Consumer Complaint: I have a venmo account, I was reviewing my transaction history and I misread some transaction and so I submitted a dispute, right when I had submitted it I realized I had misread the date and then I get a notification from venmo saying they locked my account, I told them the mistake and have proven my identity to them but they still have my account and my money locked and they will not release my money or let me close my account, I need this money and they are telling me I need to wait seven business days and this is just plainly unacceptable

Firstly, I would like to emphasize that I have always followed PayPal 's policies and guidelines in using my account. I have never engaged in any fraudulent activities or violated any terms and conditions of the platform. Therefore, I strongly believe that my account should not have been permanently limited in the first place. Secondly, I would like to request PayPal to re-investigate my case and restore my account if possible. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/23 PayPal put a limitation on my account that I have had with them for several years. I used it to do a secure purchase to buy from XXXX XXXX for {$470.00}. PayPal refunded the purchase so I am not getting the product I ordered, and I am being told I will not be able to access that money for 180 days. I spoke with a customer service representative and she was not helpful. Her supervisor was even less so, claiming they could not give a reason as to how I supposedly violated their terms of service. They have given me nothing in terms of resolution. I am being told there is no way to dispute their " limitation '' of my account.

My mother bought insurance policies from a DIFFERENT company, VENMO bought that insurance company and I just received a letter advising they INTEND to SELL OUR PERSONAL information! Like you, we do NOT wish to share our records or finances with anyone! VENMO offers NO " opt-out '' options on their complex site! I include the State of California FORBIDS " companies like VENMO '' from PROFITING by selling ANYONE 'S " PRIVATE information. My mother did NOT buy from VENMO and buying a company should NOT include clients personal records to sell. PLEASE check online and see scores of complaints about VENMO! Sadly VENMO continues their " dirty business '' without opposition! This truly is a unscruplious company! XXXX XXXX
