Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I received a notice from PayPal that an Invoice for {$1400.00} was made to my account. I had not made that transaction with them, so I contacted them, using the Dispute instructions on their website : I called the number listed. I spoke to XXXX XXXX who gave me Trans ID XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Case ID XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and said the transaction was canceled. I also received a notice stating that the invoice was canceled. He then transferred me to XXXX, in their Account Team. Little did I know, at that time, that this was a scam which originated and continued on PayPal for pages and pages of transactions because PayPal did not alert me to the excessive charges. Bottom line, I was scammed out of {$5000.00} from my Bank account. I discovered this on XX/XX/XXXX and filed a Police report as instructed by my bank. Going forward, I spoke to several people at PayPal, including a supervisor and a manager, and explained what had happened. Each person I spoke said they understood. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received 'An Update about your case ' from PayPal , which said " We've completed our review of your unauthorized activity case, and have determined there was no unauthorized use. Based on our review, we found this transaction is consistent with your PayPal history. '' " This transaction ''?? I have 14 pages of transactions, which I sent to them, before I stopped printing them. Further, I've always used them for small amounts, not thousands. They should have alerted me to the excessive charges to my account, just as any reputable credit company does. They have taken no responsibility for what happened to me. And to state that the transactions were not unauthorized transactions is offensive and insulting.

At this point, {$550.00} was transferred via PayPal to the seller. After numerous texts to have the tickets transferred, they asked for a " show merch-fee '' of {$200.00} additional. Seller was reluctant to transfer tickets until the {$200.00} dollars of additional fees were sent. At this point, we believe this activity to be very suspicious, therefore, I contacted both XXXX XXXX and PayPal to stop payment as we never got what was advertised. Subsequent, seller was contacted on numerous occasions to cancel transaction, but I never got a response and was ghosted.

Consumer Complaint: PayPal , Inc. does not send the refund payments that are sent to PayPal by merchants to PayPal CreditXXXX XXXX in a timely manner. This causes the customer/consumer to file a " dispute '' not knowing that PayPal , Inc . actually has received the merchant refund credit but has not forwarded the refund/credit paid by the merchant to PayPal Credit or XXXX XXXX XXXX This causes a lot of headaches. I simply hate/despise using PayPal, Inc./PayPal Credit because of all of the confusion and miscommunications. It is simply horrible. XXXX XXXX has sent PayPal, Inc. a number of refunds/merchant credits that have not been forwarded to PayPal Credit . Not knowing this, I have had to filed disputes unnecessarily. XXXX refunded PayPal, Inc. the total refund for order placed on XX/XX/2023 but PayPal , Inc. has not notified PayPal Credit and a dispute was created. Also XXXX had refunded PayPal, Inc. almost {$120.00} on an order of {$170.00} made XX/XX/2023. I did a dispute. This process with PayPal , Inc. is horrible, inefficient, does not communicate with PayPal Credit, and is not worth the time, energy, and headache.. PayPal 's lack of record keeping and working with PayPal Credit causes the consumer to be upset with the merchant and PayPal Credit needle ssly when it is the fault of PayPal , Inc. itself. If I was XXXX XXXX I would stop doing any business with PayPal as it causes too much conflict. When PayPal , Inc. was simply PayPal, things were much better.

Consumer Complaint: mistakenly sent rent payments to the wrong person over the course of several months, person did not respond to requests for repayment and Venmo refused to reverse the payments. currently out {$5600.00} as a result of this. All of this happened in 2021 and has resulted in significant further financial damages for myself and my family, including payday loans and moving costs associated with eviction. Venmo has ruined multiple lives in their refusal to fix this. I have not had a moment of peace in my life since this went down, and if my life continues on this trajectory I will wind up homeless.

The person was able to get into my Paypal account and sent payments from several bank accounts to a number of individuals. After notifying my banks they were able to reverse the payments. After notifying Paypal, however, they stated that it was my fault that this occurred and threatened to send the {$1000.00} negative balance to collections. To prevent this from happening, I sent {$1000.00} to Paypal to cover the fraudulent balance.

Consumer Complaint: I spoke with XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2023 to discuss problems I have encountered because they mistakenly took 4 loan payments out in XXXX on the same date. We did not recover from fees and unpaid obligations. I asked for a loan payment waiver for two months. They said they would try to get an approval for my request since they made a mistake in XXXX. They called me back on XX/XX/2023 and said my waiver was approved. They stated that they wouldn't take money out for one month. On XX/XX/XXXX, they took two payments out and when I called to complain, they said that the waiver started on the XXXX XXXX XXXX. Today, on XX/XX/2023, they took out 1 payment. I called to let them know, they said that only one payment was waived. I let them know that both loans were supposed to be waived. I also let them know that I never received any documentation acknowledging the loan waiver. The agent I spoke with, XXXX, XXXX is her agent number, said that they did not send any information. I had known that only one loan was waived, I could've tried to prepare for it. They never sent any information to me. Their actions are reckless and predatory. Their mismanagement of my loans have caused me tremendous financial devastation. Please help.
