Consumer Complaint: This has been an ongoing issue with PayPal credit to the point that this company closed my account for return payments when the entire time the money has been sitting in the PayPal account for synchrony to pull from. I set up payments to be drawn from the main PayPal account and numerous times I get emails that the payment was returned and I am charged late fees. After 2-3 times of this, which each time this has happened I look at my PayPal account and the funds are sitting there untouched, so I set up yet another payment to be drawn from PayPal. For some reason it always goes through the second time. But nonetheless, apparently I am a risk for returned payments that should have never been returned in the first place and my account was closed. Now, for the month of XXXX I had a payment due on XXXX for {$15.00}. The total balance due is {$130.00}. I have {$140.00} in my PayPal account, which when I set up payment on XX/XX/ I did so for the full amount and the payment source was set for drawing the funds from the main PayPal account. I got an email that payment was scheduled and the account it was supposed to be drawn from ( main PayPal ). I get another email that payment was posted. Now, yet again, I received an email that my payment was returned. HOW. I go to my account, PayPal credit is no longer listed on my main page AND the {$140.00} in the PayPal account that was there to cover the {$130.00} is still there.I have endured numerous late fees due to this system they are using. My account was closed due to this when the money is just sitting there. And now its like they are trying to get one more fee out of me.

Consumer Complaint: I sent a communication to XXXXXXXX XXXX, regarding my option to opt out of having my nonpublic personal information shared/reported to any credit bureaus including XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. In regards 15 USC Code 6802, it states that : a financial institution may not, directly or through any affiliate, disclose to a nonaffiliated third party ( XXXXXXXX XXXX AND THE BUREAUS MENTIONED ABOVE ARE NOT AFFILIATED ) any nonpublic personal information, unless such financial institution provides or has provided to the consumer a notice that complies with section 6803 of this title. ( b ) Opt out ( 1 ) In general A financial institution may not disclose nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party unless ( A ) such financial institution clearly and conspicuously discloses to the consumer, in writing or in electronic form or other form permitted by the regulations prescribed under section 6804 of this title, that such information may be disclosed to such third party ; ( B ) the consumer is given the opportunity, before the time that such information is initially disclosed, to direct that such information not be disclosed to such third party ; and ( They NEVER gave me this information/option ) ( C ) the consumer is given an explanation of how the consumer can exercise that nondisclosure option. ( Again, they never gave me that option when the transaction was initially done ). *Also see ; 12 CFR Part 1016 Subpart A* They DID NOT give me full disclosure when the transaction initially took place, which is misleading and fraudulent. NONPUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION MEANS : personally identifiable financial information ( i ) provided by a consumer to a financial institution ; ( ii ) resulting from any transaction with the consumer or any service performed for the consumer ; or ( iii ) otherwise obtained by the financial institution. Consumer Complaint: I went to do a soft pull on my credit score beginning XX/XX/XXXX cause was looking into making a home loan to rebuild my moms home and with using my personal bank that allows it without credit score being affected. Opened it up and showed XXXX as my score. Went to look at credit report and I had over 14 new open issues at top and below showing all open accts from XXXX of XXXX and a couple in XXXX. Below I have uploaded all reports that havent been authorized by me. And police repost also made which have been uploaded. It has taken me almost 3/4 months to get here now and place this report in hopes to fix my credit.

