Consumer Complaint: My initial Mortgage was with XXXX and was late passed over to Nationstar mortgage. Without my input or any sort of options. Since my Mortgage has been in the hands of Nationstar Mortgage, I have made several inquiries to the company. ( 1 ) I requested a review of my account, because I felt that all over payments that I had made, over the years. Was not being applied to Principle as intended and requested. They took several months to respond. Only because I persisted, in my request. I did not get a satisfactory response. ( 2 ) Nationstar discontinued sending me monthly statements, even after I notified them, that I had not elected paperless statements. Today, I have not received a monthly statement in over 6 months. I would like an investigation into this account. Possible transfer to another company.

Consumer Complaint: I have been disputing a debt Nationstar Mortgage , LLC has been trying to collect since XXXX XXXX, XXXX. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, Nationstar responded to a CFPB complaint declaring they were the servicer for Bank XXXX and the account was XXXX payments delinquent. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, Nationstar 's counsel sent me a letter advising they were rescinding the acceleration of the debt. This contraverts the response on XXXX XXXX, XXXX indicating the loan was XXXX payments delinquent. Nationstar never purported to accelerate the alleged debt. There has been no activity on this account since the alleged transferred. I have never made any payments or executed any loan agreements with Nationstar. In conclusion, On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX days after the alleged Rescission, Nationstar responded to the XXXX credit dispute indicating the account and past due balances of the account were {$0.00}. Nationstar has consistently given conflicting information referencing the alleged debt. It appears they have n't done any due diligence to investigate this account ; after I 've vehemently disputed it. PLEASE HELP ... ... ..

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of this year I started to receive letters from the mortgage company stating that I was in default on my loan and the terms of the re modification agreement ( Which I can add the scans to this later ). I contacted them to find out how the funds that they had received that I had been sending since XXXX and them placing them in a suspense account were being used because there was a charge of almost a loan payment from the first foreclosure the company tried to initiate ( which my understanding of the HAMP ) they are not supposed to be doing that. So when I noticed it on the bill I contacted them and was informed by an agent of their customer service that the amount I was inquiring about could be paid then or at the end of the loan. So it was not paid because I informed him I would rather it be placed at the end and he stated that was fine. Since XXXX since full payment was not sent on the XXXX even though the contract is supposed to allow me til the XXXX to pay before it is late, these funds were placed in the suspense account. Well in XXXX I started receiving mail stating that I had until XXXX to make a payment of around {$1700.00} or they would start foreclosure proceedings I have contacted them several times via email and have read receipts requesting a break down because the money that to total was placed in the suspense account by them should have at least covered until XXXX given my math, not XXXX like they claim. But they refuse to send any communication through email even though I have authorized them to and they refuse to send the requested information, even though they will send " Service Members Assistance letters '', threat letters to cure the debt, bill statements, suspense account letters, etc. And the reason I ask for the breakdown is because even on their site it does not show the breakdown or what is/was in the suspense account or even have a way for you to see the suspense account. Now they send another letter yesterday contradicting the first stating that I have until XXXX/XXXX/2016 to pay the XXXX they claim I owe or they will proceed with the foreclosure. This company was made well aware before the new modification was made that I no longer received the Social Security Income I did when I took out the original mortgage which is why the due date was for the XXXX of the month with 15 day grace period, but ignored that and any attempt I try to inform them of what is going on. Their modifications are based on income but not things that affect income such as government debt you have to pay back etc. This is a predatory lender and something needs to be done against them before I or hundreds of others lose their home because of this companies illegal HAMP actions, lack of record keeping, lack of providing customers necessary information, etc.

