Consumer Complaint: Paypal account on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX was locked for 180 days due to Acceptable Use Terms of Violation. I contacted Paypal customer service and stated can you please tell me what transactions were in violation of the agreement? I said I am reading over the agreement and I do not see any transactions. Paypal stated no we can't tell you what transactions. I said so you are telling me I am in violation and your company can't elaborate? I said can you get me in touch with a representative that can assist me. She said no you can withdraw your funds in 180 days. I said ok I will wait. Fast forward to XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I checked my Paypal account and they took XXXX of my money. They transferred the my whole balance back to themselves. I called Paypal support and she stated XXXX in damages. I said what damages can you show me some documentation. She stated no. I said can a supervisor please call me back. I believe this is poor customer service and basically theft.

Consumer Complaint: To Whomever this may concern, My name is XXXX XXXX and I run a family owned fashion brand on XXXX. We decided it would be a good idea to use paypal as a payment processor for our sales. In the beginning, we had some issues with paypal due to it being a brand new account so we were on the phone with them 3-4x a week verifying tracking # 's and other business info to prove our legitimacy etc. We provided them with all of the information that was needed by them. It was going so well with them, and so was our business. Black Friday and Cyber Monday is the busiest time of the year for us so there was a high amount of transactions/orders. We roughly processed around XXXX with them. Right after Black Friday was over, Paypal has held around XXXX of our funds ( 180 days ) and we need this to pay our employees, pay for ad spend, and other overhead costs. I spoke to XXXX and she reassured me everything was perfect on their side after providing them all of the documentations they asked for ( before the 180 day hold ). I called paypal the day the limitation hit our account and the rep said he could not give us any info. The least we can get is an explanation. This is really hurting our business. We need that XXXX back. I am very disappointed and plan on taking legal action. Then, out of nowhere

Consumer Complaint: Venmo and XXXX have a collaboration to allow customers to send payments using their XXXX Send account. I have had issues using this service since XX/XX/2021 and was unsuccessful in sending a payment to another Venmo account. Regardless of who the payment was being sent to I still received an email from Venmo stating that the transition was cancelled and being returned. but the problem is that the funds were not returned to XXXX which is the payment funding resource. That is fine that the transaction was cancelled but the financial issue that has caused financial harm is that funds were not returned to the original payment source. The payment of {$1100.00} was not returned to XXXX and the funds are frozen in the account. I am not sending the funds to my personal bank account because the purpose of the transaction is to fund an Art project through a business account and I need the proper documentation and a track record of receipts. If the transaction was cancelled by Venmo then the funds need to be returned to XXXX the original funding source. I received an email stating that the account was frozen and to upload my identity. I already uploaded my identity. Venmo successfully verified my identity but then froze the Venmo account a second time even though I already uploaded a picture of my identification. The funds are still not returned to XXXX. I have contacted Venmo and chatted with customer service and customer service is asking me to submit a copy of my bank account to unfreeze my account even though I did not use my bank account to make the {$1100.00} Venmo transaction. I am not sending the funds to my personal business account because that defeats the purpose of using the XXXX SEND product for the Venmo transaction. The bottom line is that the transaction of {$1100.00} that was cancelled by Venmo needs to be returned to XXXX SEND ASAP!

I called PayPal, Inc on XX/XX/21 and verified that I have no negative balance in my accounts with them. The PayPal Representative said they do not use XXXX to collect debts and that this sounded like Fraud and that I should report this incident to the Authorities. I'm guessing I have become a victim of identity theft, or that XXXX is just a scam company. I will be calling XXXX on Monday XX/XX/21 to formerly dispute this claim.

They will not release our funds until we sign onto their " Giving Fund. '' If we don't sign onto this fund, they keep our money for XXXX days until they send a check. I have tried at least XXXX times to fill out the form but I keep getting an error message. I spent over an hour on the phone with a representative who couldn't do anything but " fill out a ticket. '' When I finally received an email from PayPal I again followed the directions but got the same error message. I would like our funds released. Thank you.

I did not authorize this payment to this incorrect selection of the recipient by PayPal. My reply to PayPal is enclosed in ( -- ). Following is their response and my ( reply. ) Dear XXXX XXXX, My name is XXXX with PayPal XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Your outreach was forwarded to me so that I can fully address ( Sir, this fully address did not take place ) your concerns. ( I have several concerns you did not address to any degree ) I am sorry for the difficulty you have experienced and appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention. A review of your PayPal account shows that on XX/XX/2021, you sent ) ) a personal payment in the amount of EUR XXXX. On XX/XX/2021, you filed a buyer complaint stating the transaction was unauthorized. ( YES, the payment was unauthorized because I did not select that recipient you at PayPal chose that recipient with the associated incorrect email ; I did not!! ) The case was denied the same day as you did authorize the transaction on your account. ( ( Correction needed again -- -I did not authorize a payment to the individual recipient you chose the recipientit ( HE and his incorrect email address ) did not come from me. ) ) The case reference for the complaint is XXXX. PayPal is a user-initiated third-party platform that allows users to securely make transactions online. PayPal does not have the ability to send payments on your behalf, nor is PayPal able to change the information provided in the transaction. ( This statement is in gross error. An XXXX number can not be used to send payments via PayPal ( this information does not display on your page that the blanks are filled in for sending to an individual. I was receiving money from friends and family, but Paypal took it upon themselves to restrict access to my account and prevent me from taking my money out. PayPal issues NO communication to me, and gave me NO indication why this decision was made prior to action being taken. PayPal never reached out to me to verify activity or verify my identity. PayPal acted solely on their own with a lack of information and a lack of due diligence. PayPal had taken it upon themselves to withhold my money and keep it in their possession with no clear instructions or options of resolution. Consumer Complaint: On XXXX I made 4 separate payments totaling {$150.00} dollars when combined to a user on Venmo. When I made these payments I checked the option for Venmo 's purchase protection, as these payments were to pay for a service. I did not receive the service for which I paid ; and, the seller refused a refund and blocked all attempts at communications. I therefore submitted a dispute with Venmo to reverse the charges, thinking it would be an easy resolution since I used their purchase protection option. They have, however, failed to provide any resolution and continue to evade my questions about the issue. I can not have my bank reverse the charges due to ACH regulations and the seller has blocked contact, so Venmo is the only one capable of reversing the charges. In short, I made a payment on Venmo and did not receive what I paid for, but Venmo refuses to refund the charges.
