Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, 2016 I went into XXXX XXXX XXXX with a pre-approval letter from XXXX XXXX and test drove a XXXX XXXX. The Manager XXXX XXXX requested an Unauthorized credit inquiry with out my knowledge or consent and my credit was ran 9 times. I realized this had been done once I got home and received a email from XXXX XXXX monitoring alerts. The next day I went back into the dealership and asked to speak with the General Manager XXXX XXXX. I explained what happened and she wrote a letter to the Finance Companies and the Credit Bureau requesting the inquiries be removed on XXXX XXXX XXXX 's behalf. Unfortunately, as of today NONE have been removed. Since then I 've called, faxed, sent certified letters that XXXX XXXX drafted and wrote to each finance company as well as the credit bureau requesting each inquiry be removed. NOTHING has been removed a year later. I 'm in the process of purchasing my first home and these XXXX inquiries are hurting my credit score tremendously and is affecting the finance rate I need and deserve. I should not be penalized for something that I did n't request. The company has asked that they be removed and so have I.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: Account : GM Financial # XXXX ( {$370.00} per month ) XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX reflects 30 instead of OK. Dispute Letter Mailed to XXXX, XXXX and XXXX : Dispute Statement - The payment reporting for this account is completely inaccurate. My credit file currently reflects that I missed payments or made a payment greater than 30 days late to GM Financial for all of the following months : XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I did make payments on time and in full on all of those months, I did not make the payments past 30 days from the due date. Please update/correct this information on my credit file as soon as possible to reflect accurate payments made on time for all of those months. I have disputed the inaccuracy of this account reporting for those months multiple times with all three credit bureaus and its causing a significant affliction on my overall credit status and financial options, causing hardship on education plans for my son and other life needs. Supporting Documentation Provided to XXXX, XXXX and XXXX by Mail : Enclosed a copy of my Checking Account Transaction History Report, which verifies that I did make the monthly payments for all of those months and payments were made in the amounts of {$380.00} or above, which is higher than the minimum monthly payment required and also paid within 30 days from the monthly bill due date.

Issue: Struggling to pay your loan
Subissue: Loan balance remaining after the vehicle is repossessed and sold
Consumer Complaint: The vehicle I was financing through GM Financial was repossessed by the loan company in XXXX, XXXX. A payment was en route to their office via USPS at the time. The repossession happened at my apartment building, which is private property. The next document I received from GM Financial was to inform me that the vehicle had been resold and that I owed the remaining balance. I did not receive any chance beforehand to make arrangements to get my vehicle back. I also did not receive the notice of resale, which would have informed me of when and where the resale was to take place ( either public or private auction ). Prior to the repossession, GM Financial frequently called me at my place of work after I instructed them not to. They also made harrassing phonecalls several times a day if a payment was past due by only a few days.
