Consumer Complaint: Original notification to Paypal on XX/XX/22, shopping for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX with XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX XXXX. Online Franchise Store Popped up. As I was looking as system, screen flashed a couple of times and then stated purchase completed?? I did not authorize. Looked in email for verification and to date never received an email to the email XXXX from XXXX. Made several attempts to contacts and no response. Asked Paypal to refund as it was fraud. Verified same day with XXXX did not have a franchise by that name. XXXX received credit on accoutn and assummed handled. XXXX it was back on bill?? Since then over XXXX hours spent trying to get this cleared. Only until I sent formal complaint to now XXXX XXXX XXXX owns Paypal Credit ) did they move all transaction from old account and opened a new account and is currently investigating. On numerous occassions requested from Paypal, Paypal credit a copy of tracking, phone # from said merchant - nothing ... .i could verify.I went on to Paypal community blog to find over XXXX complaints of the same nature. Some with same name some with different name but similar scenario. Paypal did nothing!!!

Consumer Complaint: I've been looking for a creditor of sort to help with fixing our credits. I answered questions that a regular creditor would by the name XXXX who " works '' for XXXX XXXX XXXX I told him XXXX of the sore thumb problems that I had which was : fraud '' someone in West Virginia was going to school in my name and didn't pay the bill. Far as I know, you must have a XXXX or a XXXX XXXX XXXX. So, now I'm stuck with the inquiry and my husband and I want to buy a home now that we are leaving the military. This XXXX guy put me in the exactly situation of what I told him that got into debt in the first place. he used everything I said against me, right after I signed and signatured the papers that he sent me. XXXX re-seny me the papers with more writing on it saying that they are not credit repairs and that they are a school '' as i I agreed to that. A person is not stupid because they don't have certificates of attendance in high school or a collage. It just means they didn't get a money trade skills in a job to make greater income of their choice. I contact PAYPAL and they refuse to give me my money back. PAYPAL wants me to believe they are doing their investigation by asking me to summited the same information that I've been sending rhem more than 3 times. Second '' giving the other party more than enough time to give me the service that I never asked for, but because I paid them '' PAYPAL eants to believe that is want I knew what I was getting which is nothing. PAYPAL REFUSE TO INVESTIGATE and this is why I haven't received my money back. PAYPAL expecting for me to just leave this alone

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021 I made a purchase through XXXX using the Venmo Debit card as my preferred card of payment. It was initially declined because I forgot to link my Venmo Debit card with my bank to take out whatever cash was necessary incase the fund in my Venmo account was insufficient. I then linked my Venmo card to my Bank and did the process again in purchasing my tickets to XXXX. This cleared through XXXX and I received the receipt from XXXX that the purchase was complete and paid in full. As Venmo used the money in my account and supplemented it with about XXXX XXXX from my bank account. Later that day, I then received some money transferred into my Venmo account by another party at the same time At about XXXX XXXX XXXXo XXXX the same day I attempted to transfer the XXXX dollars into my own bank account. However, Venmo would not allow me to transfer the money. Then I received an e mail stating my Venmo account was frozen. No rhyme no reason just frozen. It then stated that I need to send a copy of my ID, which I sent. This does not make sense as all the accounts are in my name, and they all have my personal information in file. I am now told that their turn around time is over 8 days and I can not access my money. thanks you.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/21 a scammer posing as my girlfriend on the app Venmo requested {$400.00} stating that they needed it for groceries and because they left their wallet at home and that they would pay me back. The scammer used my girlfriends name and profile picture. I sent the {$400.00} because I thought it was my girlfriend. I reported this as fraud to Venmo and all they have done is continue to blame me and state that there is nothing they can do. They said they would investigate the issue but also said I would never be issued a refund if the money could be recovered. This is NOT okay.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021 I attempted to send a PayPal payment to my wife, XXXX XXXX. When I entered her name in PayPal 's website it came up, I sent a payment of XXXX to her. I asked my wife if she received the payment and she stated she had not received anything. I got back on to PayPal website and realized that there was another person with the exact same name as my wife and the other person is who the money was sent to. I immediately contacted PayPal to see what I could do, they suggested I cancel the payment but that did not work. They suggested I stop payment the transfer through my bank which I did but PayPal used my debit card after the payment was denied using my checking account information. Now because PayPal is just a payment processor my bank will not help me get my money back. I attempted to contact the person the money went to in error but have received no response.
