Consumer Complaint: on friday XXXX XX/XX/2020 when i woke up so i got a message from my bank stating that your balance is below certain amount and that is valid as i set notification request for that but when i checked my account balance so someone has transferred certain amount from my account using XXXX without my consent so at once i went to my bank branch so they said its an online matter so we can not deal with that they gave me phone number for online matters to be dealt with so i called them they there was one lady she said your device is compromised so you need to clean your device and close your old account and open new account so i did and she said in the mean while bank will give you provisional credit of the amount which you lose and bank team will conduct investigation and check i said ok. next day when i went back branch with my new phone as according to them someone hacked my phone so the manager was saying that i am calling them but they are not picking phone to remove block from my online account and i told her that i am waiting she tried again so after some time she removed block. Today when i called online banking to know the status so she said your dispute is closed and request denied for provisional credit so i said when i have not done any transaction so this is the banks responsibility to reimburse me for my loss but she said transfer is from trusted device and thats all and i am asking them for the details of the account to which money is transferred so they are saying there is a block on account we can not see details i am so confused what to doo now as its my hard earned income and bank is not taking responsibility and with that i tried to inform cops so cops said we are not technology person and your bank can help you in this matter so please help me i can provide all the details to my knowledge i want my money back

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX before I " bought '' my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX N.J. house I called many attorneys to do the closing because they all declined to do the closing for a variety of reasons that include that the house has already been foreclosed on and the that the house belongs to a pool of homes owned by the XXXX of XXXX, N.J. and that the house could not be sold. I received a call back from attorney XXXX XXXX XXXX who said that the other attorneys are mistaken and that we could go forward with the closing right away. I contacted XXXX about many discrepancies on the closing documents several times and he explained that I am worrying about nothing. It turns out that the deed itself has imperfections on it and that the title insurance is NOT for my property. The deed and the title insurance are not even close and there are just too many discrepancies to believe that they are errors. For example in addition to the aforementioned items the sellers undersign certification of the penalty of perjury listed that the property being sold was XXXX XXXX XXXX and not the correct address of XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have been trying to sell the house because of financial problems that started right about the time I " closed '' on the house in XXXX I was XXXX years old with a high paying white collar job for a blue chip company with perfect credit and I mean perfect credit. No matter how many times I buy new phones and get new cellular telephone service my phone are on the XXXX XXXX XXXX network. I have been subject to call interception and voice impersonation. My emails get intercepted and impersonated and XXXX of N.J. has been captured on my computer. Just to give you an idea that I am telling the truth my XXXX phone number ( XXXX ) XXXX has the Mobile Identification Number ( MIN ) XXXX The MIN identifies the Mobile Station Number and that is NOT XXXX XXXX. I was impersonated on my job at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and my phone calls were intercepted with caller ID SPOOFING and voice impersonation it does take long to lose your job especially it the intention is to make you look as if you are crazy and not remembering temper flare ups and all kinds of important things. I AM ADAMANT THAT THE PHONE AND INTERNET TAMPERING ARE ASSOCIATED WITH TRYING TO GET ME TO SELL MY HOUSE UNDER DISTRESSED FINANCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES. I had a very steady upward climb with my career until I bought this house and once I was able to capture evidence of phone and internet interception and impersonation my career is ascending again. The problem is I was XXXX when I bough the house in XXXX and I will be XXXX in less than one week. The phone tampering with caller ID SPOOFING and call INTERCEPTION WITH VOICE IMPERSONATION should not be taken lightly. If I didn't figure out that the phones and the internet were sabotaged I would be completely out of money costing the TAX PAYER a fortune because the tactic deployed with the phones and the internet are designed to get people to believe that they need XXXX XXXX XXXX. I can tell you right now I have no criminal record and there has never been any incident that would even remotely imply I need XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have requested XXXX XXXX to produce a copy of the pay off to Hudson City Savings Bank ( HCSB ) for years and they have failed to show that they paid anything for my HCSB mortgage. I have contacted M & T Bank who bought HCSB and they have not been able to produce ANYTHING that shows that I have a mortgage. The records show that the mortgage was not filed and XXXX XXXX held the " mortgagge '' from XXXX to XXXX and then assigned the mortgage all over the place as if they are going to confuse any party that tries to get the cancelled pay-off to HCSB XXXX XXXX has failed to produce the discharge of the mortgage that they allegedly paid off. I feel that this type of fraud should be a priority with LAW ENFORCEMENT since making sure people don't work and making sure that their social avenues get closed results in ex-homeowners being placed on government assistance. If I didn't figure out it was the phones and the internet I would think that I was losing my mind and go on government assistance. Fortunately I figured out that the phone and the internet tampering were the problem and got a job in XXXX by applying in person. Its not easy but it can be done. Its also very hard to find a lawyer with a tampered internet while getting calls intercepted but it will get done. I have started the rebound process and I am sure that the problems go back to buying the house. Every last thing is designed to disconnect the victim from everybody so they look like they are crazy. I was lucky I want to help the next person avoid this type of stuff. I want this to be a criminal investigation to help protect others from being victimized. What makes things worse is that the closing attorney XXXX XXXX XXXX has some how ... worked his way to be XXXX XXXX Judge XXXX. No record of the mortgage being paid off. The title insurance is NOT for the deed location and I was sold XXXX XXXX XXXX and NOT THE CORRECT LOCATION OF XXXX XXXX XXXX. THERE IS A LOT MORE TO THIS I have proof and want to see this stuff stop.

