Consumer Complaint: After a property sale, settlement was made at another bank where the business that I co-own held an account. Once those funds became available, within a day, a check was drafted from this bank to my Wells Fargo business checking account. I deposited this check in the branch on XX/XX/ and asked the teller to confirm availability of funds. She told me that {$250.00} would be available immediately and that the balance of the {$82000.00} would be available on XX/XX/. On XX/XX/ I received a notification in the Wells Fargo online banking portal that availability of funds had changed to a partial on XX/XX/ and then {$76000.00} would not be available until XX/XX/. Checking with the bank where the check was drafted from, I confirmed that the full {$82000.00} had cleared from that bank on XX/XX/. I contacted Wells Fargo by phone and was informed that the extended hold on the funds was due to the amount. I confirmed that Wells Fargo did not suspect fraud and that they were only placing the hold because they could by law. Wells Fargo sent a letter by mail dated XX/XX/ indicating that the hold was " in order to allow time for the deposited check ( s ) to clear. ''

Consumer Complaint: Subject : Unauthorized Transaction and Delayed Resolution on Wells Fargo Business Account Case Number XXXX XXXX To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding an incident involving my Wells Fargo business account, which is linked to my personal account. On Tuesday, XXXX XXXX XXXX a transaction involving the cashing of a {$5000.00} check was conducted without my authorization. I was promptly contacted by a representative from the Wells Fargo Fraud Department to verify if I had authorized this transaction, to which I responded negatively. The representative acknowledged that the transaction was an error on the part of Wells Fargo and assured me that the funds would be reinstated into my account by the following day. However, upon checking my account, I discovered that the funds had not been returned as promised. Subsequent communication with the Fraud Department revealed that the matter was under investigation, and they admitted their fault once again. They informed me that the funds could not be restored to my account until the investigation was complete. I was provided with the case number XXXX but have since experienced significant delays in the resolution of this matter. The primary issue at hand is not the initial mistake, but the failure of Wells Fargo, a XXXX dollar company, to promptly rectify the error by reinstating the funds during the ongoing investigation. This delay has caused substantial inconvenience, impeding my ability to fulfill payroll obligations for my employees, as the {$5000.00} in question was crucial for these operations. I am seeking an immediate and thorough investigation into this matter, along with the prompt restoration of the {$5000.00} to my account. The urgency of this issue can not be overstated, as it directly impacts my business operations and the livelihood of my employees. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a swift resolution. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX
