Consumer Complaint: Dear Sir/Madam : Loan # XXXX I am asking for your assistance with resolving multiple issues with M & T Bank. The attached letter to M & T bank lists the issues that remain unresolved despite several attempts to resolve them with M & T bank and XXXX Mortgage services who is the mortgage service company. The loan defaulted and foreclosure proceedings was stopped when a modification agreement was offered by XXXX and was accepted and successfully completed. Now M & T Bank is not honoring the modification agreement monthly payment amount. M & T has suddenly increased the monthly payments from {$3100.00} to {$5200.00}. Also, I believe that M & T bank is not deducting the legal and other fees discharged in my bankruptcy discharge obtained on XX/XX/2015. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated in resolving these issues with M & T Bank and hence saving my home.

Consumer Complaint: Today, XX/XX/2016. I visit the M and T bank in XXXX, XXXX MD often. There is only XXXX tellers working and sometimes XXXX which cause the. I went in there one time it was a teller working the drive thru and window. The line was extremely long today and there were only XXXX tellers working. XXXX teller was working the drive thru and the window. The lady behind the glass said it is the first of the month, that is more reason they should have more than XXXX teller at the window. I understand that it is the XXXX of the month, but I have gone to this bank at other times and it only XXXX teller working the window and the other at the window. It is frustrating and others complain as well. I am considering doing my banking at a different bank. This particular bank happens to be closer to my job. For better customer service it is worth it. I am writing for those XXXX people, and working people that my not have a choice but to use this bank. I hope something can be done soon. I hear this particular bank is always like this. I told the bank manager, I assume that 's who she was, that this is not right. Then she began waiting on customers. I hope this helps and hopefully M and T bank will employ more tellers.

Consumer Complaint: I have outstanding debt on my car loan with M & T Bank. I have been called XXXX times in the last XXXX days about this. I have explained my situation several times to them and they have even told me they have posted it in my notes. I have told them the earliest I could make a payment was XX/XX/XXXX. They have called me XXXX other times to try to get payments. I told them they could post date a payment for XX/XX/XXXX and they told me they ca n't post date it that far in advance. They can only post date it to the XX/XX/XXXX. This is a form of harassment and I want legal action to be taken against M & T Bank. I am unable to refinance the loan because the bank has told me I would have to be present with my father to do that. I live over a XXXX miles away from my father and am unable to travel back home for that. My credit has taken a severe hit because of this loan. I tried having my personal bank take over the loan and due to my credit it would have been too risky as they say to buy out the loan and refinance it. I am losing sleep over this.

Consumer Complaint: Hello I have a M & T checking account that is set up for direct deposit for child support, when the first deposit came into my account it took 1 day to be deposited into my account, now my bank is taken 3 business days instead of instant deposit, at first it was the next day, then it was the second day, now for the the second time it 's 3 business days, for instance my children 's child support said XX/XX/XXXX and now it 's XX/XX/XXXX, and no child support deposit and the ignorant thing is my bank wants to blame child support, and child support is saying it 's my bank who 's not depositing it. Who is holding my children 's money and why? It 's not any one 's money to make money off my children 's money, in less they 're going to give us a percentage of what they 're making on my babies money over the years. I 'm XXXX

Consumer Complaint: This is ridiculous and unacceptable. My card got STOLEN, and XXXX & TXXXX Bank made no attempt what 's so ever to contact me through phone, or direct message to my mt bank account. This is crazy I ca n't trust a bank to help me, when indeed my card got stolen and funds taken out!! Of course the transactions were processed correctly, because the money came out the atm, but not into my hands!! I am complaining about my money being stolen, and I need my money back asap!! I work too hard, and with my dad just passing away all this is crazy! I will need resolve to this problem soon, because I will seek further means to get my money back. This is bad business, and banks practices in not helping their customers new or old!! I will contact the consumer financial beraeu, and keep going from there to get my resolve. I am here waiting and thinking the bank is helping me, and instead you do n't notify me until I called or messaged you guys. SICK! YOU WILL HEAR FROM ME EVERYDAY, until this fixed. They said they sent a letter the XXXX that I never got! They did n't call or anything for additional info, they say 10 days to issue a credit, but do their process in 3 days dending your claim. How is that right. I dint have a police report, because the kid who stole my money got fired on the spit for stealing. They have all these terms that as a customer you have XXXX liability for fraudulent charges, yet nothing is done to help me. At that they keep charging my account fees! How is this right in any way?! I will pursue them everyday until I get my stolen money back.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX XXXX, I left my job to start a business. Daycare expenses were out of control with both my wife and I working, so I figured running a business from home would allow us to save on daycare expenses and that my income would be easily replaced by the business income. We took out a couple loans to finance us while I got the business off the ground. Problem : despite my best efforts, the business completely failed. I literally made NO money off of it. I only had ONE customer in 9 months of being in business and he never even paid me. We ran out of savings by XXXX XXXX and my wife 's income was not enough to make mortgage payments by herself, so we fell behind. As soon as we started to fall behind, I was proactive and called M & T Bank ( the lender on our mortgage ). They sent me " foreclosure prevention '' paperwork to fill out and send back to them, which included forms to fill out and send back with a hardship letter and proof of our situation, etc. They did n't mention forbearance as an option on the phone, but I knew that it was because I have an FHA mortgage and all it takes is a quick XXXX search to find out what your options are. So, because I was essentially unemployed ( self-employed with no income is basically the same as being unemployed, right? ), I applied for a forbearance. I specifically said in the letter that my application was for a forbearance, but to let me know if/why that option is n't available and to let me know what options ARE available. This request was COMPLETELY ignored. Without telling me why, they put my application in for a loan modification instead ( which is NOT what I requested ) and then denied it based on the lack of income. Of course there was n't enough income! That 's why I was applying for a forbearance, NOT a loan modification! I was annoyed, but planned to get my mortgage caught up anyway. I got a job in XXXX XXXX where I was able to work from home until XXXX, when we would have to relocate. This job paid as much as my wife and I were making combined prior to my unemployment AND we rented out the house when we relocated, so we had rental income on top of the income from my job and could start getting caught up on our mortgage. We were 3 months behind at this point. I sent in a payment for XXXX of our past due payments and a little extra. M & T sent it right back to me. I called them and they said that they wo n't accept any payments unless I send in XXXX payments at a time. Now, keep in mind that with my increased income from my new job and rental income, we also have to pay rent for where we 're staying, so we could n't afford to send in XXXX payments at XXXX time. I could pay extra each month until the loan was caught up -- that 's what I planned to do -- I just could n't do 100 % extra. I told this to the representative on the phone and he said they ca n't let me do that, that they 'll continue to just send payments back to me unless I send them XXXX at XXXX time. Now, I 'm several more months behind and my loan has been forwarded to a foreclosure attorney. I 've been trying to find a way to work up the funds to bring the loan current, but have had no luck so far, and now I find out that they have disclosed the status of our loan to the tenants living in our house. I understand that as landlords, we 're legally required to inform our tenants if the home is about to be foreclosed on, but there is no date set yet and we still have time to either get the loan reinstated or get the loan modified, so it seems that the status of our loan may have been unnecessarily disclosed to an unauthorized 3rd party. That makes XXXX strikes in a seemingly predatory scheme by our mortgage lender. The people on the phone have always been nice and respectful, but it seems like the company they work for is eager to foreclose on our home. We 're going to send in another application for a loan modification and hope for the best.
