Consumer Complaint: I ATTEMPTED to do an XXXX XXXX XXXX with a XXXX XXXX XXXX back in XXXX for which they fabricated medical information and committed medical fraud. They stated I had XXXX XXXX and could get XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I simultaneously had my primary XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for which I have the medical records stating that there wasnt any XXXX most likely but possibly there was XXXX and that I was XXXX. In the end I never got the service that I paid {$8000.00} for. This XXXX clinic could not even supply me with medical records that this was attempted or anything which is another violation of medical law. THE MERCHANT OFFERED TO REFUND ME AND NEVER DID. I put this on my M & T bank credit card for which they did refund me the medication amount but the {$8000.00} clinic amount they are not refunding me despite the fact that the merchant stated multiple times that they would give me a refund! I have an email from the merchant stating they would email me dated XX/XX/year> and the bank is refusing to acknowledge that and take the money back. furthermore, this bank is just sending me copies of an agreement of what I would pay for if I actually went through with this XXXX XXXX XXXX attempt. The bank does not have any record that I actually went through with it. I signed the papers on XX/XX/XXXX do you sign papers, start medication and have your XXXX retrieved in the same day? No the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX lasts for 14 days. My XXXX retrieval would have been somewhere between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Where are the records that show that I went through with it and they had a right to keep my money? And furthermore why is it being ignored that the company offered to refund me? They even had me sign a release and still I never got my money. I will include correspondences with that woman, XXXX XXXX, who is their patient relations manager. I signed a release for them and have been asking the whereabouts of my check since then and they never get back to me. They tricked me into signing a release saying I wouldnt sue them. Again MT has a picture of them offering me a refund and doesnt provide any documentation that I went through with XXXX XXXX XXXXe because I didnt, because it was canceled. That is in violation of United States credit laws. If merchant promises a refund, the bank is supposed to take the money back on behalf of the customer, and they are refusing to do so. If this cant be resolved here, Im going to take it to arbitration because you are not providing me with that information which is illegal.

Consumer Complaint: I have a joint account with my wife. We both attend XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. We both received checks from our college, totaling {$6100.00}. They said, the money will be deposited tomorrow morning. My wife woke up in the morning, saw the money in the account, and spent {$920.00} to pay our bills. Then, suddenly, the rest of the money was gone. Its weird since we only spent {$920.00} and yet we were at a negative balance of {$920.00} in our bank accounts. When we called them, they said, we have a legal hold on the money. You should call the fraud prevention department. When we called the fraud department, they werent making any sense ; they were acting like they had no idea what was going on. We called four different numbers and asked when our money was coming because we have a newborn and a toddler to take care of. They all gave us different answers : the XXXX person said XXXX days, the XXXX said XXXX days, and the XXXX person said until Tuesday, which is XXXX days from when we deposited the check. All I want is for them to explain it to us professionally and clearly about whats happening. At least I want them to be honest. My wife and I felt discriminated against since we are both XXXX ; Im XXXX and shes XXXX. I dont want to play the XXXX XXXX ; I dont think Im XXXX, and I dont think everyone is XXXX. But I feel like because of our XXXX and income, they think we will make a fake check and commit fraud, which bothers me. The reason why our income is low is that we are XXXX XXXX and only work part-time. We really depend on the money our college sends us to help us financially. You will never see a check as real as the one we gave them. Our college uses XXXX XXXX XXXX checks, and XXXX is a very large bank ; they should know how to detect a XXXX XXXX XXXX check. Our check name matches our ID name. It has our college address and phone number. The check has all the information provided to prove it is real. There is no need to hold it for too long ; we need the money now. My wife couldnt pick up her car at the mechanic shop because it costs {$3000.00} to fix her SUV. Thankfully, after explaining it to our mechanic, he said he doesnt mind letting us leave our car until we get the money They also locked my wife out of her account, so she couldnt log in. When she called customer service, for some reason, they helped her log back in.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX On or about XXXX I made a deposit at M & T Bank on XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX. the amount of the check was XXXX from my pension plan. Check # XXXX drawn on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. ( disbursement account ) after signing the usual documents ( personal information etc ) This account was deposited to my checking account with M & T Bank. When I got my first statement I was surprised to find my check deposit documented as a cash deposit ( instead of a Check Deposit ) about weeks I contacted the bank and came into see why this occurred. I was told by then branch manager this was not an issue because it is documented as a " trust fund '' .I immediately disagreed and again asked that my documentation of the transaction deposit of these funds be corrected. She refused. Later in the year, I wrote the bank again about my concern, that my account appeared to be a large cash deposit ( which it was-in a check ) It took me several months before I got an answer-sort of. I received a brief note stating M & T Bank could not change transaction but was sending me a copy of the check deposited to them This would not be a CHANGE but a CORRECTION.. Also they claimed I didn't open this account until XXXX, also not true. I asked for documentation ( via letter XXXX ) never got a response. ( there may be a another reason why for that ) At any rate I am in need of honest reporting of my deposits ( other deposit fail to identify the source of my deposit as well. MT has been extremely uncooperative in not granting me something that should have been documented appropriately in the first place. Visited a XXXX XXXX -- XXXX XXXX, because I had l misplaced my ATM card- I mentioned my issue about the inappropriate documentation at that time ( at another branch ) and she was of no assistance either. Telephone contacts have been cordial and response to my online inquiries have been the same. I need for M & T to make me understand why my deposit is documented the way it is. There are accountable issues that may require professional accounting and I am not able to access my account. now!!!

