( a ) ( 5 ) Section States : no consumer reporting agency may make any consumer report containing any of the following items of information Any other adverse items of information, other than records of convictions crimes which antedates the report by no more than seven years. 15 USC 1681-2 ( a ) ( 1 ) A person shallot furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX a {$120.00} charge from a company/organization called " IC System '' was placed on my credit report in the collections category. I've attempted to reach out to this organization to get more information on the actual debt, but did not receive a response to any of my contacts. In addition to this, I wasn't notified of this debt prior to it being placed on my record. In XXXX of XXXX I was finally able to find the source of the debt when I submitted a dispute to XXXX. XXXX ( the internet provider ) placed a {$120.00} collections from my account that is up-to-date on payments and was just recently closed out. I reached out to XXXX in an attempt clear up the issue, but the representatives that I spoke with were unable to locate the {$120.00} charge that is supposedly owed. I am a XXXX XXXX who is already having credit troubles due to changes in my family 's financials and something like this makes it impossible to secure leading to continue my schooling. I appreciate any and all help that the CFPB can offer.

This agency is I.C. System, Inc. XXXX. I am in the process of sending a copy of my completed report with the FTC to all the credit bureaus. Notice of Dispute I.C. System, Inc. is a third party debt collector, and you are illegally attempting to collect an alleged debt in the amount of {$1500.00}. Pursuant to 15 USC 1692g ( b ) I am demanding I.C. System, Inc provide the name and address of the original creditor, and cease collection of this alleged debt. Consumer Complaint: I recently pulled my credit reports and saw multiple collections that are absolutely fraudulent and should be immediately removed from all my credit reports! this third party debt collector is violating my rights. My consumer report is inaccurate and unfairly reported. I.C. SYSTEM INC company, took information from an alleged creditor then reported this inaccurate information on my report without consulting me to confirm whether this information was accurate or not. i never received a copy of the contract between them and I and I never give my consent for them to do such things without verifying.
