Consumer Complaint: I purchased a home in XXXX Oregon in XX/XX/XXXX, in XXXX I had financial hardships which led me to calling Wells Fargo and asking them to refinance my loan and help me stay in my home. I begged Wells Fargo for help explaining my situation and asking for a workable solution which could have been refinancing my existing loan. They just continued to tell me there was nothing they could do. Dealing with Wells Fargo was exhausting and demeaning. They would switch you around to different people. I was then told I was being foreclosed on and that I would need to move. I continued to make house payments for 3 months but WF started foreclosure proceedings. Prior to moving I contacted Wells Fargo and told them the exact day I was leaving the house and I would drop the house keys off at Wells Fargo which I did. I assumed they would watch out for the house knowing it would be vacant. I moved XX/XX/XXXX to Nevada shortly after I moved squatters broke in. They went to the street turned on the water and ran up {$1000.00}. + dollar bill and sent me to collections. I called Wells Fargo mortgage and asked them to help secure the house which they did nothing. I asked XXXX police to see if they could remove them since I lived in Nevada and could not help. They did go over and tell them to leave. Not long after that squatters came back cut the lock off the water main in the street and broke in again. I called Wells Fargo again and asked for some type of assistance in securing the house to prevent damage they told me I was responsible until the property is foreclosed on but they couldnt tell me when that would happen. The police went back and kicked the squatters out again and boarded up the property weeks later I received a letter from the city saying they were going to sue me for having the house boarded up. I called Wells Fargo again trying to get some help with the house but they essentially said its your problem we dont know when it will foreclose till then its your problem. When Wells Fargo finally foreclosed they made a homeowners claim against my insurance company! They had the nerve to say household items were missing! No kidding! how many times had I tried to get help from Wells Fargo to secure the property. My entire dealings with Wells Fargo and their total disregard for me or my home the took 2 years to foreclose on was astounding. The shame I endured losing my home the city I loved and my friends was heartbreaking. The house sold in XXXX for XXXX and is now worth XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: There is an XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ATM closer to me than a Wells Fargo ATM and it claimed to take my card. I used it to deposit {$300.00} in cash on XX/XX/2023, however, the ATM claimed it could not deposit one or more bills and therefore did not deposit any of the money. It did not return the bills, only my card and gave me a receipt instead. The transaction did not appear on my Wells Fargo app or records. I called the service number on the receipt from the XXXX ATM on XX/XX/2023 and they said they could not issue me any credit because I bank with Wells Fargo and Wells Fargo had to resolve the issue with them. I filed a claim with Wells Fargo the same day, XX/XX/2023, and it was closed XX/XX/2023 but I did not receive the money. I was able to reopen the claim on XX/XX/2023 because it was not reported the first time that the ATM was a non-Wells Fargo ATM. This time I also sent in an image of the receipt the ATM printed. The claim was closed once again on XX/XX/2023. It was never disclosed that both times the claim was closed and unable to be resolved because the receipt was not proof enough of the transaction until XX/XX/2023 when I called a last time to ask for the reason why I was not being issued the credit missing. Wells Fargo claims to be unable to resolve the issue because the XXXX ATM voided the transaction, preventing it from appearing on my transaction records and eliminating digital trace that my card was entered into the ATM, despite the receipt issued by the ATM that has the first and last four digits of my card printed on it, along with other information of the transaction.

Consumer Complaint: Good evening CFPB, I am writing about the company ( Wells Fargo ) that has recently placed activity on my XXXX credit report. They posted 4 active accounts for 3 months. I have disputed this account with XXXX. I told them that I was not aware of having student loans with Wells Fargo. I have not signed any documentation with Wells Fargo for a Student Loan. This account looks to be more than 10 years old. I am not aware of this account. I called the Wells Fargo fraud department twice ( XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ) they could not locate an account for me during either phone conversation. They mention a third-party company as one of their affiliates who may have created a loan for me. This is fraudulent information. I will be filing a police report for this as I do not have an account with Wells Fargo. It seems to be identity theft. I have added all four accounts that are on my credit report. It seems deceptive because it was only active on my credit report for 4 months. How could an account that was open in XXXX close out in XXXX and others in XXXX? Consumer Complaint: Wells Fargo is reporting negative transactions and experiences on my consumer report which goes against 15 USC 1681a ( d ) ( 2 ) ( A ) ( i ) where Congress states that reports containing information solely as to transactions or experiences between the consumer and the person making the report should be excluded from a consumer report. Wells Fargo has failed to provide the proper way for me to exercise the nondisclosure option given to a consumer by 16 CFR 313.7 and 15 USC 6802. I have provided them with notice that I have opted out of them sharing my nonpublic financial information with 3rd party nonaffilates. They have ignored this notice and are in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Privacy Act of 1974. This is a violation of my rights that are to be enforced by the CFPB according to 15 USC 3805.

I called the Wells Fargo phone number on my ATM card and was told that they would investigate the matter. once I received a letter denying my dispute called again and was told to contact XXXX XXXX only to receive a lecture on how I need to pay attention to the picture. That did not resolve the issue and no one cared even when I went to the Wells Fargo branch in person to complain. I said I would close my account with them and that didn't matter either since they are not the one who is XXXX years old loosing XXXX on a whelm. I feel that the person who said they would investigate the matter should have told me to contact XXXX XXXX and that XXXX XXXX needs to refund my money since they have the persons information on file who erroneously received my money knowing that it was not intended for them since I immediately requested a refund.