Consumer Complaint: Due to Covid-19 I became behind on payments. I received a call from from M & T Bank on XX/XX/XXXX, asking if I had been affected by Covid-19, ( I said yes ) and unable to payments to complete an Hardship application and submit it for immediate help. I was told to email the application to XXXX. M & T Bank called me on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX I missed the call and called back on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX in which I was asked if I had completed the application and I said yes, I will email the completed application over ASAP. I sent the completed application on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX via email to XXXX. Then on XX/XX/XXXX I received a call at XXXX XXXX from M & T stating that they never received the hardship application. I advised the rep that I indeed did sent the completed application on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX to the email address that was provided on the application ( XXXX ). The rep stated that they never received the application and that I needed to resend the application along with the supporting documents. I then said okay I will resend via fax and email. I confirmed the fax number ( XXXX ) and email ( XXXX ) with the rep and I resent all the documents including the application and supporting documents to the fax number at XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and via email at XXXX. I received no error messages from either the email or fax number. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX I called M & T Bank inquiring about the documents that were resent via email and fax, and the rep told me that they were received and being review by underwriting and I would receive a call within a week of the decision. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX, I called again M & T Bank to inquire if a decision had been made on my application and I was told that underwriting had no made a decision and that the rep would send an escalation email to get a response on the decision ASAP because they thought it was unusual for underwriting to not have a response by now. I didn't trust what the rep told me so I again called M & T Bank on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX to inquire if the escalation that the sent in the prior day had been review and if there was a decision made so that I can keep my home. I was told that there was no decision just yet and that I should expect a call in the next five days. Still no call from M & T on XX/XX/XXXX so I called again on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX. I was told that no decision had been made and that she would escalate my case to the underwriting department and her supervisor to get an answer ASAP. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX I again inquired about my hardship application and I was told that there was still no decision made on my application/case and that she would apply for an addition forbearance until XXXX or XXXX of XXXX for me and that I wouldn't have to worry about payments until then. Well I was concerned about this move because that meant that I would end up owning more money that I would be able to pay for back payments by pushing the forbearance to XXXX or XXXX of XXXX. I felt like this was a set up for me to lose the home I raised my three kids in for the last 5 years. I asked why hasn't my case/application hadn't been reviewed and I was told that she didn't know but the underwriting would add notes to my account once they had review the application and supporting documents and tot just be patient. I then on XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from M & T advising me that my forbearance had been approved until XXXX of XXXX ( short call only 1 min 37 secs ). I then called again on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX inquiring if the underwriting department had made a decision on my application and supporting documents and I was told no but not to worry because I had a forbearance. I again expressed concerned about the amount of cash I would have to come up with in order to save my home once the forbearance was over and I was again brushed off because I had an approved forbearance and to wait until underwriting made a decision. The today on XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from M & T at XXXX from rep XXXX XXXX Calling to inform me that my forbearance has been approved ( knew this already ), however my application and supporting documents are no longer valid because its been over 90 days and that I needed to resubmit a new application and supporting documents in order to be considered for a loan modification. WELL EXCUSE ME WHAT!!!! I was extremely upset. I had done what everyone one in the financial world says to do, which is to contact my bank and complete a hardship application and allow them to help me through this difficult time. I did what I was suppose to do and I completed and submitted my hardship application and supporting documents not once but twice because they claim they never received them. Why in XXXX 's good and hold name did they not review them at all????? The rep XXXX told me directly that the intake reps never reviewed them or referred my application and supporting documents to the underwriting department. And that he could escalate the issue but it would make no difference because my application and documents have expired and I would need to resubmit regardless of what I had done prior. I support three kids and I live in a redline neighborhood so you can imagine how proud my mom and grandparents are that we were the 1st XXXX family to buy a house in my neighborhood. Now after I had a difficult time making payments and reached out to my bank for assistance and completed the necessary paperwork, they get to drop the ball and I get to pay over $ XXXX all at once because they want to let a forbearance carry me into a new year. I guarantee you if I was a white women or any women other than XXXX American, my application would have been approved in the recommended timeframe ( 7 business days ). This is not fair in any sense. I did my part and the bank refuses to do their part. I would like the bank to approve the original application and supporting documents that were sent in on XX/XX/XXXX and push all missed payments to the back of my mortgage. No one should have to suffer the stress and heartache that I have suffered during a stressful time and especially if they followed all the rules and timelines. If needed I have all emails, faxes, and phone records for review.

Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of both Hurricanes Laura and Delta. In addition to living 3 weeks in 115 degree heat on generators to run the AC to dry out water-damaged sheetrock & tarping a house with buckets in the attic to catch rain, we had to file complaints with the LA Insurance Commissioner to get our insurance to pay on the loss. In the meantime, my husband lost his job & I lost my office & we got denied for an SBA loan that mightve helped me keep my business open. We paid for a roof on a credit card that we didnt have to save our house while we waited for a claim to settle. When that finally happened, we learned from our mortgager, M & T Bank, that they were going to keep our insurance funds pending repairs. Which is understandable. But ... they said they will pay us when the work is 100 % complete. It did not matter that we are already {$12000.00} in debt for a roof. We are not to receive funds until ALL repairs are made - 100 % of all items listed on the adjustors report. I asked how they can expect us to make repairs with money we dont have when the insurance released money but they refuse to release it to actually make repairs. XXXX said its just M & Ts policy. I was shamed for taking so long to get the checks & paperwork to them until I informed them about having to file Ins Commissioner complaints to get results & that when we got it, M & T got it. We have no jobs, little income, are on deferred morrgage payments for financial hardship from Covid & Laura & Delta. Despite all of this, M & T is refusing to pay out necessary funds to repair our home. We did our part despite hardship to salvage our house & minimize additional damage as best we could, insurance did their part by paying out for repairs, but it has all come to a grinding halt with M & T. We literally can not afford to pay out of pocket for repairs. And they know this because our payments are deferred. How is this legal? How can they do this to people? How can they get away with kicking us while we are down on the ground after these 2 natural disasters? How can they expect us to repair & protect our investment ( & theirs ) if they withhold the very funds we desperately need to do that? We need what little credit we have on our cards to live on. We can not afford to tie them up on repairs while we wait for inspectors to call to set up appts to report back to M & T to maybe or maybe not write us a check to waiting for that check from our sluggishly slow postal service that is recovering like the rest of us to depositing it in our bank to FINALLY being able to use it. Its just impossible. Please help us. All of us here in SWLA from the M & Ts out there. What options do we have? Please tell me what we can do. Please

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage was refinanced on XX/XX/XXXX from M & T Bank. Every year I would send my mortgage company my tax bill as instructed to be paid. I did not send them my bill as I knew I was going to pay off the mortgage. M & T ended up taking money out of my escrow to pay my taxes on XX/XX/XXXX {$5400.00} even though they knew they were going to get paid off. My new mortgage company paid the taxes on XX/XX/XXXX and my tax collected received the payment from M & T on XX/XX/XXXX and mailed the check back to the address from which it came. I was told by M & T that this was done by wire and that it had to be researched and that I would need to call back in 30 days! I told the agent the my tax collected received a CHECK and that it should be cancelled and a new one reissued to me ASAP and they said that is not how they do things. I called back on XX/XX/XXXX and was told to call back tomorrow as that would be 30 days ... .I called on XX/XX/XXXX and they said they received the CHECK back and that they will be reissuing the check and it could take another 2 weeks ( I still have my account with M & T ). I am very upset as they have been able to hold my funds for 60 days now with no recourse or plan of action.

Consumer Complaint: Good afternoon, I had a loan with M & T Mortgage and I made every payment on time throughout the 8 years I had the mortgage with them. I sold the property and the closing took much longer than expected due to COVID and due the buyer and they buyers lender which was out of my control. It actually 3 months to close, so I made two payments during that time. The 3rd month I was advised by the lender and the attorney not to pay the last mortgage payment because they had already called and gotten the payoff and that it would interfere with the closing disclosure at the closing if I made the last payment. We were supposed to close on the XX/XX/XXXX, but something happened on the lender/buyer side and it was bumped to XX/XX/XXXX. My mortgage company ( M & T ) called me about the payment, and I explained that we were closing on the property the next day ( XX/XX/XXXX. ) He said that would be fine. He did not say, Well you better pay it now or this will be reported to the credit buruea. If he had, I would have gone ahead and paid it and dealt with the consequences on the closing. I have been working very hard to get my credit built up, and now it went down 64 points due to 1 day. I checked my credit score today and it has dropped 64 points due to the payment being paid on the day of the grace period ending. The balance of the account is now XXXX, so I called M & T and asked them to please consider pulling back the negative impact to my credit. I was placed on hold and advised that per the supervisor they could not do that and I would just have to deal with it. I advised them that I was not happy with that and asked if there was anything else I could do and she told me no. I am asking if there is a way to have this negative report removed from my credit. I am happy to provide more details if someone can let me know what I need to provide.
