Consumer Complaint: I have spent 2 hours typing this and this webpage just reset itself and your upload wont let me upload so I cant send everything through upload. I will send everything thought the document upload. M & T did not change my account like I asked to have done before I went in for XXXX. I was never informed of there being 2 different free checking accounts and neither was my husband when he went into change his account and our joint account before his XXXX. Because M & T Banks associate was either neglectful or the associate or M & T was extremely deceitful. M & T bank says oops were sorry its a misunderstanding. A misunderstanding where I lost a lot and they gained it. M & T was not up front about their account types or explained what changes were made when my husband changed over the 2 accounts. My husband was unaware that the 2 accounts had been changed to a completely new account type. I am sorry if this doesnt make a lot of sense. I am trying to be fast because the website resets and clears everything and I have to start over and the upload wont let me upload. Only update since that is M & T Bank completely wiped out all the money my husband had put in there for bills. When my husband went to talk to them they pretty much told him ol well we can do what we want If XXXX name is on it. Really? This account has been being disputed since XX/XX/19. Now M & T has taken every account that has my name on it into the negative. They didnt even leave money in the joint to cover the pending transaction. I am guessing every account in my name is in the negative because I have been fighting this since XX/XX/19 and Im not sure who can help me so Im sending it everywhere. M & T has now stolen $ XXXX from us.

Consumer Complaint: M & T XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX CA XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX The negotiator is playing games on this file and forcing a cancellation that is unnecessary. The fully executed Arms Length Affidavit was sent in on XX/XX/XXXX. Yesterday she claimed that escrow didnt sign it. In fact, the negotiator did not bother to look at the last page, which escrow signed separately. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, she came up with yet another excuse to not work on the file, claiming the agents employing broker does not have the right to sign for him. Firstly, it is obvious the negotiator is playing games -- -- - she didnt ask for the agent to sign instead of the broker yesterday, and all of the sudden today she is cancelling the file. -- -- She is cancelling the file without giving us the opportunity to provide the requested documentation!!!!! She just arbitrarily cancelled the file so she wouldnt have to work on it. Secondly, she has decided to prohibit the agents employing broker to sign for them even though the broker is legally responsible for all of their agents. This is in fact a violation of CA State Law regarding the rights and responsibilities of the employing broker in a real estate transaction. I want the short sale re-opened and reviewed IMMEDIATELY. This should never have been cancelled.

I needed to write a hand-written letter to a specific branch, but they could not tell me what branch that needed to be. The account charges me {$14.00} each month which I no longer wish to pay and I simply want it closed and the charges to stop. They claim that due to the outstanding balance of {$6.00} it can not be closed.

Consumer Complaint: Please refer to original case number XXXX. M & T guaranteed to remove the incorrect information from my report. I have the letter in which they indicated that they would update all credit bureaus in regards to fixing this issue. In XXXX of XXXX, my XXXX XXXX was totaled by a large truck on XXXX. XXXX deemed it as a total loss and paid off my car with the exception of about {$300.00} or so. I advised M & T that I was waiting on the GAP insurance to be processed, but because I kept getting threatening calls, I paid them off. Eventually they sent me the reimbursed amount in XXXX for about {$300.00}. The account was closed with a XXXX balance with a good standing. It was removed from all reports, but I received an alert from XXXX that it was back on my report. My installment loan was for an account that is identified by the following XXXX.

My home sold on XX/XX/2019 where the proceeds to " PAY OFF '' M & T bank were wired the same day of XX/XX/2019. M & T Bank did not update their records and website to reflect that the mortgage I had was PAID IN FULL, and started Foreclosure proceedings on XX/XX/2019. To DATE, the records are not updated, correct, or have the correct amount PAID IN FULL of the mortgage account I had. I have written M & T bank Certified letters and to date this bank stills respond back incorrectly as to the facts and amount of the balance owed.

