Consumer Complaint: I had a loan with GM financial that was paid in full by my insurance companies, XXXX XXXX and XXXX Gap insurance . GM fin ancial is reporting that I was late 30 days in XX/XX/XXXX , l ate 60 days in XX/XX/XXXX and the account was charged off. I contacted GM financial via US mail and directly disputed the information with them ( see attached letter dated XX/XX/XXXX ). I requested to only be contacted via mail. They responded on XX/XX/XXXX ( see attached ) claming they needed more information to properly assist me and directed me to contact them via telephone. I did not contact them, as they should not need information from me to substiate their claim that their records are accurate and they are reporting valid information to the credit reporting agencies. I recieved another letter dated XX/XX/XXXX from GM Financial claiming they are reporting accurately to the credit reporting agencies, however I did not recieve any of the documentation I requested. GM Financial is misrepresenting this account. I re-disputed this account directly to XXXX , XXXX and XXXX certified mail return receipts ( see attached letters dated XX/XX/XXXX ). I provided copies of the checks from XXXX XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX ( in the amount of {$22000.00} ) and XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX ( in the amount of {$4900.00} ) which I also attached to this complaint. These are the months GM Financial cl aims my account was 30 and 60 days past due, which is false. They also claim the amount was charged off in XX/XX/XXXX , however they claim the date of last payment was XX/XX/XXXX . How can an account be charged off the following month after recieved approximate ly 27 thou snad dollars in a 5 we ek period. My payments were not applied appropriately? The checks from XXXX XXXX or XXXX did not specify the funds to be applied in a certain way ( i.e. principal only ), thus my account should have been reported current for the months payments were recieved on my behalf. I also responded to GM Financial and sent a certified letter with return receipt requesting a complete account summary for the months of XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX . ( see attached letter dated XX/XX/XXXX ). I have not recieved any response from GM Financial, however, they are continuing to report this inaccurate information on my credit reprort. T he credit reporting agencies have concluded their invesigations and determined that GM is reporting this account accurately, even after I have provided documentation and payment information that proves it is unaccurate. My due process rights are being violated. The credit reporting agencies are not investigating thoroughly, they are just taking GM Financial 's word, when GM Financial has not provided any proof or account history that substantiates their claim. In my disputes I requested the credit reporting agencies to provide me with the name and phone numbers of the individuals at GM Financial wh o verified this information ( see attached letters dated XX/XX/XXXX ). I have not recieved that information, however the investigations have been concluded. They are being untruthful and unethical. My rights are being violated. This account was not charged off. It is my belief that GM Financial is continuing to report this unverifiable debt. They have not provided payment and account information in either of my requests, however they claim they are reporting accurately. The only thing XXXX updated on my credit report was change the last date of payment from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX . There are numerous reporting errors on this account and GM Financial as well as XXXX , XXXX and XXXX refuse to update it appropriately and/or delete it. I have attached all of the documentation ( letters to GM Financial, XXXX XXXX , XXXX , copies of certified mail return receipts, copies of checks from XXXX XXXX and XXXX , and letters from GM Financial ) that was included in my disputes to GM Financial, XXXX , XXXX , and XXXX .

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX , 2017 I submitted a dispute to XXXX regarding GM financial on my credit report. I asked for all the information regarding the account be verified. On XXXX XXXX , 2017 t he investigation was completed and it came back verified. It is my belief that XXXX did not complete a investigation because EVERYTHING on the account is reporting inaccurately. The high balance is incorrect, the balance is incorrect, and the date of last payment is incorrect. I am fully aware of my rights and if the credit bureaus fail to investigate and update with accurate information according to the FCRA then this account must be removed. XXXX is supplying the credit bureaus with outdated, inaccurate information and the accounts should be deleted from my credit reports. You will find a copy of my XXXX dispute regarding this account. I have also supplied you with the latest information reporting from XXXX so that you may compare the inaccuracies.

Consumer Complaint: The company , GM Financial, continues to call my phone number looking for someone unknown to me, who is not at this address and this is not the correct phone number for this person. The company has called my home phone for at least two years, at least a couple of times a month, and I have repeatedly ask them to take my number off their list, that it is not a correct number. They say they will remove the number and next month they call back.

Consumer Complaint: I filed a complaint with CFPB and the response did not address my issue. I have sent several emails to XXXX XXXX regarding my missing payment from XXXX XXXX . I have sent over a copy of my bank statement confirming that the payment was received b y GM Financial. M y final payment should have been in XXXX XXXX , but I am still showing a balance of roughly {$1100.00}, which are late fees from the payment that they claim is missing. This payment is not missing ; it was received and processed by GM Financial o n XXXX XXXX , XXXX according to my bank statement. The responses that I am getting from XXXX XXXX have been lies ; she never had a manager reach out to me to discuss this further. The remaining amount due needs to be adjusted to reflect the fact t hat I NE VER missed a payment on this loan.

Consumer Complaint: In 2013, my husband was in car accident and total lost our XXXX XXXX XXXX. The insurance appraiser came out to assessed the vehicle and settled the car as a total loss. I was notified by the insurance company that they settled the total loss payment with the lender. At this point, we were without a vehicle and driving a friend 's car. Following the accident, the GM Financial did n't give us an opportunity to purchase another vehicle ; therefore, we were with a vehicle. As of today, the lender GM Financial has continued to harass us for a vehicle that we no longer have in my possession. We have receive threatening phone calls and letters ; and have also reported negatively to ALL XXXX credit bureaus which is affecting my buying power. We no longer have any business dealings with GM Financial, however, this company has been haunting me about an issue that should have been resolved 4 years ago. At the end of the day, GM Financial has ruined my credit making it impossible for me to get another vehicle loan.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I leased a XX/XX/XXXX XXXX vehicle through the GM Auto Leasing process. On XX/XX/XXXX GM Auto Leasing repossessed that vehicle for no apparent reason. I twice wrote to them in search of a reason or rationale for having so abruptly removed this vehicle from my custody, in the middle of the night without my knowledge or consent. No reply has been received to date of this complaint to your agency. I see this as a blatant violation of the XX/XX/XXXX Consumer Credit Protection Act. All bank payments were current ; and the vehicle was duly insured. I remain at a lost for any kind of a answer to the age-old question of " Why? '' Your examination of this matter is greatly appreciated, as I am an elderly minority who has devoted his whole life to doing the right thing and living responsibly.
