Consumer Complaint: General Motors Financial is stating I have an outstanding balance. I made every payment on my lease. They put on my credit report that I owe them {$650.00}. I never received a bill. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. They adversely affected my credit without notice. I will never buy a GM product again.

Issue: Struggling to pay your loan
Subissue: Problem after you declared or threatened to declare bankruptcy
Consumer Complaint: After filing bankruptcy on XX/XX/XXXX, the GM Financial company sent letters statements that they were aware and I no longer need to pay. Same with XXXX XXXX however ... GM Financial, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX refuse to put at XXXX balance or remove off my credit reports. I personally sent letters and called the burueas and they refuse to help me back in XXXX. I hired XXXX XXXX in XXXX and they didn't get results. I sent letters on XX/XX/XXXX because I found out with my Loan Officer that this inaccurate debt is effecting my opportunity to get qualified for mortgage. Plus in the letters from GM state that I no longer owe. I personally returned vehicle back to dealership in XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. Please help me clear this false amount account that I've not been responsible for for over a year now.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: Background : purchased vehicle XX/XX/XXXX ; loan from GM Financial. Address on original lease agreement was entered ( by dealer ) incorrectly. XXXX mailed Welcome Letter with account information ( which is needed to sign up to their online site to make payment ). Address sent to had very specific need ; if not addressed correctly, mail would go undelivered. This was a brand new building that required we get our mail at the post office at times. I tried several times to obtain account information with XXXX and my car dealer ; was told each time I would get that information mailed to me. I was finally able to get the account number and register online and set up autopay. However, XXXX notified 2 credit reporting agencies of a 30 day late payment for two different months ; one was never notified. XXXX : XX/XX/XXXX - Late 30 Days XXXX : XX/XX/XXXX - Late 30 Days XXXX : XX/XX/XXXX - Unknown ( data ) I disputed this several times and was told the information was reported accurately ; however, the above information differs between credit reporting agencies and is not consistent. I attempted to resolve this with the XXXX and provided proof that the address used by XXXX was incorrect. They continued to say the reporting was accurate, ignoring any goodwill. They misstated that they used the correct address, adjusting their letters once I informed them of the correct delivery address ; they continue to maintain they used the correct address and said that nothing was returned to them as undelivered. In fact their first letter in response to my complaint had the incorrect address. XXXX made a simple clerical error, or the dealer did, and I addressed it as soon as I was aware of it but XXXX was unwilling to show any good faith in me as a customer and make a change to my credit files, something they have the absolute power to do. Since resolving the issue of the account number, my payments were made by auto payment and I sold the vehicle and the account was closed in XX/XX/XXXX. This negative mark, caused by their dealers error, has caused significant negative damage to my credit. Please note the letter from XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX shows my correct address at the time. The letter states : " Our records indicate, a Welcome Letter and first billing statement were mailed to your address of record being XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, NV XXXX. I have included copies of both documents for your review along with a copy of the Lease Agreement and account payment history. '' Also attached is the original Welcome Letter dated XX/XX/XXXX - please note the address : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, NV XXXX ( missing is the calling out " XXXX XXXX which is vital to delivery, unfortunately, but included in their letter from XX/XX/XXXX, falsely stating they sent it to the correct address. A second letter dated XX/XX/XXXX states the Welcome Letter was sent to the address on record listed on the Lease Agreement ( attached- please note the address ) ; however, the lease agreement address is incorrect, as entered by the original dealer. The letter states that " numerous attempts were also made to contact you via telephone at ( XXXX ) XXXX ; however, were unsuccessful. '' This statement is troubling because since XX/XX/XXXX, I have 2 calls from GM Financial and 1 message, and that was in response to my complaint in XXXX. Also attached is a request for assistance letter dated XX/XX/XXXX to my Congressional Representative asking to assist in the issue with mail delivery. Specifically noted : " USPS is not delivering our mail ; claims the address is unacceptable ; USPS has said they do not like that our unit number is more than 3 digits long. '' It took almost two years to have our mail delivery situation corrected. XXXX has not responded to any communications from me since XX/XX/XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: The GM FINANCIAL with account number XXXX appears to be a charge-off account with a specific balance of {$6300.00}. The information itself is already an error because a charge-off account should have NO balance. Another thing is that the account was reported twice in XXXX, XXXX and XXXX XXXX. As per FCRA, the 3 bureaus and the furnisher are to provide 100 % accuracy and they are required to give responses and supply documents to confirm the account.

Consumer Complaint: I leased a vehicle in Oklahoma from a XXXX dealership. After a period of time we moved to XXXX area. The vehicle is a 2020 XXXX XXXX ( electric vehicle ). In XXXX a recall was place for all years of the bolt due to XXXX short in the battery system causing the vehicle to catch fire. Their resolution was essentially turning the vehicle into a paperweight only to be driven in town and left outside. At the time I was in a corporate apartment and was told I couldn't keep the vehicle inside so I had to return it to the dealership. I processed all the paperwork correctly in a timely manner. Here we are in XXXX and its still not resolved due to their incompetence. I have bent over backwards accommodating them and now my credit has been hit and they are telling me that if I don't pay them they will repo the vehicle and turn me over to repossession even though they vehicle is in their possession. I'm am at my whits end and my credit is suffering for a vehicle that I can not drive. I have since purchased another vehicle and can/should not be responsible for a manufacture defected vehicle.

Issue: Getting a loan or lease
Subissue: Changes in terms mid-deal or after closing
Consumer Complaint: GM Financial ( Americredit ) approved me for an auto loan through a dealership and I traded in my other vehicle, signed and drove home with my new ( used ) vehicle. Before signing all the paperwork, they had me submit drivers license, property bill, insurance, last 2 paystubs. About 2 days after buying the new vehicle, I started getting harassing phone calls from a number in Arizona, telling me they were trying to contact my company and verify employment. This feels like it was not an issue for me, so I simply told them to call the number for our HR that is on the paystub and they can verify like everyone else. They didn't like that it's during COVID and that nobody is in the offices, so they continued to harass me with other requests, including asking for company private information that could end up with my termination for disclosing " private '' information. They then claimed that they reached someone in HR, but the person who verifies employment isn't in the office and they don't know when they'd be back. Instead of waiting, or taking my paystubs and tax records as proof of employment, they demanded 2 new paystubs and 3 months of bank records that showed the deposits coming in. Once I provided those, that was no longer " good enough '' for them and now they are insisting on a conference call with XXXX XXXX ( waisting even more of my time ) to verify the deposits were actually made? This seems incredibly strange since it's almost impossible to fake something like this, but also since I've already been approved and finalized all my paperwork. I don't know of a solution, but this is like nothing I have ever seen, heard of or experienced in my entire life.
