They called back within XXXX hours of being reminded they did not have consent and they are not to call this number. Again they were told the number should not be called. They do not have consent to call the number or robo dial as they were doing. They proceeded to call back XXXX more times on the XXXX and once on the XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I am a cosigner on my sister 's private student loan with Navient for approximately {$5000.00}. Navient reports me as delinquent on payments for this loan to the credit bureaus. However, when I or my sister calls, they sometimes tell us that they see me as a cosigner, sometimes they do not. They tell us sometimes there is a balance and sometimes they tell us there is a XXXX balance and the loan is closed. However, they continue to report me as delinquent, causing a lot of harm to my credit score. I have requested to be released as a cosigner from the account ; I received a letter in the mail from them saying my application was not complete. Navient will not explain to me what information is missing from the release cosigner application. They just go back to telling me there is a XXXX balance or they do not see me as a cosigner when I call to ask for help.

Consumer Complaint: Beginning, Of this year XXXX I Started Checking on my personal credit. Upon Requesting a annual credit report, I discovered numerous negative derogatory reporting on my personal credit report. It was clear to me that someone committed fraud by using my name and personal information without my knowledge and authorization to obtain three separate student loans in the amounts of {$44000.00} XXXX, {$30000.00} DatedXXXX, {$10000.00} Dated : XX/XX/XXXX. All Unauthorized, Unrecognized, And Unknown. I immediately contacted the company NAVIENT I spoke to several Acct. managers and informed them that my name and information has been compromised by fraudulent activity and this loan was not authorized by me. They didn't seem to be concerned about my alert to the fraud. I requested proof of all signatures and documents They sent me a fraud package to fill out and return back to there fraud department and wait for a response. After, receiving there bogus false loan documents with Someone else name on the documents with other information on the person crossed out I was furious. I made numerous back and forward heated calls with this company it was apparent that they had no clear intention on assisting me with my issue. They where only using the opportunity to communicate to just collect as much information in conjunction to what the already had to only use it to update there system. My fraud report fell on deaf ears.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was paid
Consumer Complaint: I had a private student loan that was paid and full, the debt was bought by another company and they are stating I owe interest. But the amount was paid in full. Now it has been sold again to Navient and it is a balance on the account that I do not owe. I tried to reach out to the original loan holder and they no longer exist. and when I reached out to Navient they said when I mailed in the pay off amount in the time the check got to the original owner of the loan I incurred interest. which is not possible. They gave me an amount and a pay off date, not the new debt holder but the original owner of my private student loan. this information is incorrect.

Consumer Complaint: I called Navient on XX/XX/XXXX, and I spoke with a rep about the account. I was told that I did not recertify my IDR, but I told the rep that I faxed all of my information months ago before the date that it should have been done, but on the studentaid.gov site, it states that IDRs were not due until XXXX. Even though studentaid.gov had the message on the site, I still sumbitted my information anyway. I submitted my PLSF for my other loans, and I submitted my IDR renewal to be on the safe side because I had felt that it could be an issue, and at this time, it still seems that it became an issue. Unfortunately due to all of these changes and issues with student loans of so many lawsuits and information changing, I called and spoke with a rep ( XXXX ) on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX to inquire about what I saw. I was told by the reps, and they confirmed that I did not have to submit an IDR at this time due to changes, but I advised that I did anyway. When I did, they said that it probably would not be processed due to I did not have to do one because of the extension and the changes with student loans, so I was like ok and thought everything was fine. Now to fast forward, when I spoke with someone from Navient, I was told that I was behind 2 weeks in payment because I did not submit an IDR even though I know that I did. She did say that she believed that I did submit them based upon all the same information that I am providing here, but my issue is the miscommunication of all of these changes of the handling of loans from lender to lender. She said that if I did, that my application may have not been transferred over when the systems change which frustrated me due to I felt that this was not my fault. I told her that I would resubmit it, and she did offer to put me in a forbearance to allow me time to get the documents to Navient again and to allow them time to process it. She mentioned about the consolidations which I did tell her that I did consolidate a few of my loans, but not all of them due to the uncertainty of the changes with student loans. I didn't trust what has been going on so far, so I consolidated a few to see how things would turn out. She mentioned maybe consolidating my other loans, and I told her no due to the time frame had passed, and it would start all of my counts back over. She paused for a moment, and then agreed with what I said. For me these are the things of the miscommunication and incorrect information that can be provided to us as current or prior students that keeps us in this type of debt forever because of the neverending cycle of information that is given to us from the supposedly experts. Now, at this point, I am in a temporary forbearance due to Navient said that I owed {$670.00} because I did not renew my IDR when I know that I submitted it. I wlll submit it again, but I want this documented of the issues that I have had with Navient. I have had to place a prior claim of issue with them due to a lack of communication on their part still regarding payments and processing.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX my Navient Private loan interest rate was loan ID XXXX 4.25 % and loan ID XXXX 3.75 %, this has been the same fixed rate since XX/XX/XXXX Starting XX/XX/XXXX interest raised from loan ID XXXX to 4.0 % XX/XX/XXXX interest raised loan ID XXXX 4.5 % XX/XX/XXXX interest raised loan ID XXXX 5.00 % and loan ID XXXX 5.25 % XX/XX/XXXX interest raised loan ID XXXX 6.00 % XX/XX/XXXX interest loan ID XXXX 6.5 % and loan ID XXXX 6.75 % Not only is Navient increasing my interest rate but is also capitalizing my interest each month and including it on my principal balance. This will effect my ability to even claim interest on taxes! Today XX/XX/XXXX I went to check the auto pay status of my loan and saw Navient without consent or even informing the me the customer has been slowly increasing my monthly interest rate. Today I called and spoke to Customer Advocacy to address this unfair practice. The service team blamed the government for changing the interest rates and told me they could change the rate to whatever they wanted. I was told there is no way to change my interest rate back unless I am in poverty. Customer Advocacy was NOT able to help or even try to change my rates back to the rate they have been at for 16 years. I need the CFPB to take immediate action as this is unfair practice effecting millions of student loan borrowers trying to pay off their debt. This is predatory lending!

Consumer Complaint: For the past XXXX years since I consolidated my loans with Navient, I have been paying {$520.00} a month with an agreed maturation date of XXXX/XXXXXXXX. I recently went back to school, which I am paying for out of pocket. I did not apply for loans. Without calling or emailing, Navient deferred my loans. I called within XXXX hours to inform them I did not want to defer my loans request they revert to the previous payment plan with and end date of XXXX/XXXX/XXXX The next month I was charged {$510.00} and I received an email from them saying they've changed my payments to {$500.00} a month with a maturation date of XXXXXXXX I never asked for this. They are unwilling to understand or help me online. They are using the same tactics they used when I first graduated school and convinced me to take a forbearance so I am now paying more than double my loan amount. I would greatly appreciate your help in getting my account back to the agreement we had. I would also like to be part of a lawsuit against Navient as they entirely look advantage of me as a student when I borrowed $ XXXX I am repaying over a {$100000.00}. My interest at this point is more than 50 % of my remaining loan.