Consumer Complaint: I began communication with M & T Banks Assistance Center Department in XX/XX/XXXX, in order to prevent foreclosure from occurring on the property that both my Mother, XXXX and I occupy. We fell behind with payments and bills due to my Mothers boss cutting her hours in XXXX and ultimately laying her off in XX/XX/XXXX. The woman I spoke to, who was incredibly friendly, suggested going into a forbearance plan, she said it was a new plan that they were offering for loss mitigation. She said she did not have the details regarding it though, but that it would lower payments so we would be able to catch up. Initially she said that wed be paying {$25.00} a month instead of our regular monthly payment. She processed the paperwork, which we were approved for. Payments then began of {$1200.00} a month until XX/XX/XXXX when we would have to reapply for an extension of the forbearance plan. At the time, my Mother was laid off XX/XX/XXXX, but was receiving unemployment. The extension was granted, the same amount for the forbearance, and the extension ran until XX/XX/XXXX. We also received notification that we had also been approved for a modification in XXXX of XXXX. We received notice in XX/XX/XXXX to submit another application to Loss Mitigation in order to see if we would be approved for either another extension or a modification. The information was submitted on XX/XX/XXXX. My Mother had started a new job in the beginning of the month so her paystubs were then submitted to support any payment plan that would be approve. I then received a call XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX from the Assistance Center , the gentleman on the other end said that we were denied a modification because the modification amount would be greater than the actual mortgage payment. When I asked what he meant, he stated that he didnt know, there was no clarification from the underwriter and that I should call back to find out. I called on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX to see if I could get further clarification and also to make the forbearance payment. I was in formed on this hour long phone call, that the forbearance plan was terminated due to my Mother now having a job, and that they still could not give me an answer as to why the underwriters said the modification payment would be more than the regular payment. I stated that the termination due to employment of the forbearance plan was NEVER disclosed to me. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and it took some time to get him on the phone. I believe his name was XXXX. He said that the termination of the forbearance was due to it being a forbearance of unemployment. If this is the case, this should have been disclosed prior to application, the original forbearance was never disclosed as unemployment as my Mother had still been employed when we were approved. He did not clarify the denial letter as the information was not provided. He told me he would have to research it, and would call me by XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX to let me know what exactly it meant. He said that I had a right to appeal the denial, but I never received a phone call on XX/XX/XXXX. I did appeal the denial but was sent a letter that it was incomplete. I finally reached out to HUD, United States Department of Housing and Urban Development where I was matched over to XXXX XXXX XXXX. The woman I was partnered with, XXXX, offered to do a conference call with not only myself, but with M & T Bank as well. That call took place on XX/XX/XXXX. We still did not receive clarification on the denial still but did have a new packet for the application sent to myself and my Mother. The letter stating that we had until XX/XX/XXXX to send in all the documents that were requested. I e-mailed the documents on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX. Everything that was requested was there. Yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from M & T Bank XXXX XXXX. The letter was dated XX/XX/XXXX. The letter stated that due to not sending in my application and the application being incomplete, they would be closing the case that was open. I immediately called the Assistance Center to find out what was going on, because I knew for a fact that I e-mailed it in on time. The gentleman that I spoke to, XXXX XXXX, stated that it was considered as late because it wasnt uploaded to my profile within the 24 to 48 hour time frame. I asked him to explain as I e-mailed it in on XX/XX/XXXX, the deadline for the application. He said because they have to download it, scan it in and upload it to the profile, its considered late. This was the first time I was hearing this as nothing was ever disclosed about a specific time frame that is based on who is there in their office to do this. Mr. XXXX said that I would have to submit a new application despite the fact that he said that the application I e-mailed in was uploaded to my profile on XX/XX/XXXX. I asked him why I would need to submit a brand-new application after I e-mailed XXXX XXXXn XX/XX/XXXX, it had just been 4 days prior to the phone call. He recanted and said that the application would open up a new case. There has been nothing but confusion, and little to no information being provided. Clarification for the original denial has never been provided, they keep having us submit applications, the terminate a forbearance, which that rule was never disclosed. We moved our mortgage to M & T Bank f.k.a. Hudson City Savings Bank because that is the bank that my family has been with for years. We have never gone through such headaches, heartache, and confusion. My Mother has a bad XXXX to begin with, so I have been dealing with all the phone calls so she doesnt get upset over what is taking place, shes aware of it, very aware of it but I dont need anything happening to her, and this has been an ongoing frustration with Loss Mitigation. The lack of information, sudden rules, no clarification has been a complete headache for both of us.