Consumer Complaint: I over pay my RV loan every month. It is not much, but they are not crediting my account properly. At least I don't think so. Then after months I see the payment amount due drop down and I still pay the {$1000.00} every month, there is no extra principal applied, but they sure take the interest freely. I feel like I am getting XXXX and I don't like it. My loan is over $ XXXX and I want to get it down asap, but MT Bank does not seem to be helping. I did reach out and they told me they can apply it however they see fit. I have the message exchange regarding that information. I just need to make sure this bank is acting in good faith and taking care of me in the proper way.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I received a debit card in the mail to my home address that said it was linked to a checking account at M & T Bank. I immediately called M & T bank to speak with a representative as I never opened nor did I ever have any banking/checking accounts or debit cards with M & T Bank . I advised the representative on the phone, that I suspect fraud is involved and someone has used my personal information to open this account. I asked what date the account was opened and the phone agent would not share the information with me. I then advised the agent I need this account closed immediately as I never opened it to begin with. Agent confirmed the account will be closed and I will receive a form in the mail in a few days to fill out and return advising of the fraud. **Fast forward a couple of weeks later this month of XXXX, I receive another Debit card from M & T Bank in the mail to my home address ( 2nd Debit Card at a bank I have NEVER Banked with ). This is the same banking institution I have never opened any account with. I called again to speak with a representative who tells me over the phone the checking account has been closed but he doesn't know why I'm still receiving debit cards. **What 's most alarming is I have ran all three of my Credit Reports and NOTHING For M & T Bank appears on any of my reports ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX. This leads me to believe someone at the bank is using illegal practices to open checking accounts. I also have never received the " Report Fraud '' letter from M & T Bank as initially advised by representative # 1 over the phone.

Consumer Complaint: I paid a projected escrow shortage to my mortgage company in XXXX of XXXX electronically. ( XXXX. ) When I received my XX/XX/XXXX statement it showed they had charged me an additional {$66.00} for the projected escrow shortage. I contacted their customer service both by e-mail and phone. I explained that the escrow payment had been made in XXXX so they shouldn't charge me monthly for a fee I've already paid. I also noted that I indicated that I paid an extra {$600.00} per month to be applied to the principle on every payment coupon for the past year or so. They ( M & T ) deducted the extra escrow payment that wasn't needed out of this {$600.00}. I explained to them that I didn't think they could or should arbitrarily move money from one payment type to another without my permission. This is what has me concerned. I was able to get the payment corrected but, I shouldn't have to double check what the Mortgage company does every month with my payments. I did ask for a copy of the XXXX payment coupon as it shows how I intended the money to be applied written on it. I received a copy of my check with the comments that I hadn't indicated on my check how to apply the funds. This makes me more concerned as every month a payment coupon is mailed to me to make such notations on. I have referred my concerns to the Idaho State Department of Finance. They sent it to New York and they have sent me to you folks.
