Consumer Complaint: National Credit Systems has been calling me at work and harassing me. They claim they can not call my cell phone number - which no one else seems to be having this problem. A woman named XXXX XXXX called me at the beginning of XX/XX/XXXX stating that I owed my former apartment complex {$700.00} because I terminated my lease early. Fair enough. It is a debt that I owe. I made a payment to them the following Friday. XXXX XXXX asked that they set up an automatic withdraw from my checking account. I told her that I was not comfortable with this and that I would just send them a monthly payment of {$100.00} until the debt is paid. She said that would be fine. Well today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) XXXX XXXX calls me back ( at work again! ) and tells me that my account will still be reported on my credit because I elected not to have the money automatically debited from my account. I told her AGAIN that I 'm not comfortable with that and that last month it was n't a problem and now suddenly it is? I said " So you 're telling me that even though I am making payments, you 're still going to report this on my credit just because I do n't want to give you my checking account information? '' She said " That 's not what I 'm saying. You 're putting words in my mouth. '' So I said " That is exactly what you just said. '' She continued arguing with me stating that is n't the only reason. I asked what the other reason is and she told me that this had been discussed with me prior. I said " No, you told me last month it was fine for me to make payments on my own. '' Then she just told me that this was their policy. I do n't think it 's right for them to still report this on my credit when I am making monthly payments just because I do n't want to hand over my checking account information so they can do an automatic debit. The only thing they should be concerned about is whether or not I 'm sending in payments NOT that they have access to my checking account. This company seems fraudulent to me. I have another pending payment going out to them tomorrow. I wish I could stop the payment but it is already in process. I just do n't see how this is even legal and I really do n't think they should be allowed to call me and harass me at work!

Consumer Complaint: Debt was first published in XX/XX/XXXX. Found out in XX/XX/XXXX because almost lost my clearance at work. Talked with representative in XX/XX/XXXX about why I did n't pay debt because apartment was mold infested and I have the pictures to prove it and was debating on weather I was gon na to sue. The rep stated he wanted to see them and he would send me the material to send them in. I never heard from him again and the debt was taken off my report. So I decided to forget it. Now it is back on my credit report again four years later, with no prior written notice. When I called National credit Systems, I was told it probably just fell thru the cracks.

Consumer Complaint: The item was discharged in Bankruptcy Court in 2012. Now National Credit System is attempting to collect on a discharged account by a Federal Bankruptcy Court Judge. I submitted proof of Bankruptcy Discharged for the item to XXXX and it was removed. Now it is back as a Collection, which is illegal and a fraud. I will complain to the FTC and sue National Credit System for Fraud, Deceit, and Identity Theft. I will also submit a complaint to the California Attorney General for Fraud, Deceit, and Identity Theft. National Credit System- REMOVE THE FRAUDULENT COLLECTION ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET SUED/FINED for violating FDCPA and FCRA. National Credit System never sent me any proof of documentation for the alleged item, falsely claiming on a discharged item, and the item has never been properly verified. Section 609.

Consumer Complaint: I contacted CFPB regarding National Credit and XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding an apartment I rented and because of that complaint, the company has stated on my credit report that I made a payment. This is totally untrue, I have not made a payment as I do not believe I owe them at all. They have 2 accounts on my report, in the amounts of {$3400.00} and {$1000.00}. National Credit continues to make false statements on my report. When is it okay for them to report false information on credit reports?

Consumer Complaint: National Credit Systems is continuing to report on my credit for a debt I do not owe and the debt is past the statute of limitations in GA. They are also updating the DLA - Date of Last Activity - erroneously. That date should not update unless the consumer made a payment and I have never made toward this debt. I have been disputing this for some time with no response. I do not owe what they say I owe and the debt is past the statute. Someone needs to do something about them updating inaccurately and just ignoring disputes.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, XXXX we broke our lease with XXXX XXXX. We paid in full according to the lease agreement and apartment mananger : XXXX XXXX, {$2100.00}. We have a copy of the check and the managers signature confirming lease was paid in full and we turned in the keys. The apartment complex is : XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, FL XXXX In XXXX XXXX we start getting collection calls from National Credit Systems, XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX we owed XXXX XXXX XXXX {$500.00} for unpaid rent in XXXX. We told him we paid lease in full and that manager confirmed by signing receipt and copy of our check. He warned we will have negative credit reporting unless we paid or sent him proof we do n't owe it. I confirmed he had same information we have showing lease agreement and copy of check. Before this, we have received nothing in writing from the apartment complex or his agency and have been repeatedly getting collection calls all hours of the day even at work. XXXX # is XXXX. We paid this in full and have proof and so does the apartment complex, we are baffled as to why they are pursuing unlawfully damaging our credit when we have copy of early termination lease agreement and copy of check with managers signature and her card stapled to it that she gave us the day we paid her and turned in the keys.