Consumer Complaint: We built our house in XXXX and we were paying our mortgage with no problem then my husband got sick and we had issues. Back in XXXX we missed a few payments of our mortgage and we tried to work with the mortgage company but they would not work with us. We went to a local company for help and went to a chapter XXXX. We couldn't afford the bankruptcy so we went to a chapter XXXX and our terrible attorney did not inform us that we could lose our car and property if we did not continue paying. We have applied for 10 modifications with no resolution! Our mortgage company would not let us pay at that point. We hired many attorneys and then after paying a lot of money we were told we need to sue our mortgage company but we did not have the money to hire a litigator. Before the XXXX of XXXX we tried for one last modification which legally is supposed to stop the foreclosure and the sale of the house but of course this powerful bank has hold on our city and our house was to be sold at auction. No one showed up so the mortgage company assumed it. We stressed the fact that my husband has XXXX and is in treatment and still working so we do have income coming in. The company we hired said we need to sue the mortgage company but we are financially strapped with no means of help towards it. Now we have to be out of our home and the amount of money we have to spend to move we could put toward our mortgage! The mortgage company foreclosed on us so our credit is shot! Which means trying to find a place to live is very difficult! We have tried to reach out to every agency here in XXXX NY and no-one would help us!! We have been turned away from every housing agency here. They told us to hire an attorney which we can not afford! We are frustrated and angry!

Consumer Complaint: This Company was told to cease and desist as a third party collector with no contract to enforce collection of a debt and do not have a bilateral or unilateral contract with the company who contracted them. Lawyers and Attorneys do not have a license to practice law as a BAR Card is only a members card and not licenses. Notice of dispute and a qualified written request has been sent to the company. A power of Attorney has revoked any previous power of attorney and no company has power of attorney for this Estate. Under 12 USC 83 banks can not credit any money from their stock and I believe the note was deposited was cashed and no credit, value of gold or silver has not been given by either company. A request for a Securitization Analysis Report by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is requested on this account. All responses are to be by Affidavit of Truth only as letters can be filled with lies. Proof of power of attorney is requested as well

Consumer Complaint: Please be advised I have submitted a full short sale package to my lender M & T Bank and we continued to submit all the documents and udpates. The lender declined the short sale after appraisal and stated my listing agent to sell for a full price offer. The appraisal was XXXX I have not been behind long enough for FHA to decline per my default status of the loan. We have been requesting the payoff letter from the Attorney on file and the Lender nearly a month and they would not accept my Authorization and asked that I notarize one to give to them? the property is still in my name I should be able to request a payoff to ensure the listing will pay the loan in full. The buyer of my short sale placed a full offer of XXXX to purchase the property and was sent to M & T Bank and they need to review that as per not helping us to get the payoff.

Consumer Complaint: I SOLD my house on XX/XX/2019 and the money to pay off the mortgage was 'WIRED '' ELECTRONICALLY in the amount of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX dollars and XXXX cents ( {$76000.00} ) to M & T Bank on XX/XX/2019. This was 'VERIFIED ' by Closing Attorney 's office as to the amount of Pay OFF that was due under mortgage account XXXX. To date ( XX/XX/2019 ) M & T bank has NOT UPDATED to show that I have a XXXX balance with them and that the mortgage is PAID IN FULL. This is effecting my " CREDIT '' and should have been UPDATED BY NOW. I DO NOT OWE THEM ANY MORE MONEY!!!!!
