Consumer Complaint: I went into a forbearance around COVID time Because I lost my job and I also take care of my handicapped husband After I came out of the forbearance we went into a bankruptcy which was Discharged XX/XX/XXXX Before I went into bankruptcy the mortgage company was trying to Sue me for issues with my property address which had nothing to do with anything that we did it was all the county had changed the property address and the mortgage company didn't have that change in their files and so they sued me, and in the process found another lady that still had a lean on the property so they sued everybody to try and get the lean off the property of which they've already done and I agreed with everything that they wanted to do all they had to do was ask but instead the sued me. Then my Bankruptcy attorney Wrote M & T mortgages Attorney a letter and said you can't do this she's in bankruptcy you can't expect her to pay for fees for any of this lawsuit. Now fast forward after I got out of the forbearance they put me into a program where they take the existing amount of money that you owe and put it on the back end of the loan In a Balloon payment and hold it in an account that's non-interest bearing until the loan is paid and then at the end of the loan you have to pay the existing money. they said I qualified for this program and they put me into this program. I started paying my payments again And they sent me the paperwork that I needed to have notarized and send back I went to the UPS store I paid to get it notarized and I sent it back to them. Then they said that the paperwork that they sent me was wrong because they needed my husband 's power of attorney paperwork I sent it to them probably 4 Or 5 times Every time the paperwork was incorrect I have probably Have 8 sets of copies of the paperwork that they've sent me that We're incorrect I finally said to them I can not keep going and paying for the notorization please send me a notary. they sent me a notary for the paperwork and I notarized it I showed her my POA documents she took them and again they said that the paperwork was wrong. In the meantime they keep saying that I am sending them the wrong documents or I'm not providing them with the right documents when I can't provide them with the right documents because they keep sending me the wrong documents. This goes on 3 or 4 times they enroll me and disenroll me in the program because they say I am not cooperating with them when the whole time I can't give them something that I don't have. Then in XXXX this year of XXXX they told me I was disenrolled from the program again because I needed to have My husband 's power of attorney documents recorded at the county And they said because I did not do this that I was disenrolled from the program again. nobody ever told me that I had to have them recorded at the county so I went down in the middle of a snowstorm to try and record documents at the county and they closed the county building because the storm was so bad. I went back on XX/XX/XXXX a week later and recorded the document and when I was there the lady told me that I wasn't going to get the document back for 7 to 10 days Because they have to keep it to record it and then they will send the originals back to me in the mail so because of that and because I was so upset I asked her if I could take pictures just so I could send them to the bank. I sent the pictures of the recorded document and the same POA that I have sent them numerous times. I was told by them I could send them pictures so I did, and then they kept saying we cant take pictures we need a PDF copy. And I said I only sent those to you temporary until I could get you a PDF copy but now that's all they can see is those photos even though I have sent them pdf copies clear back in XX/XX/XXXX OF the Same POA. I spoke with a gentleman on XX/XX/XXXX this Last month and Told him to go back and look in his files at the POA that was sent to him in a PDF on XX/XX/XXXX he put me on hold to go talk to his supervisor because he said the POA documents were not all there But I opened up the email and told him there are only 3 pages to the power of attorney they are all there they're just in the wrong order. These were the same POA documents that they said before that they didn't have all the pages when they've had all the pages the whole time from the very first time I sent them to him the POA has never changed.Then I found out later that he didn't even bother to tell me that I was unenrolled in the program again and that my house is now being sold in foreclosure on XX/XX/XXXX I didn't find this out till I called back and spoke to not a very nice lady who screamed at me and told me this on the phone. I have been trying to get this cleared up now for probably over a year they have had PDF copies of the orginal POA for over a year and every single time I send them What they Ask for they change it and want something different. I speak with these people on the phone at least 3 times a week. I have given them everything they asked for I have paid my mortgage payments. Every time I speak with somebody it's different story every time. Last week the lady I spoke with told me that until they approve me for the program again that my foreclosure will be stopped, then 2 days later I was told that was incorrect. So now they are immediately sending me to foreclosure and Sale XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX

Who was not my fathers child, and was not a care giver. and after his death used his atm card spending his military pension in the total amount of {$5200.00}. I am his ( XXXX XXXX XXXX his legal daughter incharge of his estate. I Contacted the M & T Bank there between XXXX. They requested a police report for a fraud case. Reported XX/XX/22. It has been almost a year and I still havent received a satisfactory response.

Consumer Complaint: This is my 4th attempt at trying to get this company to remove information that does not belong on my credit report. Per USC 15 6802. ( A ) such financial institution clearly and conspicuously discloses to the consumer, in writing or in electronic form or other form permitted by the regulations prescribed under section 6804 of this title, that such information may be disclosed to such third party ; ( B ) the consumer is given the opportunity, before the time that such information is initially disclosed, to direct that such information not be disclosed to such third party ; and ( C ) the consumer is given an explanation of how the consumer can exercise that nondisclosure option. Also this item was charged off with 1099-C which means it is a certificate of indebtedness and has been claimed as income. It is against the law to be reporting on my credit report with a balance or at all anymore. Also consider the privacy act of 1974.

