Consumer Complaint: My husband and I bought a XXXX through gm financial ( Americredit financial services ) in XXXX XXXX. We had been able to make the payments on time up until I was forced into early XXXX in XXXX. We missed XXXX and XXXX payment. We had looked into deferment and we were shocked to find that they were going to charge up almost XXXX dollars to catch our loan up. They have not been willing to help any other way. Rather than trying to help us get our loan current, they are calling us a total of up to 10 times a day between the two of us. They are making it almost impossible to catch up our payments and I am almost afraid to carry my phone on me because they are always calling me. I would strongly advise that their collection policies and deferment policies be investigated. This is not legal.

Consumer Complaint: I had purchased a vehicle earlier in 2016. I traded in the vehicle later in the year. The company with whom I conducted the trade with made a very big mistake with the pay out and did not put the proper VIN number to the payout check. Months had passed before the mistake was caught and all the while the company with whom I was receiving the vehicle loan was marking me for non-payment, while i was already paying on the newer vehicle. They reported my account as a delinquent account. When the mistake was finally caught and the payout became successful it was clear that the reason for the delinquent account was of no fault of my own but caused from a human error coming from the car sales company.

Consumer Complaint: I had auto loan with GM Financial whom picked up the car from the storage without contacting me because the adjuster left the car at the storage. From the time they picked up the car, their reinstatement department never answer their calls, I left tons of voice messages trying to resolve the problem but they never returned ANY of my calls. next they sent me a letter of repossession asking me to pay for the cost of getting the car from the storage but long before that, I was able to get another adjuster who placed a 3-way call and accepted responsibility and stated that my insurance will pay the loan company all their expenses. After sending the repair check and estimate to my loan company, I was able to speak to a lady who gave me 2 options either GM Financial repairs my car or I can pick a body shop of my choice to repair the car. I told her that GM Financial should do the repair. 2-3 weeks later, they sent me a letter requesting the information of my body shop. I fax and sent them certified mail requesting explanations and made them aware that I personally do not see any genuinity with the way they are doing business with me. Next I know they sent me a bill for {$8.00}, XXXX stating that they have auctioned the 2008 XXXX. Till date no calls or mails was returned.

Consumer Complaint: Our vehicle was reposed by GM Financial after we traded it into a dealer ship for a new vehicle. Before we could get the vehicle back it was sold at auction. The account was turned into a Charge off on our credit that shows we owe a balance and a payment each month, it was then given to a third party to collect the remaining balance. A judgement was then filed for this vehicle. My credit is now being hit twice each month, once for the Charge off with the balance and payment reflecting each month and the judgement showing a balance each month. We are paying our payment arrangements with the third party as we can no longer make a payment to GM Financial as they gave our loan to a third party.
