Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, I discovered about a dozen fraudulent charges on my XXXX that's linked to my Paypal account. I worked with XXXX to remove the charges, many of which were billed to " Paypal XXXX AL. '' In XXXX, I got a notice from Paypal that they'd suspended my account until I reimbursed them {$150.00}. When I spoke with them, they said someone had used my Paypal account as a " guest '' to make the purchases and that XXXX had refunded XXXX {$150.00} too much for one of the fraudulent charges. I verified with XXXX that they'd been refunded the exact amount of the fraudulent charges - no more and no less. But Paypal insisted on me sending them a check for {$150.00} which I did because it was the only way to close out my account with them ( and I wanted to avoid this negatively affecting my credit score ). But I don't feel it was right for them to make me pay because they have bad security on their site that allows criminals to make fraudulent purchases using my account. I was the victim yet I had to pay.

Ever since I turned XXXX years of age I have tried to make paypal account but every time I make it the account gets permanently closed. I have done nothing wrong along with the fact that I just turned 18 a lifetime ban from paypal is just not something I want because it's such a wonderful platform that I've patiently waited to use. I think that my parents had been banned before for something they did on XXXX and maybe the Address gets linked or something but I quite literally haven't ever had a paypal account before I turned XXXX. I tried using my main email XXXX and just about one day later the account got locked for permenant. Please review this I shouldn't suffer a lifetime ban from paypal for something I wasn't responsible for. I live with my parents but I am still a human being and their actions shouldn't reflect mine. I am responsible financially and have 3 credit cards. I would love to use paypal. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated in this matter.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2019, I made a payment to a XXXX vendor through PayPal. It was an established account I had already been paying for years. My credit card was charged but the funds were never transferred. I contacted PayPal. They assured me nothing was wrong, sometimes some payments are placed under administrative review, and that I should feel confident to continue making payments to the account. I made a total of six payments over the month, totalling over {$27000.00}. During that time, I contacted PayPal a couple more times. Each time they assured me the payments would be processed and that they didn't see any issues with the account. After a month, I stopped sending more payments but continued to contact PayPal. They told me it sometimes takes up to six months for compliance to review a payment. After six months, they asked me to be patient and said there was no timeline for a compliance review. I submitted a complaint to the New York Attorney General 's office. PayPal responded by declaring my transactions were flagged as an OFAC violation but they wouldn't give me any information regarding the violation or how to challenge the allegation. Recently, I inquired as to the status of the funds. PayPal insisted they had already refunded me the money in the XXXX, XXXX. They even marked my transactions as refunded and informed my vendor that the funds had been refunded. It was all a big lie. The funds were never refunded. I requested documentation showing the funds had been returned to me. PayPal refused. I contacted my credit card company ( XXXX XXXX ), who told me any refunds would have appeared on my statements and there are no refunds from PayPal. I believe PayPal lied about the OFAC violations. They deceived me into sending additional funds to an account they had already flagged. They lied to me ( and continue to lie ) about the status of the funds. They defamed me by falsely informing my vendor that the funds had been refunded to me. This has continued for over two and a half years and they still insist on lying to me about the status of the funds. This is grand larceny. PayPal has stolen from me.

Consumer Complaint: This is regarding transaction ids : XXXX and XXXX I paid for these transactions using paypal key for convenience which is backed by my credit card. For some reason paypal key authorized these transactions via an echeck despite me selecting a credit card banking my key. I also had multiple other cards in my account all active and willing to complete the charge if needed. Paypal to reduce its fees decided to debit my bank account instead, it debited this amount twice and it led to two NSF fees of {$20.00} each. I tried to resolve the issue via the PayPal help feature on the side and the agent after telling me they will resolve it asked me to call. After I asked for revocation of authorization to debit my bank and they closed the chat.

Consumer Complaint: I received an email today from PayPal informing me that my account has been permanently limited due to a potential risk associated with it. I had my account since 2013, I never had a suspicious/fraudulent activity or a chargeback. All credit cards used are my own. Their system never flagged my account for closure but it was the agent I talked to over the phone this morning. I called PayPal to inquire about my PayPal key which has stopped working for a week, something that frequently happens. The agent told me that it is because I used it at the same merchant for the same transaction 3 times so their system flagged the transaction as " suspicious ''. It looks like returned purchases using PayPal key can sometimes get refunded to PayPal balance instead of the credit card that was used. This's a known issue that PayPal has been aware of but never took action to fix, instead, they've been shutting people down without warning. I never received a warning from PayPal letting me know that this activity will lead to my account closure.

But for some reason, PayPal made all of my money on hold because they thought my personal account was used for selling stuff. And now for the next few payments, I receive through PayPal, the payments may be temporarily held for up to 21 days. I need PayPal to lift up these pending payments also put my money back on my balance and NOT on hold. The money is from my friends & family for my own personal and daily use. Immediately when I received the machine was not the machine I ordered ( older model, not the same attachments, not touchscreen, just totally different machine ) AND it was broken. I tried resolving with XXXX and the seller to no avail and then filed a dispute with PayPal on XX/XX/2021. I went back and forth for 2 MONTHS with them at which time I heard EVERY excuse in the book and the resolution date was changed 14 times. PayPal responded to my previous complaint and talked about a COMPLETELY different dispute. This complaint is regarding dispute number XXXX , attached is just some of the XXXX I had to deal with while this ordeal with PayPal. They protect fraudulent sellers just to make a few bucks.
