Consumer Complaint: I received a payment of {$300.00} on XX/XX/XXXX through PayPal as part of my XXXX baby registry. PayPal has withheld the funds until now with no explanation other than under review and will not allow me to cancel the transaction and refund our friends or do anything. The money is simply sitting in PayPals account and they refuse to take any action.

Consumer Complaint: Last XX/XX/2021, they permanently closed my Paypal account without any clear explanation at all. There were no refund requests or chargebacks or whatsoever. The account is clean. They closed the account for a reason that is baseless. Then on XX/XX/2021, Paypal took my remaining balance of only {$140.00} without my permission. I was expecting to withdraw my money after six months then they just take it away. I want my money back and remove the linked bank accounts and bank cards from my Paypal account. I am also worried that Paypal might steal the money on those bank and credit card accounts in the future. I am really worried. Please help. I badly need help. Please ... ... ... ... .HELP.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021, PayPal permanently limited the account of a household member. To my surprise, I just logged in to my account today and found that they have permanently limited my account too due to " Potential Risk ''. This's retaliatory action, being a member from the same household doesn't give you the right to shut down my account too. Please indicate what activity did you determine as " Potential Risk ''? My PayPal account history and activities are flawless, with no fraudulent or chargeback transactions ever. I had my account for so many years without any issues. Is it legal to shut down my account because of another household member being unfairly shut down? Please don't reply with nonsense Terms & Conditions. The last activity in my account was on XX/XX/2021, you didn't shut down my account UNTIL you shut down the other member 's account as a retaliatory action.

Consumer Complaint: Paypal sent me a notification of some upcoming changes to their user agreement, but doesn't give users a way to see the full text of the agreement, only a basic description of what topics the changes to the agreement would affect. I talked with a customer service rep, and a supervisor, and they said the full text wasn't something they could give me.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: I received an email around XX/XX/XXXX, in which PayPal claimed that they were selling off my debt to a collection company. I was so confused by this, because not only have I not used PayPal in years, but I have not been able to even login to my account in roughly the same amount of time. Then I looked at the total of this supposed debt that I have, and it said {$15000.00} and some change. I was absolutely flabbergasted, as I can definitively say I never ever used PayPal to accrue {$15000.00} worth of anything. I actually dont even remember a time Ive used PayPal in my name. I feel like they are just trying to take money from me, and claim that I have a debt that I did not incur. I have tried to email them to appeal this supposed debt, but they are not budging. They are claiming that guy was the one that in fact spend this money. I can 100 % say I was not. They said the charges are from XXXX, and I did not use PayPal in XXXX. I am at a loss, and I do not know what to do about this. I have worked very hard to fix my credit recently, and this is absolutely going to destroy it. This is totally unfair and not right in every way. How can a company just do this to me? I need help. It is entirely possible that this is a case of identity theft, where somebody fraudulently use my PayPal years ago. I just dont know. PayPal is being extremely uncooperative, and they wont even provide me with a detailed list of these supposed charges, so that I can even dispute them.
