Consumer Complaint: I have had a auto loan through GM Financial for 4 years one payment was made late during that time. InXX/XX/2016 the company pulled several payments out of my bank account at once. Three payments to be exact. They took out the current month and two additional months payments. My bank pulled back the funds and investigated, They found GM Financial to be at fault. In the meantime the company repossesed my vehicle. It cost me a large amount with towing fees and storage fees and additional fees from GM Financial I got my vehicle back. Several thing were broken in my truck from the tow company. After all this they apologized I thought I will do my best to get out of the loan and away from this financial company. Now they have listed numerous late payment that were not there before and they are not reporting to any credit agency any payments or correct balances on my loan. ( Not reporting on anyones loans ). I recently went to purchase a new vehicle and was unable to. This company has me hostage. I called again today and was told there is nothing that can be done and they will not be reporting anytime soon. What are my options.

Consumer Complaint: I had a loan with GM Financial that was paid off on XX/XX/2018. After countless attempts and hours on the phone to get a copy of my statement history, I feel that there was misapplied payments on my account causing multiple late reporting 's. I had spoken with GM multiple times and the statement history seems off to me. Unfortunately, I don't have any documentation showing the way my payments were made as I used multiple payment options. The issue that I currently have is that the account has been paid off for nearly four months now and all three credit bureaus still have it reporting late with a balance.

Consumer Complaint: I have a loan with GM FINANCIAL. I have always made my payments on time. For some reason I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record with this company. I tried contacting both XXXX and GM FINANCIAL with no successful resolution. XXXX only reporting me late. There was definitely an error on their part. I was never 30 days late XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX GM Financial sent me a late notice on my lease account for XX/XX/XXXX. When I called GM support I was informed over the phone that my auto-pay, which was set up by the GM dealership from day 1, was removed from the system in error due to a system update. GM removed our late fee but reported a late on our credit report. We are in the process of purchasing a house and this late has caused our mortgage rate to increase which will cost us nearly {$200.00} per month more than the estimate prior to the late report. This is the one and only late report on our credit history. GM Financial has not been willing to help resolve this issue with our mortgage lender to correct our credit score to have our rate fixed. I have spoken with multiple managers at GM financial who are unwilling to do what is being asked by my mortgage lender to resolve this issue. They are also unwilling to escalate this issue within GM.

Consumer Complaint: My auto loan is with GM Financial. In XXXX, i applied to get a new car. I was told that my account with GM was showing past due. I had often waited until after the time due date to pay, but never past 30 days. So, i did have late fees on my account. I paid them that month and made my payment on the due date. In XXXX, i reapplied and they again told me it was past due. I looked at my credit report, and sure enough, my balance was showing {$4000.00} higher than what it actually was. They showed my XX/XX/XXXX payment as 30 days late, then hasnt reported anything since. I contacted them and they said thousands of people had been affected by some time of software glitch, where they had reported past due payments in XXXX. So, they shut the system down and hasnt reported anything since. In XX/XX/XXXX when i called, they said they had pulled the system back up and it should be updating correctly. I just looked again and 3 weeks later, still the same thing. I XXXX this problem and saw hundreds of consumers having the exact same issue. This is preventing people from getting new vehicles, getting homes, affecting interest rates. And GM doesnt seem in a hurry to address the issue. I read back to XX/XX/XXXX where theyd been told the same thing I was told in XXXX ... the system would be back to reporting correctly. And still nothing.

Consumer Complaint: Auto Dealer Fraud. Buying a car can be a fun and exciting experience. ... Auto dealer fraud describes deceptive and unlawful practices used by automobile dealers. This type of fraud can occur at any stage of the vehicle purchase process, from advertising to negotiation of vehicle pricing and financing terms. Under Missouri state law I have a right to bring civil action against anyone, including a consumer credit reporting agency, who improperly obtains access to a file, knowingly misuses file data, or fails to correct inaccurate file data. I applied for auto loan and specifically repeated no personal guarantee or Id wait until business credit was better. Dealer somehow got my personal SSN even though I have not provided them with a application in the last 30 days. Salesmen cursing at me, being rude. Using threatening and harrassing demeanor. This is dealer fraud, and identity theft.

Consumer Complaint: I was shocked when reviewing my credit report and found late payments on the dates below : 30 days late as of XX/XX/XXXX 30 days late as of XX/XX/XXXX 60 days late as of XX/XX/XXXX 30 days late as of XX/XX/XXXX 30 days late as of XX/XX/XXXX 60 days late as of XX/XX/XXXX 60 days late as of XX/XX/XXXX 60 days late as of XX/XX/XXXX I am attaching the payment report that GM sent me showing the XX/XX/XXXX payment was made on XX/XX/XXXX which was only 18 days late. I have verified this with your call center staff. I have asked that this be corrected on my credit bureaus and it remains incorrect. Furthermore, on XX/XX/XXXX, I called and asked for a deferment. I made a payment of {$800.00} and was told that the deferment was good to extend the loan by two months and that I was now current and told that my next payment would be due XX/XX/XXXX. I paid some other things with the money I would have used for GM payments because I was told I had a deferment. I made a half payment for XX/XX/XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$400.00} and another half payment in the amount of {$390.00} on XX/XX/XXXX which I believed to take care of the XX/XX/XXXX payment. I then paid what I thought was my XX/XX/XXXX payment on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$800.00}, XX/XX/XXXX payment on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$800.00}, XX/XX/XXXX payment on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$800.00}, XX/XX/XXXX payment on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$800.00}, XX/XX/XXXX payment on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$800.00}, and XX/XX/XXXX payment on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$800.00}. When I looked at my credit report on XX/XX/XXXX, I was shocked to see late payments reporting from GM. I immediately called and complained and made a double payment in the amount of {$1600.00} on XX/XX/XXXX in order to bring the account current according to your records even though I believed it to already be current because of the previously offered deferment. I was promised a deferment on XX/XX/XXXX when I called and spoke with your staff. I was not given the deferment that I was promised causing serious damage to my credit rating.

Issue: Problems at the end of the loan or lease
Subissue: Excess mileage, damage, or wear fees, or other problem after the lease is finished
Consumer Complaint: The issue is with GM Financial. The lease on my XXXX XXXX XXXX was about to expire, I had the inspection done about 3 weeks before the car was due to be handed in. The excess wear and tear items were : 1. Damaged Car Emblem 2. Missing charger 3. Missing spare key 4. One tire with too low tread. Total : over {$850.00}. I figured I had 3 weeks to clear these up. So. 1. Emblem was just covered in plasti dip, so I removed it. 2. The charger was at home, the inspection was done at work. 3. The spare key was at home, the inspection was done at work. 4. Got the tire replaced with a used that had more tread. I returned the car to the dealer, who had no issues, they checked the spare key and charger, both of which I supplied to them Today, I got a letter from GM Financial, requesting the full amount. I called them and they were not interested to hear that I turned everything in, and insisted it was my job to prove it all. I don't have the car anymore, I turned it in about a month ago. The guy who did the inspection said that I would be fine and just make sure I return the charger and key when I give the car back. This is clearly a rip off. I even washed the car before giving it back.