Consumer Complaint: LETTER to Care Credit XXXX XXXX, XXXX. No response from company. In reviewing activity on my account, I see that every payment due date ( XXXX ) a late fee is assessed on my account. The late fee increased from {$30.00} in XXXX to {$41.00}. Rather than my balance decreasing as expected since I always paid more than the amount due, my balance has remained high due to late fees being assessed ON the due date ( XXXX ) rather than AFTER the due date to confirm a payment being late. Additionally, the late fee amount exceeds the maximum late fee allowed in Maryland. CareCredit is committing a rip off of consumers as evidenced by my payment history : XX/XX/XXXX late fee 7 days later payment of {$200.00} XX/XX/XXXX late fee 1 day later payment of {$200.00} XX/XX/XXXX late fee 3 days later payment of {$200.00} XXXX XXXX late fee 11 days later payment of {$200.00} XXXX XXXX late fee 7 days later payment of {$200.00}. XXXX XXXX late fee 2 days later payment of {$200.00} XXXX XXXX late fee 4 days later payment of {$200.00} I called CareCredit today regarding the XXXX late fee which was refunded by the auto system. I am requesting that CareCredit reviews these late fees charged in respect to state law AND reasonableness. How can a company charge a late fee before the due date has passed? Consequently, CareCredit has preemptively negated my effort to pay more than the amount due each month to reduce my balance as soon as possible! CareCredits policy of charging a late fee irrespective of whether a payment is late ( evidenced by assessing the fee ON the due date ) is FRAUD!! I look forward to a response from CareCredit.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I applied for a PayPal Credit Card. I was denied because Synchrony Bank claimed that I had a previous PayPal Credit card that was not paid as agreed. This is a false statement because my previous experience with Pay Pal Credit was covered by the CFPB lawsuit : PayPal to Refund {$15.00} Million to Consumers and Pay {$10.00} Million Fine XXXX , D.C. Today the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) filed a complaint and proposed consent order in federal court against PayPal , Inc. for illegally signing up consumers for its online credit product, PayPal Credit, formerly known as Bill Me Later. The CFPB alleges that PayPal deceptively advertised promotional benefits that it failed to honor, signed consumers up for credit without their permission, made them use PayPal Credit instead of their preferred payment method, and then mishandled billing disputes. Under the proposed order, PayPal would pay {$15.00} million in consumer redress and a {$10.00} million penalty, and it would be required to improve its disclosures and procedures.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2024 I received a " Card Approval Notification '' e-mail and then a " Fraudulent Email Alert '' e-mail from Synchrony Bank the Credit Card company for my Sam 's Credit Card. Apparently, someone was able to get online and change my Home Address and Phone Number in that account. Then they were able to get a card sent to them and used it after activating it the same day. I called Synchrony Bank to get this resolved and they had to verify my identity using some phone app because the thieves had replaced my home address and phone number with theirs. Upon, trying to make this app work I had to take pic of my GA Drivers Lic. The front one worked fine but when I was taking the back one I tried XXXX times and even had my wife verify I was doing it correctly the last XXXX times and it rejected my image. So, I have to wait XXXX biz days to get a code to verify myself only problem is they never asked me for my actual mailing address so they will be sending that code to the actual thieves. I asked HOW this could have happened? How did someone hack my account and change that information? I received NO answer and now I am looking at trying to fix this.

Consumer Complaint: I received a notice in the mail dated XXXX that Lowes/Synchrony Bank is going to start charging a {$1.00} month Paper Statement Fee to receive paper statements in the mail unless the balance is less than {$2.00}. This is absurd. Consumers should be entitled to paper copies of all disclosures and bills, including monthly statements, as would be done in any other financial transaction. This is clearly a money-grab in the hopes that people do not simply pitch the pages of disclosures and/or notice a small-dollar charge amongst the other monthly expenses. They also do not allow consumers to make this absurd, required change via the Lowes XXXXXXXX XXXX where all other financial and account transactions are handled. Perhaps if they were truly concerned about saving money on postage, they would only send me what is needed and required for the monthly statement, rather than including additional advertisements and unnecessary envelopes. They could also offer an incentive such as a XXXX XXXXmonth Electronic Statement Credit , if its that valuable. They are also increasing NSF fees from {$30.00} to {$41.00}.

Consumer Complaint: I had to change my payment date due to a sudden increase in the payment amount. When I checked the portal, my credit line had decreased, and the monthly payment had increased. I did not receive a notification of this change. I tried calling on XX/XX/2024, once I noticed the change. The representative who received the call was not helpful. In short, they told me my promotion had ended, and that's why I was being charged. I was trying to explain that I did not receive a notice, but they seemed annoyed and rudely said, " Anything else? No? Okay, bye. '' I tried calling again and was unable to get a hold of anyone. I reached out to the chat and asked to cancel the late fee that I noticed they added. It's extremely difficult to get a hold of a representative, and the notifications provided by our " XXXX XXXX experts '' have not been helpful regarding my account. It's not fair that I made some payments to lower my amount, and without notice, they decreased the credit limit and increased my monthly payments and interest. This is not acceptable.