Consumer Complaint: M & T Bank has refused to close my M & T Tailored Business Checking despite multiple attempts. Per their website ( attached ), " non-interest bearing business accounts with a XXXX balance can be closed by calling the M & T Contact Center at XXXX, or by submitting a request through Online Banking. '' On XX/XX/23, I called the M & T Contact Center at XXXX to close my M & T Tailored Business Checking that has a {$0.00} balance. I was told by both a CSR and supervisor that they could not close business accounts via phone, and I would have to close in a branch or by mailing a letter to my local branch since I am out of town. On XX/XX/23, I also sent a secure message through Online Banking attempting to close my account, but was told " you spoke with an Telephone Banking Center representative about your concerns '' and was referred back to the M & T Telephone Banking Center. On XX/XX/23, I mailed a letter asking to close my account to the local branch the M & T Contact Center told me to send it to. On XX/XX/23, I called the local branch to confirm my account was closed and they told me they were unable to close the account from a letter and I would have to come into the branch to close it and there was nothing they could do while I'm unable to visit a branch.

Thus, The Credit Bureaus have failed to uphold their duty of the Fair Reporting Act. I have been a customer at XXXX XXXX for many years and was never informed about their mixing of business and personal bank accounts and allowed to lock both accounts. I wish to know how this happened and how it is going to be handled moving forward. XXXX XXXX had failed to inform me about a charge off about to happen which hurt my credit and must be notified before that action takes place. M & T Bank in XXXX XXXX DE, has not used operating agreement to pull two credit scores and never submitted our XXXX. A previous Bank Branch Manager at the XXXX XXXX, DE, Lied about the process hindering our growth. True access capital in XXXX, DE had wasted three month of our valuable time and we had stopped growth because of this. There non transparency had made the business shift gears in the wrong direction They miss more documents that are paid up and are losing grip of growing and sacrificing personal credit for the business. We are afraid of the banks breaking rules and taking funds illegally. If I can remain anonymous as to who made the inquiry to protect my business especially XXXX XXXX, much appreciated. Consumer Complaint: My checking account at M & T Bank had unauthorized transactions on XX/XX/2023. The bank notified me of suspicious activity on that day and I immediately contacted the branch to dispute the charges and cancel the card that presumably caused the hack. The total unauthorized charges were {$150.00}. On XX/XX/2023, {$35.00} of those charges were refunded by the vendor. On the same day, the bank issued a provisional credit of {$110.00}. At that point, the account was made whole for the unauthorized charges. However, on XX/XX/2023 the bank reversed {$35.00} of the provisional credits, leaving the account short in that amount. I have called the bank and visited the branch several times, most recently today, to attempt to have the credits restored but there has been no explanation or action. I have received no further correspondence from the bank. The 45 day period for resolving the dispute has passed, the provisional credits appear to remain provisional and remain less than the disputed charges with no explanation provided.

Consumer Complaint: M & T Bank is my mortgage servicer. Sadly they did not make the required escrow payment and my insurance coverage lapsed. They did not contact me about this. When I discovered it I tried to pay my hazard insurance premiums directly but it had been too long and the policy was cancelled. M & T put their super expensive forced place insurance on the property with out letting me know. All of the new hazard policies are at least double the cost. If M & T had simply done their job I would have affordable coverage. This costly mistake will force me to pay higher premiums for years to come.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I attempted to close my business checking account with M & T Bank. I emailed the bank my request. Five days later, no one from M & T had bothered to answer my email so I sent the bank a second email stating that, as far as I was concerned, the account was closed. The bank charges a {$50.00} account closure fee, so I withdrew all but {$50.00} from the account. Finally, on XX/XX/XXXX, " XXXX '' replied to my email and informed me that in order to close the account I would have to either write a letter to or visit the branch where I opened the account. Obviously, the bank wants everyone to have to jump through as many hoops as possible in order to close their account, but what she told me was a blatant LIE I read every page of M & T 's Commercial Deposit Account Agreement after I opened the account, and this is what the agreement states regarding closing an account. It is Provision 25 ( d ) of the agreement : " Client must provide Notice to M & T to close an Account. '' That is ALL that it states. On XX/XX/XXXX I replied and notified XXXX that if my account wasn't closed by XXXX I would immediately file formal complaints with the XXXX XXXX Md. Office of Consumer Protection, the CFPB, Md. Attorney General XXXX XXXX XXXX, and the Federal Reserve Board. Early this afternoon, someone from M & T called me and told me that she would have to get permission from the manager at the branch in which I opened the account in order to close it. ANOTHER LIE. Nowhere in the Commercial Deposit Account Agreement does it state that an account can only be closed after receiving approval from a branch manager. I have no idea who manages the branch and have never spoken to him or her. Later today I saw that my account had been closed. I also saw that the bank charged me, and then waived, a {$20.00} " Final Analysis '' charge. I'm glad that it had been waived, because I have M & T 's XX/XX/XXXX Corporate and Institutional Deposit Account Fee Schedule, and nowhere on the schedule is a " Final Analysis Fee '' even listed. Even though my account was closed today, I'm still filing my complaints. At best, M & T is making it more difficult for customers to close their accounts than it should be, but I think it may also be egregiously breaking the law. Therefore, even though the OCC doesn't directly regulate M & T Bank, I'm going to send a copy of my complaint to the OCC as well. XXXX XXXX XXXX