I paid perfectly for 12 years and the balance was down to XXXX but in XXXX when I got sick and had to sell my home Wells Fargo charged me {$120000.00} over my payoff and said it was for fee 's and added interest all of which was extremely excessive. I called them many times but never got any help. As a senior citizen I was limited on being able to fight this big company which I know has had serious fraud charges against them many times.

It was cleared on XX/XX/2023 for the funds to be used. Wells Fargo put a hold on my loan check for atleast 9 to 10 days without giving me any type of explanation. I spoke with XXXX XXXX XXXX and they indicated that they had a reference number stating that the check was cleared to go to the bank to get my funds released. I went to Wells Fargo bank even spoke to a supervisor about it and they just said that they couldnt help me out in releasing my money to me. This loan is an emergency that I needed to take out in order to pay bills I needed to pay because I was in the hospital without pay. Somehow they didnt really cared about what excuse I had for them to release my funds. They just told me to wait until the hold was over fro the funds in 10 days that there was nothing they or I could do even though the check was cleared on XX/XX/2023 and funds were available to use. I believe I have been abused for either racism or stereo typed for my name, culture, race. It is unbelievable how a XXXX military veteran that has served his country has to go through this type of treatment with this company. I am extremely disappointed and will no longer be any part of this company as soon as I can get my funds available. I have been a big contributor and long years member for Wells Fargo bank. I just hope this nonsense can be stopped with this bank and other customers do not have to go through the same thing my whole family has been through thanks to them.

Consumer Complaint: Essentially we were victims of Wells Fargo 's widespread mismanagement of home loan modification applications during the period XXXX. Our home was financed by Wells Fargo and when the housing market crashed, we requested a home loan modification from Wells Fargo. Intially we received a letter from Wells Fargo stating we were approved. They placed us on a trial payment period which we successfully completed and were then placed on a new modified payment plan. After approximately 2 months of the new modified loan payment, we suddenly started receiving letters that we were in default. We called and wrote numerous letters to Wells Fargo and were finally told that our first medication had been voided and since our home was owned by a group of investors, we were no longer eligible for a loan modification. We attended all of the homeownership workshops sponsored by Wells Fargo including one held at the XXXX XXXX in XXXX, but nothing we did stopped Wells Fargo from pushing us toward foreclosure. Eventually, we hired an attorney and filed for bankruptcy to stop the foreclosure process. Based on our treatment of the financial stress and the mismanagement of our home loan modification caused by Wells Fargo, we believe we should have included in the settlement.

XXXX years ago, I requested Wells Fargo not to mail anything concerning my account to my resident and since that I have been complaining for XXXX years and in more than XXXX complaints about Wells Fargo violating and denying me my privacy rights and my civil rights and denying me to right to request Wells Fargo to direct their mail to my mailing address instead of my resident. ON XXXX XXXX XXXX, after 120 complaints about Wells fargo violating my privacy rights I received this answer from so called XXXX by the name of XXXX XXXX concerning the privacy of Wells Fargo not concerning my privacy like if we the customers are not allowed to be protected by the rights of privacy, only Wells Fargo should be protected by the rights of privacy. Here what this labeled XXXX XXXX XXXX wrote to me : we can not provide details of the investigation or its outcome to our customers as that breachs privacy laws. And sure this XXXX never provided me a solution similar to the rest of the working from the comfort of their homes and labeled XXXX. Where is the customer service department of Wells Fargo? The conclusion After you read my case, you have 100 % proof that WELLS FARGO HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT. Notice : I have been a Wells Fargo customer for more than 38 years and this problem started only when Wells Fargo contracted a 3rd party contractor called XXXX XXXX XXXX to deal with the customers instead of traditional the Wells Fargo customer service.

Consumer Complaint: Subject : appeal to Wells Fargo research results Case number : XXXX & XXXX Account number ending in XXXX Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, case number : XXXX I am hereby appealing Wells Fargo findings in my case as they are materially incorrect. My records show that the Statement Period XX/XX/2023 to XX/XX/2023 shows new balance of {$170.00} due by XX/XX/2023. See Exhibit A. This balance was paid by me on XX/XX/2023, from my XXXX checking account. See Exhibit B. However, this payment of {$170.00} was NEVER reflected on the next Statement Period XX/XX/2023 to XX/XX/2023. My payment of {$170.00} was NEVER credited to the Balance. The only thing that was credited to the Balance, were Cash Rewards in the amount of {$14.00}. See Exhibit C. Per my phone conversation with Wells Fargo Customer Service, a lady on the other end told me flat out, we dont have to credit your payment toward the balance, which is exactly what was erroneously implemented. However, under XXXX ( XXXX XXXX Billing Act ), my payments should have been credited against the existing balance thus lowering the amount due in the next statement. Therefore, the New Balance of {$430.00} is incorrect. It should have been as follows : {$430.00} - {$170.00} = {$260.00}. I do NOT owe more than this amount to Wells Fargo. They will receive this last payment on XX/XX/2023 ( due on the XXXX ). I have closed this card and will never look back.