Consumer Complaint: Timeline of Events XX/XX/XXXX we met with XXXX XXXX of XXXX XXXX, and we began obtaining approval for constructing a home and buying a lot. We chose a modest split-level style in a modest suburb ( XXXX, MN ). When reviewing the construction loan, I noticed the high 7.125 % interest rate and I was assured that a high construction rate is normal, because the homeowners add a few upgrades and then refinance into a lower rate after the home is constructed. I clearly state that I would not be able to afford this home if the rate stayed at 7.125 %. I believed this was the procedure, because I had never constructed a home in my life. The home was completed XX/XX/XXXX with upgrades. When I was asked to sign the final paperwork, that 's when I was informed that my newly constructed home was not worth what I just paid for it, and because of that fact, regardless of the upgrades, I was not going to be able to refinance and get a lower rate. I again said, that I can not afford the high interest rate of 7.125 %. I was told that I was responsible for this debt and the bank would take action against me and foreclose. We had given up our apartment, my boyfriend ( at the time ), our daughter, and I had nowhere to live. I had poured all my money into this home. I did n't even have money to rent a place at this point. We decided to try and make the large payments. I believe it was around {$2000.00} per month. My boyfriend was in mortgages at the time, so he was promptly laid off and looking for work during this time, so we were living on my teaching salary. XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX We began to get behind on my bills, I also owned a second home that I was renting out at the time. The address was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MN XXXX. I was trying to negotiate with XXXX, so I could work with them on payments, because I was n't able to sell this house yet, and I was worried that we might end up having to live back at this house. We sold my boyfriend 's boat and borrowed money from family. I could n't see a way out of all this debt. XXXX abruptly told me that they were seizing the house and that I had to get everything an everyone out of the house. I believe I had a month 's notice. This did n't seem right to me, but at the time I was overwhelmed an upset. ( Years later I would receive XXXX settlement checks for about {$600.00} and a short letter stating that I was part of a class action lawsuit against XXXX because they were illegally foreclosing on homeowners. I lost thousands of dollars not being able to keep or sell that home. I knew what they were doing was wrong, but I did n't have the time, energy, or money to fight them. ) While they were seizing the home, I was considering filing for a chapter XXXX bankruptcy, because of all my debts. XXXX XXXX my bankruptcy was complete. Everything but my truck financed by XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX student loans were included in the bankruptcy. At the time, I included both homes because I thought I had already lost the home in XXXX MN, and I could n't afford the home in XXXX, MN. My relationship with my boyfriend was over, so he was not contributing financially to the household at all. I continued living in the home and at this time home loan modifications were starting to be done. I inquired about a modification with XXXX XXXX, but I was not able to get in touch with anyone and get a straight answer from anyone. I finally hired an attorney ( XXXX XXXX from XXXX, MN ) to help me contact the bank and after the bankruptcy I stopped making the mortgage payments. This back and forth communication went on until XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX finally said they would modify the debt for 5 years. The interest rate would start out at 3 %, then move to 5 %, and end up back at 7.125 %. XXXX XXXX also added on late fees, appraisal fees, their attorney 's fees due to the forecl

Consumer Complaint: We had a water damage to our house in XXXX 2015. It has been a nightmare ever since to deal with Nationstar Mortgage. This is our 3rd complaint for the same claim. Nationstar told us after we complete final inspection, they will release the final check within 3 business days.We completed XXXX inspection, all repairs are done. We have report from inspector. I called them today and XXXX ( employee # XXXX ) told that they want a clean air test. They did not even look through the paper work. The air clearance test was done after mold remediation back in XXXX. Here it comes again, hours on the phone with Nation Star Mortgage, going in circles. Nation Star has a horrible practice of misplacing and mishandling documents.

Consumer Complaint: We had a loan with Nationstar Mortgage LLC and always made our payment in advance of the actual due date. We refinanced our loan recently and when they sent the demand to the title/escrow company it appeared to be off by one months payment. In order to not lose our lock we went forward with the refinance and decided to dispute this after the fact. We have made numerous calls to Nationstar and each time we are forced to talk to a new person and explain the situation all over again. What we have asked for repeatedly, and Nationstar said they would send, is a complete accounting of all the payments we made over the course of the loan. We believe that they did not give us credit for the XXXX/XXXX/15 payment and therefore owe us a refund. To date we have not received any kind of an accounting from them and are frustrated as we 've called at XXXX XXXX times regarding this. We want a complete accounting of all our payments made to them on our loan. The loan number with Nationstar is XXXX. If you could please help us with this it would be greatly appreciated.

