit report which is accurate and shows that I paid off loan in XX/XX/XXXX .

Consumer Complaint: We leased a vehicle in XXXX of 2015. Part of the incentive was that the dealer would make the first payment of the lease. When we arrived to pick up the vehicle, we were informed that due to " credit '' issues ( which were not elaborated on ) we were required to pay an additional {$500.00} ; This was only disclosed when we arrived - not before. Since it was too late for us to change our mind, or get another vehicle elsewhere, we decided to pay the {$500.00} - HOWEVER, when they actually added up the invoice, they added yet another {$500.00} and then denied that they did so. We had to call the manager to re-calculate - and she then advised that we were right, and there was another {$500.00} added that should not be. Apparently, The dealer never lived up to its promise of making the first payment on our behalf - which was the original incentive for us to lease the vehicle. We set up 23 payments ( the lease was for 24 ). ALL OF WHICH WERE ON TIME OR EARLY. now GM FINANCIAL is reporting that I have a late payment on my credit report - which is NOT ACCURATE. I spoke with " XXXX '' at GM Financial who claims that she can not fix the credit report for at least 30-45 days, and only if she gets a letter from the dealer. My credit is very important to me, and I need to get this corrected, but my complaints are falling on deaf ears. Please help.
