Consumer Complaint: My signature was forged on a lease release agreement form. This form was sent to me by the XXXX XXXX group on XX/XX/XXXX to extend the lease beyond my intended moving out date. I was asked to sign this form many times but I declined. After I moved out, the XXXX XXXX group claimed I owed rent for an additional month. I disagreed, as I had never signed this form. They nevertheless assigned a debt collections agency ( I.C. System Inc based in XXXX XXXX MN XXXX ) to collect the supposed debt. When I requested the debt collections agency to verify the debt. they sent me the lease release agreement form. To my shock, they have forged my signature on the form with a date of XX/XX/XXXX next to my name. I can prove in multiple ways that this is not valid. For one, the signature looks nothing like mine. For another, I have email records from XX/XX/XXXX ( after the date that they falsified my signature ) from the XXXX XXXX group requesting me to sign the form.