Consumer Complaint: I worked in the mortgage industry for over 20 years. In XXXX I purchased our home doing a XXXX with XXXX of XXXX, at XXXX Interest only, and a XXXX and XXXX for XXXX XXXX. Like everyone else I thought everything was going to be great. In XXXX the industry as you know took a great hit. Our value in 3 years dropped from XXXX to XXXX. I was underwater. I worked for over 2 years trying to get my Modification with XXXX. Always the same excuses and threats. They would lose paperwork and force me to start all over again. This was very distressing for me and my family. I spent countless nights XXXX. I then filed BK in XXXX XXXX. One morning I decided to give up. I contacted the bank and offer to do a deed in lieu with them. Two weeks into the process, the bank asked me to once again apply for the Mod. I did so without adding or taking away any information from my Modification application. A few weeks later I was approved. Very grateful, we agreed to the mod. My XXXX and XXXX forgave the debt I owed them and re-conveyed their deed. The BK protected me from any of their write offs. My balance with the bank was XXXX before the mod, but now is over XXXX. There was principal forbearance that added as a balloon payment in the amount of right around XXXX. My interest bearing XXXX was reduced to XXXX, but at the end of the day there was no real principal reduction. Sure the XXXX and XXXX was removed, but I still have a ton to pay. Once the modification trial was complete, they transferred the loan to Nationstar. I am grateful to XXXX for giving us the help we needed to stay in our home, I would only ask that they forgive the amount that was on the forbearance.

Consumer Complaint: During the course of my mortgage, there have been several occasions where I have fallen behind on my payments. Each of these times, the mortgage company offers to assist with the problem BUT they have repeatedly tacked on charges in the amount of {$5000.00} or more saying it is legal fees incurred by them for starting the foreclosure process? My mortgage has gone from the original {$90000.00} up to around {$150000.00}. How can they do this? I have been amiss in doing anything about this because I have felt like I was at their mercy and because I HAD TO HAVE a home to live in. Can you help in any way?

Consumer Complaint: This home was purchased in 2005 before mortgage regulations were changed for predatory mortgage practices. This mortgage was and is a " predator '' mortgage. I have had XXXX different mortgages in the past 15 years. All of the mortgage companies ( with the exception of NationStar Mtg. ) helped me to re-fi my " interest only '' loans into regular conventional loans when the market crashed. All of the other Mortgage Companies knew those mortgage terms were under great scrutiny by the Federal Government and they knew the terms of those old mortgages were not fair and were not conducive to long term success with the people that unwittingly signed up for them. I was one of those people. All of my other mortgages were successfully kept current until the terms of those mortgages were sold and/or paid off. The only mortgage that was not re-financed was this one. I have been trying for years ( literally ) to get this mortgage re-financed into terms that would be successful for the long term benefit of all parties. Unfortunately, NationStar Mortgage was not willing to change the terms of this loan. I have contacted NationStar, over and over, for years now, trying to re-finance this loan as I knew that it was destined to eventually become unmanageable. That day has come. This mortgage was no longer a viable option for me to keep this property. I entered NationStar 's DIL program so that I could successfully return the home to the lender. I was told that the tenants that were in place could stay throughout the process, since they were paying the majority of the payment. Then, I get a call one night from my DIL agent telling me that the house needed to be vacant IMMEDIATELY in order to continue in the program. I informed the tenants that they needed to leave. These were XXXX XXXX renters and were being subsidized by the State of Virginia. The tenants called their case worker and told her what was going on. The next day I got a call from their case worker telling me that I will be sued to the fullest extent of the law, along with the mortgage company ( NationStar ) for breach of contract. She said that I was required to give the tenants a 60 day notice, which I gave them that day. In the mean time, they were looking for and found a home to move to. They had signed a lease with their new Landlord and were in the process of moving when I received a letter in the mail from NationStar, stating that I had been " failed '' from the DIL program. I was devastated knowing that I had no possibility of making a nearly {$2000.00} a month payment on my own. I was also not able to find a new tenant since I live XXXX miles away from this property. I called my attorney and we decided that the best course of action was NOT to force foreclosure on the bank. We would just sign the property back over. My fight was all gone and I knew it was all over. I saw the inevitable outcome of trying to keep the home was not going to work. I am not going to continue throwing away money and losing sleep over this anymore. My Parents taught me growing up that if I could not afford something, I could n't own it. I can no longer afford this mortgage or this home, so I have signed it back over to NationStar as a last resort. It greatly pains me that this has happened. I wanted to keep this loan and home and eventually sell it like I did with my other homes, but time ran out. At this point, the mortgage is unsustainable for me. I respectfully ask that they accept my actions and take the home back and release the lien against it. I have nothing left to give other than the collateral ( the home ) for which the loan was based. I have lost over XXXX including a nearly XXXX down payment and have paid over XXXX in Mortgage Insurance since 2005. NationStar and its " investors '' have made a ton of money on this home. The only loser is me. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!
