Consumer Complaint: For two months now I have not been unable to access my M & T bank accounts online. I rely on online banking to pay my bills. I have made XXXX separate phone calls over the past two months regarding this issue. Every phone call they tried to reset my account and nothing worked. I still get a message after I log in that says, " online banking is temporarily unavailable. We are working to resolve the service as soon as possible ''. No one has been able to help me and each time I have called I was told that they have to put my name on a list and a supervisor will get back to me the next day. That never happened! I have now been delinquent on my bills for almost two months. A couple of them I was able to pay directly. I just saw on a my mortgage lender account that the bill that I paid using my checkbook was rejected for some reason and I have been charged XXXX late fees!!! The representatives that I spoke with each acknowledged that it was a problem on M & T 's end but yet they have n't it in two months. I have n't even received a phone call. I went to a free standing M & T Bank and they told me that they could not help with online issues. Today is now my fourth phone call to M & T bank. I asked to speak to a supervisor and I was put on hold for approximately 56 minutes now. I am still on hold as I am typing this complaint. I ca n't believe that they would treat their customers this way. In the past I have waited no more than 2 minutes for my call to be answered. I need this issue resolved as soon as possible. I have never had a late payment to a payee. Now I have a bunch of late fees and counting. My credit is becoming affected by this. Please advise!!

Consumer Complaint: Frivolous debt collection attempt against me and co defendants. Facts of the case : Alleged loan # XXXX. Address : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, KY XXXX Name : XXXX XXXX 1. Originator of the alleged loan admitted that it did not lent money. Table funded loan. Fraud in inducement. Predatory and Fraudulent lending. No consummation of the loan happened. RESPA violation. 2. No assignment to the Trust is legally possible. 3. Wilmington Trust misrepresented the character, amount, and legal status of a debt, in violation of 15 U.S.C. 1692e ( 2 ) ( A ), and used a false representation or deceptive means to collect or attempt to collect a debt, in violation of 1692e ( 10 ). Wilmington Trust violated the Federal Debt Collections Practices Act. 4. On the XX/XX/2015 note maker notified Wilmington Trust N.A. by Truth in Lending Rescission Notice. Wilmington Trust refused to fulfill the obligations under regulation " Z ''. See 1026.23 Right of rescission. By operation of law on XX/XX/2015 the Note and a Mortgage become void. See : ( XXXX v. XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XX/XX/2015 ). Continuation of attempt to collect on void instruments constitutes Statutory TILA violations. No standing. 5 Attempt to collect on discharged debt. Consumer Complaint: I made several purchases again from XXXX. ; XXXX posted as normal and for some reason XXXX posted late and caused a bank charge of {$38.00}. There is another bank charge for a car loan that I missed a deposit which is my fault but they charge another late fee {$77.00} total. I have no control over when items post. I understand that but there has to be exceptions. The money was there but the posted thing is hard to understand. I am on a fixed income and there is no more until XXXX. How about stopping this {$3800.00} until then so I can have some money to live with for next month? You have made plenty in fees this month. Consumer Complaint: I have been getting charged insufficient fees from M & T Bank. WHen I call their customer service number, they tell me if I go into the negative, and bring it o a positive by the end of the next business day, that I will not get charged an insufficient fee. I have gotten XXXX fees in the art 2 months, and would like them credited back to my account. I did file a compliant with the bank itself, and a Manager called me, but, she said she could n't do anything about the call center calls, that someone else would have to handle that. I do n't agree with the fact that their customer service reps say one thing, then you call and ask if you can have the fees credited, and then they argue with you non-stop about it!!! Please help me in getting this rectified, as I would like to continue banking with this bank! Sincerely, A Very Dissatisfied Customer!!!

Consumer Complaint: M & T bank has the worse communication, and customer service I have ever experienced! I have the response they sent the CFPB, and it states false statements about what I said when I called to file my dispute. I never said the person behind me saw my pin and took money out! I stated that my coworker stole my debit card, and has seen my pin before because I use the same pin for all my cards! M & T denied my claim, on a determination they made themselves and it was false, because I never said that! I want them to replay me that recorded conversation I had with their XXXX representative, and you will see if clearly state my coworker stole my debit! I have copies of all the messages and paper work I have sent them! This is crazy already, and this bank just does n't care, and make false statements too.

