Consumer Complaint: My Paypal account is suddenly permanently limited without any valid reason and I am unable to get help from the customer service team. I have already provided all the information as asked by the PayPal team. But they are not ready to provide me any help and suddenly closed my account and blocked my money for 180 days. I understand how important it is to review the accounts timely to keep PayPal a safe environment for both buyers and sellers. However, I have been using the account for some time now and always work in good faith and follow all the policies and user agreements as stated and agreed upon while I signed up for the account. Even the account health is in good condition. I would request PayPal to please look into the complaint and forward my complaint to the relevant department or team who could help me solve the limitation on my account. This email was sent on XX/XX/22 and says to contact PayPal Help-line at XXXX. I usually delete these but it is getting very annoying!! Please help!! Thank-you!! The transaction ID is given as : XXXX and the amount is given as {$500.00} quantity XXXX and Company listed is XXXX XXXX XXXX I have no idea who that is and most certainly did NOT order anything from them!!!!

Thanks, Team Venmo XX/XX/2022 My daughter tried to send me some money but couldn't because my account was blocked. I tried to log in but it said my account was suspended. XX/XX/2022 I called and the rep said it appears someone was trying to add a bank account to my Venmo. I told him that it wasn't me. He said that he couldn't help me and that I needed to answer the email I received. I followed the instructions in the email and changed my password. When I tried to log in after that, I received a notice that my account was suspended. I sent an email asking for my account to be restored and received the following two messages : Venmo Help You have a new message from Venmo regarding request # XXXX. Consumer Complaint: I bought {$800.00} of XXXX through Paypal, hoping it would increase in value. It went below what I paid for it so I decided to sell. Paypal will not let me sell my XXXX. I have spent countless hours on line and on the phone with Paypal reps, and have been given a dozen different reasons why I am not able to sell my XXXX. I am not new to the world of XXXX and or online trading. Their online system conveniently hits dead end after dead end in the process of trying to sell the XXXX. And customer service says its all my fault. I call XXXX on that. In view of the many ongoing lawsuits against Paypal for this type of behavior, I believe its all a scam to steal my money. Their latest claim is that my cell phone they want me to use for account verification is in my wifes name, and that is not allowed. They want me to buy a new phone in my nameXXXX XXXX I was told by another rep that the cell phone has been authenticated by paypal and should work just fine. But agter 3 days of trying I still can not sell my XXXX, and paypal reps refuse to come up with a solution

Consumer Complaint: I had a Venmo account in which I used as a way to easily transfer funds to friends/family members who also had Venmo. You can attach your debit card and add money to your Venmo account/balance and from there use a designated Venmo card ( debit ) they provide you. I had added nearly XXXX to my Venmo account and used my venmo debit card for every day needs. My account was frozen the first time due to violating the user agreements. I was not told which agreement I violated as I was told by the customer service rep that they were not able to see that part of my account. Approx 4 business days later my account was unfrozen. I was able to continue using the services as needed. Then my account was frozen again for the same you violated user agreements and also we need an unexpired government issued ID. Which I provided. I told the customer service agent I was connected to that I submitted it and was told again 4-5 business days. I was now told my account is permanently disabled. I have over 800.00 sitting there that I do not have access to and their response is it can take up to 180 days to get a response and hopefully be resolved. Consumer Complaint: I received an email with a PayPal logo at the top. It stated that a charge of {$710.00} has been submitted successfully to XXXX XXXX via my PayPal account. Advised me to call Customer Support at ( XXXX ) XXXX for any questions. I did this and spoke to a person identified as XXXX XXXX. He said the charge was made in XXXX XXXX and the money was sent to XXXX XXXX in XXXX. He advised me to download apps from XXXX and XXXX to my XXXX.Theresfter I received an email from XXXX saying the charge would be reversed. I am XXXX XXXX XXXX and believe this was a scam ( Identity Theft ). I have cancelled my PayPal account and frozen my XXXX XXXX. I don't know what else to do. Thank you

Consumer Complaint: Venmo has frozen my account, as well as the funds in it, leaving me with no way to retrieve my funds. My account is frozen because I closed my bank account, at the suggestion of my bank, after falling victim to a scammer. Venmo is aware of the scammer, but has not taken any action against him. I think that it is illegal for Venmo to hold my funds without any way to retrieve them. If Venmo wants to go through the collections process to retrieve the funds from the scam, then I would understand that. I am just asking for the funds that are currently in my account to be released.
