Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, PayPal closed our account for high-risk and advised we would be able to withdraw the balance in XXXX days. With no luck in appealing, we waited XXXX days and on the day it was supposed to be available for withdrawal, PayPal deducted the whole balance claiming it was for damages caused to them. My colleague spent hours on the phone to support but didn't get any reason or justification for the alleged damages which according to PayPal were worth XXXX It seems PayPal is notorious for doing this to their account holders. It is unethical.

Consumer Complaint: Dear CFPB Let me tell you briefly what happened. On XX/XX/2022, PayPal asked me to provide a service fulfillment to customers and clarify the type of my work. All the required files and information were sent on XX/XX/2022, done on XX/XX/2022 I was asked to provide additional documents and information. This was done on XX/XX/2022. After reviewing all the documents and information, they were approved and I could use PayPal normally. I made a withdrawal that was approved and awaiting confirmation. On XX/XX/2022, I logged into my account. I was surprised that the withdrawal process was suspended and my balance was suspended for 180 days, and that I could no longer use PayPal without any justification or explanation. I tried to call customer support over and over again, but to no avail. The only answer is to tell me that the service has been temporarily suspended due to the Covid-19 virus. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX a client sent me XXXX on my Venmo account. I immediately tried to transfer the money to XXXX of my bank accounts linked to my Venmo account. I accepted to pay their {XXXX} fees for an instant transfer. As the instant transfer request did not work, I called Venmo. They told me that this was a glitch in their system and to use a standard transfer, and I did it. To my astonishment, I received an email from Venmo telling me that my account had been frozen. This is what they say : " Your Venmo account has been frozen due to recent activity that appears to be a violation of our User Agreement '' I immediately called them multiple times to ask why, and they refused to give me a reason. I used their system to send a request on XX/XX/XXXX, they did not answer. I called again on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX and could not get any answer. As I can not get my money, I can not ship the product my client ordered, and he wants me to cancel the transaction and refund him. Because of the unlawful attitude of Venmo, I will lose {XXXX}. This is not acceptable, and they should be liable. I have the feeling they illegally do this to thousands of clients, keeping their money for making profit. I am attaching a statement from Venmo showing that I should have received {XXXX} by XX/XX/XXXX, which did not happen. They tell me if did not happen because my account is frozen.

Consumer Complaint: After canceling my subscription with XXXX in XXXX 2022, they illegally charged {$640.00} towards my Paypal account for renewal due in early XXXX. After discovering that PayPal paid this fee, which sent my account into a negative balance, I contacted both my bank and XXXX about this illegal transaction. XXXX refunded my PayPal account, then I removed all my personal information from the site and never used it after that incident.
