Consumer Complaint: I XXXX XXXX entered into a consumer credit transaction with GM FINANCIAL on XX/XX/2017. A consumer credit transaction in which a finance charge was involved. 15 USC 1605 defines a finance charge as the sum of all charges in a consumer credit transaction. Consumer Complaint: Regarding GM FINANCIAL Account Number XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX 36 Month Lease @ {$440.00} per month. Vehicle was leased on XX/XX/XXXX thru XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX FL XXXX. After the lease term expired, I accepted two monthly extensions for which I paid {$440.00} each month. Unable to arrange for an agreeable lease on a new vehicle, I exercised my lease purchase option and forwarded the amount stipulated in the underlying lease document {$21000.00} to GM Financial Leasing ( my check # XXXX dated XXXX, XXXX ) at the address furnished in their related letter dated XX/XX/XXXX which is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX TX XXXX. I enclosed the required odometer notice and statement and requested that the title be released to Virginia XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX. I also enclosed a prepaid FedEx return envelope in the hope of expediting handling of the transaction. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received XXXX XXXX check for {$21000.00} with absolutely no cover letter or explanation whatsoever! In response to my telephone inquiry, I am informed that I must go to XXXX XXXX and payoff the lease! Of course, the dealership can then send the payoff back to GM Financial! In order to accommodate this FRAUDULENT CHARADE, I was forced to pay XXXX XXXX {$590.00} captioned as Predelivery Service Charge! Please note that the dealership did not have possession of my vehicle and simply filed out a vehicle buyers order and applied to the XXXX of Florida for issuance of a title which was subsequently issued on XX/XX/XXXX. Obviously, GM Financial orchestrates this scam in order enrich their dealer partners while simultaneously abrogating their responsibilities to their lessees! I ask for a thorough investigation into this matter which is symptomatic of a widespread fraudulent scheme against the public!

Consumer Complaint: In 2020 I struggled to make payments due to covid and I reached out to GM asking them for a deferment and they still reported my account late even though it's been paid off. I would ask if you could please honor my request since the late history is incorrectly reporting on my credit and really hurting my credit.

Consumer Complaint: I bought a XXXX pre-owned XXXX XXXX from this dealership on XX/XX/XXXX. I traded in a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX with equity against the purchase. This was deal : XXXX. I took out a loan from GM Financial for {$18000.00} ( account # : XXXX ) to pay for the XXXX. I took it home and left the XXXX with the dealership. On XX/XX/XXXX we found out that XXXX XXXX XXXX was not going to accept the payoff from XXXX and give them the title to the XXXX. I notified my sales consultant, XXXX XXXX and his XXXX XXXX XXXX. They supposedly had gotten the ok from XXXX XXXX to do this deal, but either they never checked or were given incorrect information. So, I worked it out with XXXX to return the XXXX which I did on XX/XX/XXXX to the dealership and I took back possession of the XXXX. Sales XXXX, XXXX was present for the exchange of cars. XXXX and XXXX both told me that's all we had to do, the deal would be unwound, and, most importantly, XXXX would give GM Financial back their money, and my loan would be canceled. Today is XX/XX/XXXX and the loan is still in full effect, and the first {$310.00} payment is due on XX/XX/XXXX. I have had numerous calls and texts with XXXX who claims this will be fixed, and I won't have to pay on the loan of a car I don't have. But after 3 weeks of time and promises, and I still have the loan and the looming payment. GM Financial says they have no information from the dealership that this loan is to be canceled. I'm unable to get any further with the dealership, so that's why I'm making this complaint. There's no reason I can see or that they can explain to me as to why I can't be relieved of this loan. I just keep getting unfulfilled promises that it will be fixed, and now I'm just being ignored or given incorrect information.

Consumer Complaint: GM Financial has consistently reported my account as late ( 30 and 60 days ) late. I have NEVER been late 30 days or more with GM Financial. I looked at my payment history on XX/XX/XXXX and verified this. I have tried to rectify this with GM Financial and they delete the trade line, only insert it back on my credit repots again with new 30 day lates. XXXX also is not any help. Every time that I submit a complaint to the CFPB, XXXX states that they can't respond to the complaint because it involves something that we previously litigated. Which is not true. XXXX also refuses to allow me to dispute the trade line with GM Financial. They give no reason why, they just refuse to allow me to dispute the inaccurate information.