Consumer Complaint: I would like to share with you my unfortunate experience that I had with M & T mortgage bank. I was mislead, given incorrect information, charged fees on top off fees and treated like a delinquent. I documented this whole experience. I got my mortgage with Hudson City savings bank in XX/XX/XXXX, my payment was XXXX, I never missed a payment. In XX/XX/XXXX M & T bank took over the mortgage, without any notification my payment went from XXXX to XXXX. I didnt know, so I continued making my usual payment of XXXX. In XXXX a received a check from M & T bank for XXXX and a letter saying that i was going into foreclosure. Surprised I called the bank, they then informed me that my payment had changed due to an escrow account that was opened on my behalf to pay my taxes ( without authorization ) and therefore my payment had changed.I informed the bank in writing that I did not want the bank to pay any taxes and that I wanted the escrow account closed. Their answer was that this was not possible and that everything is going to stay as it is and that if i did not pay the new payment amount plus fees, plus the missing payments I would be foreclosed. Distraught, as I had been making payments every month, I asked the M & T for help. The Bank had me fill out some forms for a modification and for them to disburse the back taxes over the course of 60 months. The bank then did a new escrow analysis and brought the payment down to XXXX, I started making payments for the new ammount. during all of this the bank misappropriated money and paid it to directly to principal, no matter how much i paid, XXXX sometimes more than XXXX payment a month XXXX the bank always seemed to have a way of to keeping my account in foreclosure, and collected fees, on top of fees. Throughout they sent me statement that made no sense sometimes XXXX statements a month. These statement were undecipherable they still can not explain them, they are attached. Aditionaly somehow my mortgage principal went up where - i owed more money on principal from month to month, Im still not sure how that is even possible or legal. On the phone the agents would give me wrong information, " one would say this is how much you owe '' and the next agent would give a totally different number as to what was owed. According to a letter received on XX/XX/XXXX that states that I owe on the account XXXX, and a phone conversation with a customer service representative that there are misappropriated funds of XXXX. I made XX/XX/XXXX 's payment of XXXX that should bring me to paid in full. - the breakdown being XXXX owed + XXXX for XX/XX/XXXX minus XXXX misappropriated funds. I called in to confirm with a customer service representative, I was informed that the funds were not credited to the account rather they were placed in suspense ; The agent also confirmed that if they were to be applied that it would bring me current, however I just received in the mail XXXX statements, XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX states that i owe XXXX, XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX states that i owe XXXX. Its starting to feel like a sick game. According to my math I should be all paid up. Throughout my experience I was transferred in circles, hung up on, mislead and over all treated like garbage, I even hired someone to try and help me deal with the bank hoping that he could get better and results, he too was mistreated. It is out right inappropriate for a financial institution to treat an individual like that, particularly XXXX who has never missed a payment. I would like all of the fees on my account to be waved, an apology from the bank, and some sort of compensation for the XXXX they put me through for the past 4 months.The bank abused it power as a lender, it look advantage of me & my legal knowledge and did everything in its power to take fees, make more money, mistreat me, regardless that it will profit over XXXX on the loan

Consumer Complaint: I applied and received a mortgage on a bank-owned house in XXXX Ohio last XXXX 2016. I also received a XXXX loan with this home. I had a contractor, who arranged for the work, and I signed the contract, not aware that things were missing. The basement and crawl space has frequent water, has damage, and was not listed on the original paperwork. I was not present to ask about those things at the time. Contractor turned out to be unsavory, even though vetted by my local mortgage company. Mortgage was then sold to bank in New York. I have not drawn on the loan, but keep paying. Bank seems 'stuck ' with what needs to be done, even though I have tried to express to them importance with their forms and XXXX info, that I can change things to ensure my Health and Safety in that home. They do not say yes/no, they merely re-state I must do things by a certain date, or I am out of compliance. I want to rearrange loan monies to fix the basement. It still requires $ XXXX to fix everything, and I will have to find a way to financially do this. This is before things can be done like replacing exit door and tiling area, which is on the original list. The house has foundation problems with accompanying moisture and mold issues and lower level can not be made habitable until rectified. Submitted paperwork to do same, but bank is telling me for the past 6 months or so, that I need to stick to the original plan. I question bank 's rendering of this loan process when things need to be altered. I have been transferred to at least XXXX staff for administration to no avail. I am tired and can not afford a legal representation at this point ... I also have a house to sell in order to move, but can not do that until I have a new place to live ... I 'm XXXX and have animals and work full time for my XXXX. It has not been easy to deal with M & T Bank, because they do not seem to listen. Please assist me as you can. I welcome ANY helpful information. I would like to refinance the entire loan and start over, if possible. Preferably with a LOCAL BANK I can deal with. Thanks.

Consumer Complaint: The M & T online banking website was updated around XXXX XXXX 2016. The new online banking software would not allow me to login because the website requested my location. I have used my same laptop to login to this website since I had these accounts for around a year and a half. I have used this laptop for all my banking and bill paying and still do. I currently use this lap top to login to XXXX other online banking accounts and they all work fine. I have only had a problem with M & T online banking website allows me to put in my ID and password then gives me an error saying that I need to turn on my location services on my lap top. Why does M & T online bank services need to know my location now? Does it matter? This is the reason that it gives, for me not being able to login and transfer my funds. M & T login banking did n't need my location for the last year and a half. Not being able to login for this reason has caused me to be charged horrific fee 's. I had money in another account that should have been used to cover the debits and checks that I usually debit every month. This bank continually charged my account multiple times for the same incident for insufficient funds when I had money in another account, that had not been transferred. XXXX XXXX 2016, my system of banking was upset by the new M & T online banking software failing to let me login because it did not know the location of my laptop, when in the past it did n't need to know the location of my laptop. I have been a excellent account holder, never any charges for insufficient funds or anything, never. I have excellent credit. I am an educated consumer whom follows the rules and avoids fees and charges by the bank on accounts. I really think the M & T updated website was designed to create this location error so that they can get rid of consumers whom they do n't make much money in service fees. I would like to present my laptop to your bureau to show how they used this deceptive practice to extort money out of smart consumers. I worked for 40 years in the technical industry. I build computers. Please allow me to show you my laptop.
