Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020, my husband and I realized that we were victims of a scam. {$750.00} had been sent via XXXX within the banks mobile app and the two more payments of {$1200.00} and {$700.00} were sent. When a fourth payment was demanded, we realized we were scammed. I immediately contacted my bank to dispute the transactions, which totaled {$2600.00}. On XX/XX/2020, I was advised by the bank that they were denying my dispute. I filed a police report as well as complaints with the FTC, XXXX, and NYS Attorney Generals Office. My husband also has the text messages from the scammer admitting what he did while trying to recruit my husband to join them. On XX/XX/2020, I also filed complaints with the Federal Reserve and the NY State Dept of Banking.

Consumer Complaint: I currently have a mortgage with M & T Bank. This mortgage is currently in a forbearance plan as a result of a COVID hardship assistance request, effective XX/XX/2020. As a result of this forbearance, my payments have been paused. Last week, I've received a letter from M & T Bank notifying me that despite my current forbearance status, my mortgage is currently " in default ''. This new information does not coincide with the current forbearance plan that I have been approved for. It is my opinion that M & T Bank has committed to harassing and bullying consumers who have opted to take advantage the protections afforded to them during this crisis. Prior to receiving this letter, I have received multiple calls from representatives of their bank, calling to remind me of what my options will be once the forbearance period is over. On the last call I received, the representative informed me that at least one option to resolve the past due payments will not be available to me if I do not have steady employment at that time. I do not believe this information to be accurate.

I stated I dont know anybody in Ohio and no I did not purchase a computer they asked me to go onto my XXXX account and check which I did and then they told me to go onto my online and run a test to make sure and see if it was taken out of my account {$990.00} later I am out I filed a police report and reported it right away to M & t Bank and they say its under investigation I am a new customer there. This is the first time Ive ever done banking online I will never do banking online again. I had not even or ever tried any of the other features on the online banking app at M and T now they have it under investigation and I am not sure if they want to return my money which they should. I am very upset I am out {$990.00}

Consumer Complaint: I have tried to sell my house know for 5 years and the deals all fall short a few days before closing when the title commitment is expected to be issued. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX claims to have paid off my original purchase mortgage XX/XX/XXXX and for some reason have no financial records to prove that they paid a dime for the mortgage. The mortgage is stamped cancelled with no indication of being satisfied. I have tried to get the release of lien and discharge so I can sell the house but XX/XX/XXXXXXXX doesn't have it. Taking into consideration that XX/XX/XXXX XXXX has no proof of paying off the mortgage it is very hard to believe that the " mortgage '' has been transferred time and time over again to a party that lays out over {$100000.00} and has absolutely no proof of payment to Hudson City Savings Bank. It is very hard to believe that any party would buy paper with no paper trail and pass it from one party to another on a regular basis. Take a look at the attachment that shows in book XXXX page 96 the lot and the block was changed. I not exactly certain where the fraud is but I am very sure that fraud has taken place. I need to get ALL the information for my Hudson City Savings Bank mortgage said to be issued on or around XX/XX/XXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX for my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX house. The mortgage origination number was XXXX the alleged mortgage number is XXXX I need to know if the mortgage was actually issued, recalled or foreclosed. I need to know if the mortgage was paid off and who paid the mortgage off and the ate it was paid off and the amount paid if any. I also need to know the current status and why there is no release of lien or discharge of mortgage and how to get such records if they exist. I would greatly appreciate your cooperation with this very serious matter.
