Consumer Complaint: I pay additional money every. Month and they don't apply it to my balance I have called them seven times asking for this to be fixed I have been paying the extra amount for over a year and a half and they refuse to deduct it from my principal and just keep pushing the payment due date out and keep the loan amount high causing me to pay more in interest. The bank is M & T Bank and the loan is for my boat. I need this corrected and the principal adjusted please and they won't do anything for me and when I try to call the bank now I am out in hold for hours. As you can see by the attached document I pay more then the agreement and have been for a long time and the balance does not reflect it nor does the face they are charging me interest incorrectly.

Consumer Complaint: I make payments to M & T bank on this loan through XXXX XXXX 's bill paying program. I use this program to pay almost all my bills and never have an issue except with M & T bank. M & T bank does not credit my account with payments made and then duns me late fees as well as reporting missed payments to credit agencies. This is the second time this has happened which indicates someone is not doing their job. When I contact the lender about the unposted payments, I am told that if I use their bill paying program or website payment process, I wouldn't have these issues. I will refinance this loan with another lender but feel this predatory lending practice should be addressed by the appropriate agency so others are not ripped off by this lender. Churning an account to make fees is highly unethical and illegal. I can submit copies of the attempts XXXX XXXX billing program made to make these payments if that can be of help.

Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX. I am a victim of a scam through social media. The person was posing as a family member and wanted me to go into an investment with a company with a man named XXXX ( his XXXX name is XXXX ; his number is XXXX ) .He then scammed me into investing in BitCoin . This was my first time ever investing in a company this big. Bad checks were directly deposited into my bank account, which resulted in a {$10000.00} overdraft. I have met with the bank officials and have talked to the police about this and the police opened an investigation. The bank officials told me that I could be held responsible because I gave out my information. The bank required me to pay the {$10000.00} in full, which I am financially unable to do. Therefore, they closed my account and the amount went to collection. The police opened an investigation, but they told me that they are at a dead end on the case and there are no clear or defined suspects to charge. I provided all of my documents to the bank officials and to the police and I am willing to provide them to whoever is able to help me with this matter.

Consumer Complaint: I cosigned for an auto loan with M & T Bank with my brother XXXX XXXX. After he got his statement in the mail, he called in to set up auto bill pay. After that, they did not send any confirmation about scheduled payments so we thought we were all set. A few weeks later, I got a call that the account was past due. My brother called in to make a payment over the phone, they told him the auto payment was having issues because of XXXX. So, my brother made a payment using Routing/Acct # over the phone. He then called XXXX and they said there were no issues on their end as far as auto bill pay goes. Then, weeks later, I got a notice from XXXX XXXX that my score went down due to a late payment on the account. At this point, no payment had posted. The customer service told us the autopay had failed and the phone payment failed and told us to contact XXXX again. They claimed the issue was not on their end. At this point, both myself and my brother had our credit scores drop substantially. That Monday, my brother made a cash payment of {$1000.00} at the branch. A month later, for the next payment, he called in and tried making a phone payment with Account and Routing # 's and once again it did not post. According to the statement from M & T mailed to us, the payments posted but then there was something called a " Payment Reversal. '' I went online to try to pay the bill that way. I created an online portal for M & T and then when I tried to pay the bill, it told me I needed a M & T Bank checking account in order to do online bill pay. I went ahead and created one, but then my only option for transferring funds to it was to make a deposit at a branch or do a debit card deposit which had a limit of {$250.00}. There was no way to transfer funds from one account to the other. This means, my only option would be to deposit a check or cash in person at the branch. In essence, M & T Bank forces you to open a whole new checking account with them to make payments. I looked online and on Consumer Affairs there are many people with the same story as me. M & T Bank purposefully makes it nearly impossible to make payments unless you have a Checking account with them. Even if you do have one, you can only add funds through a branch deposit or debit card with a {$250.00} limit. I strongly believe M & T Bank lied to us about the payments not going through and it was done on purpose to force us into opening another account with them. This led us to ultimately refinancing, however my credit score is now in the low 600 's so I had to have someone else cosign for my brother. M & T Bank did not process our payments correctly numerous times, and now my brother and I have bad credit.

I have sufficient balance and bank is not paying interest for my account. There is no interest option with this bank. I asked them to waive my monthly fee or provide quarterly paper statement instead of monthly. They did not honer my request. They are asking me to signup for electronic delivery and forgo paper statement to waive the FEE. When I review this option, it is asking to me sign up to receive all bank communication electronically. I am not sure, it is a good idea. I need docs for records. I got a message " M & T has blocked online access to your accounts. If you would like to request that we reinstate access, or if you feel this block was placed in error, please call an M & T Online Customer Service Representative at XXXX ( Mon-Fri XXXX, Sat-Sun XXXX ET ). '' So I phoned and, after about 20 minutes on hold, spoke with XXXX. XXXX asked me to verify my identity by giving her the first 5 digits of my SS #. This is very suspicious, as usually I am asked for the last 4 digits. I gave her the first 5 digits, and she looked into my account. She said that she would send me an email to further verify my identity. Per the email, I received a text requesting a photo of my driver 's license. This is also suspicious. I took a photo of my drivers license and sent it to the number that texted me. Then I realized that the text asked me to click on the link in the text to send her a photo of my driver 's license. I clicked on the link, which brought me to a page explaining how to take a photo. I clicked on " continue, '' but it didn't continue - after several minutes the page still hadn't changed. This is also very suspicious.
