Consumer Complaint: Dear CFPB, I checked on my XXXX credit report and account breakdown on XXXX and it shows I have 6 hard inquiries, 3 of them that come from the same product ( car lease ). 2 of them are from GM Financial ( made with 3 days of difference ) and the 3rd one comes from XXXX XXXX XXXX the dealer from which I leased my current car ). I'm kindly asking for them to reconsider these hard inquiries since 2 of them were done on the same day ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and then on the XXXX they made another one. In the end I got my car lease approved, but I think it should only take 1 hard inquiry for that, not 3. Therefore, I consider it unfair to have 2 additional inquiries on something I actually ended up getting approved.

Issue: Problems at the end of the loan or lease

Subissue: Problem while selling or giving up the vehicle

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I purchased a XXXX Buick Regal that was financed through GM Financial. The following week, my dealership filed Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy ; hence this caused a delay to obtain the title to register my car. I began to speak to GM headquarters starting on XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ext. XXXX ), GM Headquarters said they couldnt assist because the dealership was locally owned and operated. XX/XX/XXXX I called GM Financial to check the status of my loan. I was told the funding manager would not fund the loan until the title was transferred and the taxes were paid. My loan included the taxes and all dealership funds were tied up in the bankruptcy, so the dealership was unable to pay the taxes. I personally never seen the title work but confirmed with my dealership they had it as of XX/XX/XXXX. When I began to work with the Missouri Attorney Generals office, I was put in touch with the dealerships floor financer ( XX/XX/XXXX ). XXXX was willing to pay the taxes and any warranties, to close my deal. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called GM Financial Funding dept. I spoke to XXXX and found that GM Financial returned my loan papers back to the dealership on XX/XX/XXXX and my loan was never completed in their system. On XX/XX/XXXX, ( I spoke to XXXX a funding manager ) I requested a letter for my records from GM financial to state the status of my loan and to be grandfathered into a new loan with another dealership and was told they would not send the letter and they would not be able to help with a new loan that it is handled by dealerships only. ( He referred me to XXXX XXXX XXXX ) Both XXXX and myself left separate messages for XXXX XXXX at GM Financial and I was not provided a call back. My complaint is that I was discriminated by GM Financial for my dealership filing bankruptcy. I have an almost perfect credit score and should not have any issues with obtaining a loan. I didnt file chapter XXXX bankruptcy so why was I denied the loan without notice. On XX/XX/XXXX, the dealership closed their doors as ordered by the Bankruptcy court according the Attorney Generals office. The loan was originally for 0 % interest with a 72 month term. I was denied a discount for purchasing a new GM/Buick automobile for my troubles ( per the GM Headquarters speaking on behalf of the GM rep that covered my dealerships division ). GM Financial caused additional ciaos by not funding my loan since my taxes were rolled into the loan.

Issue: Struggling to pay your loan

Subissue: Denied request to lower payments

Consumer Complaint: On or about XX/XX/XXXX I contacted GM Financial to seek a lower monthly payment. The customer rep I spoke with put me on hold after looking over my account and told me that she would be asking her supervisor about a rewrite for my loan. She explained it to me and rotated my account and said she would forward this for review for approval. When a few days went by I called GM back and explained the situation and that no one had called me back concerning the rewrite I was pushed through to XXXX XXXX and he informed me that I was approved for the rewrite and after I made a payment for XXXX that was late my account would be current and the paperwork for the rewrite would be emailed to me and I would then have to sign and mail them back. XXXX went over the terms and payment amount which were great and I was very happy : 8 % interest monthly payment of {$400.00} and term of 12 months added to my current loan. I said I would take it as it lowered my payment {$160.00} dollars. My husband and I have been struggling with the payment over the years due to his layoffs. I had looked into refinancing but nothing worked out. On XX/XX/2018 I got a call back from XXXX whom I had to call the day before to ask where the papers .I need to sign were since they were not emailed to me ... he told me that now I am denied the rewrite. GM is denying all rewrites until further notice. How can they go back on their word? This information was documented that I was approved. They lied and were deceiving to me and my husband and gave false information I doubt they were going to even do the rewrite at all. I was a month behind on loan payment and called them seeking a solution to high payment due to hardship not wanting to voluntarily have car repossessed as last resort and they gave me hope made me believe that I would get paperwork to sign and have to send back before XXXX payment was due so that I would get the lower payment to start for next payment. I was waiting to do all that prepared to pay for documents to mail back to them quicker only to have been lied to. I'm stuck now with not knowing what else I could do.

Issue: Can't contact lender or servicer

Subissue:

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, the car was in the shop for over 40 days getting the faulty motor replaced. In XX/XX/XXXX it was " Presumed '' a Lemon and GM on XX/XX/XXXX offered a Collateral Trade. This trade was contingent upon getting my lender to agree to the trade. Since that time I have called GM Financial on many occasions, explaining what I needed. They would note my account pass me on to various department and no further action would be taken. Occasionally I would get someone who had some idea of what department could help me, and I would hold for long periods of time just to hit a dead end. Someone would give me another phone number to call which just got me to the same main line. In XX/XX/XXXX of this year, my Dealer Rep. XXXX XXXX of XXXX XXXX received instruction from GM Financial to complete a collateral trade info packet and fax it to them. After faxing it two different time, we had confirmation that the package was received and they would contact me when they were ready to move forward. After numerous emails to XXXX XXXX in Loss Mitigation, XXXX responded on XX/XX/XXXX and said she could initiate the dealer exchange process, as long as I understood that they would NOT issue any funds for the exchange, which I agreed that I did not expect them to do that. On XX/XX/XXXX my attorney who is representing me for the Lemon Law negotiation submitted a Letter of Representation to GM Financial per their request before they would talk to him. Following that GM Financial will not talk to me since I have representation, however they also are returning calls to my attorney and we are unable to get any status updates or answers. General Motors has now closed my claim due to no action and my attorney is indicating he can't complete the transaction he negotiated because my lender is non responsive, but he needs to be paid since the attorney fees due to him were built into the lemon law case. The dealership and my attorney have provided GM Financial with all the requested documentation that they have been asked for in a very timely manner, then told that they would initiate the trade approval, and since then nothing, which could now cost me thousands of dollars in attorney fees because my lender refuses to give approval on what is obviously a good deal for my loan. A XXXX XXXX clearly holds a higher value than a XXXX XXXX with XXXX miles on it.

The loan is showing it's still in delinquent status and causing my scores to drop 11+ points each month due to this issue.
