Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from Wells Fargo dated XX/XX/2023, 5 years after I closed my account with them. I called the number on the letter provided and it was a robot and was not Wells Fargo. I called the real number for Wells Fargo and got a hold of a customer Service person. When I called them to ask about the letter they stated the letter is legitimate and that I need to just deal with what they opened. They enrolled me in ID theft protection without my consent or authorization. They refused to close the account or provide any sense of remediation. When I explained to them that the number provided on the letter was fake and a robot, they stated I needed to call that number back to confirm all my information with the fake number.

Consumer Complaint: A XXXX past-due notice was added by Wells Fargo to the record of my XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX account on my credit reports in XX/XX/2023. I was legitimately late but on XX/XX/2023, I went to XXXX for almost 6 months. Before leaving, I made a {$10.00} charge on my Choice card to ensure the account stayed active. A few months prior, the issuing bank for this card had changed from XXXX to Wells Fargo. I have autopay set up for all my accounts but I neglected to activate autopay on XX/XX/XXXX for this account, the earliest I could do this after the issuing bank switched to Wells Fargo. In the flurry of getting ready for this long trip, I simply forgot. All the postal mail notices that were sent to me went unread since I wasnt home. It was only after I returned home on XX/XX/2023 that I discovered Wells Fargo had waived the {$10.00} charge, closed the account, and lodged an adverse notice with the credit agencies. I have been a Wells Fargo customer for well over a decade, have over {$300000.00} invested with them ( {$320000.00} as of today 's close ), and am a XXXX account holder. Wells Fargo should have been very well aware that I was able to pay the {$10.00} account balance. Furthermore, my Wells Fargo XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ID XXXX ), knew I was out of town all summer. Prior to this incident, I had never had a late notice attached to my credit reports. I contend that this is an unreasonable reporting pretext. I requested that Wells Fargo excuse this, which was so obviously an oversight, and remove the XXXX late notice from my credit reports. Wells Fargo has refused to remove the late notice.

Consumer Complaint: Several deposit accounts were opened by Wells Fargo reps which I did not request, most recently account ending in XXXX, closed out with overdrawn balance in amount of $ XXXX.. The overdrawn balance reflects a purchase from XXXX in amount of {$290.00}, this purchase was not received, disputed as non-receipt of goods/services. A temporary credit was issued then subsequently reversed which overdrawn account in amount of $ XXXX. Wells Fargo referred to purchase as authorized, nothing to do with non-, receipt of item. The signature was forged by XXXX driver as " XXXX XXXX '', in which case, I never sign my name like this and Wells Fargo is aware of this, they have documents showing I sign my name in full as XXXX XXXX. XXXX driver left package where it was lost/stolen. Despite fact account unauthorized and forged signature by XXXX driver, Wells Fargo still attempts to collect on it, sent account to a third party collection agency whom in turn referred account back to Wells Fargo ... XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX sent the account back to Wells, realizing fraud is involved and non-receipt of item with forged signature. Complaints filed in re, Wells Fargo replied in part to this by sending mediation request forms, a total of eight or more of these forms have been filled out, sent back including most recently, marked as duplicate. I was mailed a letter with a claim or case number, XXXX, dated XXXX of XXXX stating a rep would reach out... When I called number provided on letter I am told call will be disconnected and refer to a prior mediation from XXXX which relates to older accounts opened by Wells Fargo, also unauthorized.. The case number for that mediation is XXXX, I was offered a payment in amount of {$3700.00} plus estimated IRS taxes totaling {$5100.00}. Payment was sent to my old address, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CT XXXX after I moved in XXXX of XXXX. Payment was supposedly sent in XXXX of XXXX. I moved to my current address at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CT XXXX. The proof of address provided by last Wells Fargo rep relates to a phone mediation with XXXX XXXX whom offered XXXX plus estimated IRS taxes totaling {$690.00}. That payment was also sent to old address, investigated and funds later reissued.. Wells Fargo Treasury Management Fraud Claims reissued that payment after I provided info showing funds released from cashing bank, XXXX. With regard to payment in amount of {$5100.00}, Wells Fargo was unable to recover funds which is not my error, I am still owed this amount ... Additionally, Wells Fargo has reported the amount to IRS for tax year XXXX, refuses to correct it or resissue payment. I was referred to a tax professional by a prior Wells Fargo rep, in which case, professional advised 1099 form needs to be corrected or I am liable for reported amount ... When this information was brought to Wells Fargo attention, it was ignored, referred to prior reps reply... Most recently, a Jewelry store account opened in my name, Designs By XXXX, which I did not apply for, did not receive anything from this company, have not done business with. ... My credit score dropped due to use of account, maxed out. I've been denied credit due to this account. Wells Fargo has been fined by CFPB in amount of XXXX XXXX for handling of deposit accounts named here, has little to no credibility, gives runaround when it comes to compensation, their mediation request forms are marked as duplicate, yet they continually mail them. It appears Wells Fargo is still engaging in same behavior as previous, opening accounts in customers names, there is a recent case, XXXX XXXX Wells Fargo, with regard to opening unauthorized accounts ... .There is mentiom of small remedy payments in amounts of {$17.00} and {$50.00} which were not received and are irrelevant as they do not cover losses/damages sustained ... Wells Fargo refers to these as " mediation payments '' when they were not mediated nor agreed to..in closing, please advise Wells Fargo they need to correct 1099 form mentioned above, credit back XXXX purchase and refund difference in amount of {$100.00}. With regard to jewelry account, Designs By XXXX, I request compensation for damages to credit, their mediation forms are a mere runaround, marked as duplicates

I did and there was a huge transfer of funds into my account, and that I needed to return them via XXXX. I do not know how they got into my bank account at Wells Fargo Bank, I feel they had help, not only did I get the money and send it to these crooks, they also took money from my Wells Fargo Visa Account- CASH ADVANCE, which I did not authorize, nor did I know that this had been done. I immediately called the Wells Fargo Bank, they said I need to go into the office which I did, closed my accounts, filed the necessary paperwork for the FRAUD that was done with me, which I did. The bank manager said that Wells Fargo Bank should have caught this, but they did not. I did not authorize any of this, I have a verbal PASSSWORD on my accounts, no one from Wells Fargo Bank called me at any time. Now I have lost over {$20000.00} of my cash, plus the CASH ADVANCE money which Wells Fargo Bank is saying that I owe them, even though I did not authorize it. I have never taken a CASH ADVANCE. Wells Fargo Bank has access to all of my information. I did not ever give any information out to anyone at anytime.
