Consumer Complaint: I get repeated calls from GM Financial, but I dont have any accounts with them. I call back and they tell me they cant take me off the call list if I dont have an account. I cant understand the messages they leave because they speak in a low mumbling tone.

Consumer Complaint: I've made my payments on-time since i started this new car loan. My payment should be {$460.00} per month. I paid {$500.00} per month since my loan payments started and got a bill in the mail. The payments i made were applied to the payment plus prepaid part of the next payment. I believed GM financial operated like XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ). Where if you make a payment plus additional the extra will go to principal to provide me with the reward of seeing my loan paid down sooner. As a XXXX XXXX i understand the need for paying bills on-time and paying extra to gain equity. I called GM financial today and was told they can not accept monthly payments plus an additional principal payment at once. I am required to make the payment first in a separate transaction and then make a XXXX payment in its own transaction. Of course with the monthly payment being made first. That's what i thought was happening. I feel this is borderline financial fraud/harm. Thus creating a unofficial prepayment penalty and i'm very disappointed that GM would not reverse how they applied my payments. Asking for the payments I have made to be applied to the monthly payment due first with rest being applied to principal. The phone rep confirmed their website or app is NOT equipped to give the XXXX any control how their payments are applied and i need to remember to call in essentially one day after maknig the monthly payment if i want to make an additional principal payment. That's very dissatisfying to hear. I'm truly disappointed. This was my FIRST time doing business with GM financial. I had prior Auto loans with XXXX & XXXX XXXX in the last 15 years and NEVER experienced this when i made additional principal payment 's

Consumer Complaint: Complaint # XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX I purchased a vehicle in Michigan ( my lease was finished, and I had the option to purchase it ). The dealership didnt respond to my calls and then I called GM Financial and they stated it was done online by XXXX XXXX a part of GM Financial. I did all the paperwork online and received a copy of the Michigan application for title. And GM Financial sent all the payment info. Michigan isnt a title holding state. Purchasers receive the original title ( lien or no lien ) and you get it via the mail. In my job history, I worked for 22 years in the XXXX XXXX, so I am aware of the process. I have never received the title in the mail. This all occurred in the pandemic, so I waited. I also sent 2 emails to the Secretary of State ( SOS ) and never got responses. I called GM Financial in XXXX after I got my tab renewal and asked why I didnt get a title as I had a copy of the title application. They stated they didnt have it and to apply for a Duplicate. I paid {$15.00} and applied for a duplicate online. I still didnt receive it. Then I could finally get an appointment at the SOS. So, I went on XX/XX/XXXX in the morning. The SOS informed me that the XXXX after the validation was a special mailer ( I have attached a copy ) stating that I had authorized them to have the title sent there. She said both copies went to GM Financial in XXXX, MD. I was shocked as I didnt sign a special mailer for that to happen, nor was that ever disclosed to me. I went home on XX/XX/XXXX and called GM Financial late morning and after holding I got through and explained the situation ( spoke with XXXX ) and then was told they would transfer me to XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX-XXXX as they did the paperwork. I spoke with XXXX, who looked at it and I stated Im in Michigan and they dont hold the title, why did the SOS state a special mailer form was submitted with the title paperwork and the title was sent to GM Financial and sent to Maryland? Both the original and duplicate were sent there. After waiting patiently on hold for a long time, she apologized and stated the manager was reviewing and she would call me back and it might not be until the following day. She also stated that if the title was held in error, she would XXXX XXXX me the title if necessary. We exchanged and confirmed phone numbers. On Wednesday, at XXXX in the afternoon, I called back and asked for XXXX as I hadnt gotten a return phone call. XXXX answered the phone. I went thru it all again and he was agitated that he had to listen to all of this as I stated that Michigan isnt a title holding state and why did they send a special mailer with the title application when I didnt sign that or know about that. He stated I needed to call GM financial. I was getting upset and said I did that, and they transferred me to XXXX. He also stated that I needed to Shut Up and listen to him or he would hang up. I hung up the phone. I continue to get the same run around and no answers and I am spending hours of my time trying to resolve with no cooperation. I have great credit and I purchased the car in Michigan, I am supposed to get the original title mailed to me. As far as GM Financial holding the title that was never disclosed to me.

They have failed to even investigate or send me correspondence back indicating they did an investigation and what the out come was. I have no knowledge of these accounts XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Original Creditor : XXXX XXXX XXXX ) XXXX ... GM FINANCIAL XXXX ... that listed on my credit report. Further more, this account can not be 100 % accurate as there are open dates they have listed on my credit report varies between the 3 bureaus. How can one account be opened on different days? I want there alleged accounts in question to be removed from my credit report immediately.

Consumer Complaint: I got divorced and my exhusband XX/XX/2019 and he was taking the car that was financed through GM Financial and was suppose to get it put in his name and take me off per the Judges orders. I took possession of the XXXX and have been continually making on time payments of {$380.00}. He was paying me {$300.00} a month to make the payment so that I could pay the loan until he got me off the loan. He stopped paying me and stopped paying child support so there was no way I could pay the payment. I notified GM Financial and they didn't seem to care. They said I was the cosigner so if XXXX ( my ex ) did not pay then I had to. They also said that it was a civil matter and they would ruin my credit unless I paid since XXXX wasnt paying. Its not fair that this is hurting my credit when he was responsible for the payments. The car got repossessed. I just want this off my credit and it should only be affecting him. This isnt fare that I'm raising our kids on no support ( he got caught by XXXX and was forced to start paying again but has recently quit his job so child support is stopping again ). There is no way I can pay his debt too. And I can't afford to hire an attorney again to take him back to court for not taking me off the loan.

Consumer Complaint: gm financial is reporting late payments on my account XXXX my account is set as auto pay. copy of confirmation of auto pay was provided to gm financial advisor. in early XXXX XXXX with the help of gm financial advisor same information was re entered and payments were made. late payments fee were removed and i was assured that account will reflect timely payments. now today ( XX/XX/2021 ) i am informed by XXXX that late payment is reported. i think it is very unfair. I take my financial obligations very seriously. I am currently leasing two XXXX XXXX. i love driving gm products. gm financial please remove negative information reported incorrectly. Many Thanks.
