Consumer Complaint: The company is GM Financial, # XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, Tx XXXX. I have recently disputed the account with XXXX and after the investigation, the item was removed. However, XXXX and XXXX state that GM Financial claims this account as mine. I have no knowledge of said account. Note the high amount of the account is only a {$2.00} difference. Appearing to show that in 4 years ( life of account ) only {$2.00} were paid on the account. I do not understand how this is possible. I have never finance a GM product through this company. I had a XXXX that my now ex-husband financed through our credit union years ago. Activity date on GM account is completely off by 3 years from my credit union financed vehicle. This all being said, I 'm not sure how long things are scheduled to stay on an individual 's credit report. Whom ever this account possibly belongs to, it definitely seems it should be achieved at this point. Again, this is not my account and respectfully request your assistance in having it removed.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I have contacted GM Financial to ask th em to remove the reporting of a vehicle that was repossessed and charged off in XX/XX/XXXX . They are still reporting this vehicle as open and being late. It is showing up on my credit report that it has been late, has a past due amount and that I am being late on these payments each month. It is my understanding that a 7 yr c lock starts on the last payment you made and no one is allowed to " re-age '' the item to start the clock over. GM is still reporting that this charged off account has a balance and is still being reported as late even though the charge off was 11 years ago. I have done a dispute with the credit bureaus, but they state that their is nothing that they can do to help me. I am trying to buy a home and this is negatively impacting my credit. I do n't understand how long this company can keep reporting this negatively on my credit report for this long. It looks like this just happened and I am currently late on these payments. This vehicle was repossessed due to the death of my death daughter and having to bury her and then losing my job 3 days later. I was not able to make the payments and could not catch up with the payments due to the unforeseen circumstances.

Consumer Complaint: I had a vehicle financed. I had an accident. The vehicle was totalled. My primary insurance paid their share of their claim to the finance company within 30 days. I carried GAP insurance. It took them almost 4 months to pay their share of the claim to my finance company. There was a small balance that I was responsible for. A fter contacting the finance company after receiving a bill for a balance due on the account, I promptly paid the balance. The account was finally closed with a zero balance. The next thing I know I get a letter from GM FINANCIAL stating that the account indeed had been paid and has a XXXX balance. Then they added a remark that my account was charged off even with a XXXX balance. The statement CHARGED OFF, currently on my credit report needs to be removed immediately. I have been denied a car loan and a mortgage as a result of their error. Once again, it must be corrected or my credit score wo n't improve at all. HELP!

Consumer Complaint: I recently had a lease vehicle repossessed by XXXX XXXX XXXX out of XXXX , MI. The fellow who repossessed the vehicle stated he knew my nephew and such. I was cooperative and was not at all angry. I did today receive news that this agent went to my nephew and told him he had repossessed my truck and was looking for my wife 's truck. My property is posted no trespassing which he violated as well. My problem with them is that they violated my privacy by telling my personal business to people. What is my options for recourse with this agent and company?

Subissue: Problem with fees charged
Consumer Complaint: At the end of XXXX 2017 , I ran into a rough financial patch. I calle d GM Financial at XXXX , to request a deferment on my car loan on XXXX XXXX ,2017. During the conversation with the representative, she informed me that " Recently there had been legislature passed in the State of Texas that require s Auto Finance companies to collect a fee up front, Prior to considering customers for a deferment. '' Per the representative, the fee would have been {$970.00}. This would have been {$10.00} less th an 2 of my regular monthly payments. The representative informed me that t he State of Texas is the only state that requires that this fee is assessed. Per the representative the fee would be assessed to cover all of the interest from the payments, prior to completing the deferment. This has caused me to become late on my payment from XXXX , and it has been reported to my credit bureau. I reached out to GM Financial for assistance, prior to being late on my payment, and the solution was to charge me a fee that equals the same amount as the combined total of my monthly payments that I was requesting to defer.
