Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2021 received notice via email of " charge of {$540.00} on PayPal account, needed to verify if transaction was valid ; if not, needed to call phone number listed, or no call, transaction would go through, '' Person listed from XX/XX/XXXX . Called phone number, person answering very difficult to understand his speech. I gave the PayPal account number, requested charge to be deleted, which was acknowledged. I do not have a PayPal account, have never had one. He asked for name and other information to " verify account/transaction ; '' which I refused to give him, I told him this was a fraudulent call, that I was turning him into FCC/DOJ fraud site , then ended the call. The email used my correct email account.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2021 of this year. I had to file a police report due to the fact that my house was broken into. Upon examining what was taken I realized my wallet was stolen with my PayPal cash card, my drivers license, social security card and my laptop with all my passwords to my account, also some jewelry items I had at the time. Due to this issue I have dealt with a lot of issues with Identity theft. My PayPal account was hacked. My XXXX was hacked. I contacted the XXXX Sheriffs Department, filed a police report and was advised to contact XXXX to delete my account and that I would need to contact PayPal and inform them of any issues with my account and that they would investigate the issues surrounding the burglary. I was finally able to have my court case and the perpetrator arrested who unbeknownst to me was a neighbor who lived 2 doors down from me at the time of the incident. Working with PayPal I had to submit a claim due to activity showing money received by from the Department of Labor in XXXX State was being posted was then immediately transferred to multiple cards that the perpetrator had attached to my account. I immediately contacted PayPal again. I was able to change my email, phone number and information on my account and had secured my account. During this time from XX/XX/2021- XX/XX/XXXX I didn't have access to my account. After submitting my claim. I was informed to supply documentation supporting my claim. I supplied a police report and docs from the court. I was informed by PayPal a few days later PayPal closed the claim ( XXXX ) and I was refunded {$3700.00}. Due to the fraudulent activity PayPal has limited my account permanently to the point where I cant access the refunded funds holding me liable even though the claim was won in my favor. I contacted PayPal XXXX and was advised that they would allow me to add my card or bank to withdraw the funds. I have contacted support and was advised even though PayPal corporate informed them to add my card and/or bank so I would be able to access the monies stolen from me. That I would need still to wait another 6 months to receive my money even though I have waited for the outcome of this issue. This is unacceptable! Why should I or anyone have to pay for the acts of a criminal? All I want is PayPal to acknowledge that I did win my claim, remove the limitation on my account, allow me to attach my card, bank to transfer my money out to me or send me a refund by check and to close the account. I have attached a screenshot of the message showing the message received from PayPal stating they would allow me to have my funds and then the next minute say sorry you have to wait 180 days. I also submitted a claim to the XXXX XXXX XXXX *see attached*

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021, PayPal permanently limited my account. On XX/XX/2021, the company responded to a CFPB complaint with false claims that need to be addressed. PayPal mentioned that the main reason they closed my account was because : ( there was a high level of risk associated with your Account. Specifically, your Account exchanged several payments from an account that shares information with your Account. We can confirm the accounts share financials, address, and login information ). The account they're referring to is my wife 's account. Nothing is their terms and conditions prohibits members from the same household from having their own accounts or sending money to each other. I don't remember that we ever used the same payment method on the same account but most importantly, PayPal NEVER received a dispute on any transaction made through my account. Your review and closure of my account was not " periodic '' as you alleged, you closed my account after you closed my wife 's, post a phone call she made to your customer service. You closed my account based on false information and for that reason I'm requesting that you reinstate my account.

Consumer Complaint: I got a text message alerting me that I made a purchase of XXXX EUR and 1 min later another XXXX EUR. ( mind you i did not make these purchases ) I immediate call my credit card company and lock my credit card in foreign countries. Then I try logging into my paypal account, but I can't ( because the hacker, closed my account ) I then proceed to use text chat box in the paypal main page, but XXXX the lady who works for paypal, says she can't help me because my account was closed. Basic runaround and tells me to email paypal. So i email paypal, and they tell me that I have to log in and goto the resolution center and deal with the problem there. I write them telling them, I can't log in to my account because it was closed and hacked. But the email i received tells me the same message over and over and over again. WIthout any help or resolution. Finally i call paypal, and they give me the basic runaround, Im on the phone with recordings and bots, and another 40 mins wasted. I finally reach somebody and they ask me for my information, and after waiting another 30 mins, she tells me my account was closed so, they can't do nothing and gives me another phone, which doesn't work. I get upset and ask to speak to the supervisor, i wait and wait... .then finally supervisor XXXX gets on the phone and asks me the same questions and I couldn't understand what she was saying... .and basically, ... ..i think nothing will be done. I don't want to call him, or deal with them anymore. I wasted time, energy, been stressed the whole day. Please help me.

To protect from any problems, XXXX put a hold for 180 days and I received a letter that I can withdraw my money if during 180 days no issues arise - THERE WERE NO CLAIMS OR ISSUES- I HAVE GOT A POSITIVE FEEDBACK - AND THE BUYER IS HAPPY 3. I did not Violate any of the terms of the Acceptable Use Policy and this transaction caused ZERO damage to any party involved. I would like you to check all the records and positive feedback to see that nothing was violated. Cancel this withdraw that was made by mistake and return my money back so I could withdraw them and close my account. Otherwise, will I have to use legal enforcement : - I will join a class-action lawsuit - I will submit a complaint to CFPB ( Consumer Financial Protection Bureau XXXX and XXXX - I will file a claim in the local small claims court.
