Consumer Complaint: I turned this lease on XX/XX/2020. When I turned the lease in there was no payment due and all financials have been resolved when I got into my new lease. When I called GM Financial they told me that everything was all set and I did not owe them any more money. They then reported this as a 30 day late in XX/XX/2020. I don't know if this was due to me turning in the car on the last day of the month. But this was not 30 days late. GM Financial agrees that this was not 30 days late but it still shows on my credit report as a 30 day late.

Consumer Complaint: GM financial is reporting the account that I had with them inaccurately. XXXX is reporting that the account opened on XX/XX/XXXX which is a relatively minor issue as I read through my report I noticed that the date the account was last paid is documented as XX/XX/XXXX per their records mailed to me however on my credit report it reflects the dates XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX ) and XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX ) which is another inaccuracy. The terms according to our agreement is a 72 month contract however on my credit report it states that the terms are 74 months. The worst part of this inaccurate reporting is that the balance according to their record is {$8700.00} as of XX/XX/XXXX but they are reporting a balance of {$9800.00} on my credit report. Clearly this account has some issues and needs to be audited, however, as of today I simply request that they remove the account from my credit report. I have tried to resolve this issue with the credit bureau 's in which I did not receive response.

Issue: False statements or representation
Subissue: Attempted to collect wrong amount
Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern, Following on from a number of issues with GM Financial and continued deception in the collection of an outstanding balance of {$4600.00} On XXXX separate occasions they have attempted to collect incorrect amounts as follows. 1. On the XXXX of XXXX, XXXX and XXXX they requested {$1000.00} with 12 payments of this amount showing as owing in their system. 2. In XXXX they requested {$60.00} and showed XXXX payments of {$380.00} owing from the month of XXXX. 3. In XXXX they requested a payments of {$330.00} being past due and an amount of {$1900.00} owing on the XXXX ( Exhibit A attached ) I have received excessive phone calls up to twice a day everyday for weeks and left messages on a daily basis requesting payment when the account was in good standing so therefore GM Financial is attempting to collect a debt which were at the time not outstanding I have spent hours on the phone to get this corrected and they have now come up with a figure of {$180.00} of which I have already scheduled the first payment. I continue to make every effort to resolve this and GM Financial continues to request the incorrect amount. I have no issues with the correct payment of the amount however given their multiple attempts to collect more than what is owed I would like the account to be removed from my credit file. I have discussed the matter with XXXX a " Consumer Complaints Specialist '' at the GM Financial corporate office and have been unable to get a satisfactory response to multiple emails sent requesting the account be deleted. I feel GM Financial are in breach using unethical methods to collect incorrect amounts which has led to false and misleading statements and incorrect credit reporting.
