Consumer Complaint: I traded in my car on XX/XX/XXXX. The dealer got a 10-day payoff. GM Financial also pulled another auto payment on XX/XX/XXXX, three days after the car was traded. This resulted in a {$1300.00} overpayment. GM Financial received the payment from the dealer and the car was paid off a few days after my payment was pulled. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called and requested that a refund be issued or that the overpayment be applied to my new loan. How long can they hold my money before issuing the refund or applying the funds? I was told they hold it 30 days unless I go to the dealer and have them send a copy of the front and back of the cancelled check and send them my bank statement showing the funds have cleared. My payment was an ACH payment initiated by them 10 days ago. They should have a way to verify it has cleared with having access to my personal banking information. I also am frustrated they have to mail a paper check when I have never paid them in that manner. Overall, I feel like this is a stalling technique even though my payments to them have always been on time. Even if they didn't want to refund it right away, why couldn't they simply apply it to my new loan? They would still have the money. Now I'm paying interest on {$1300.00} more than I should have to on that loan because they are holding my money hostage. I feel like this is an unfair trade practice because they are refusing to refund my money or apply that money to the loan for which they are collecting interest.

Consumer Complaint: GM Financial is keeping {$860.00} of my money, which the dealer sent to them in error, even though I paid the loan in full and they've sent me the letter saying so. They have approved the payment on XXXX XX/XX/2018 however failed to generate my check. They are using my money since XX/XX/2018.. They keep telling me that the check will be mailed ... Almost 2 months, no check ... I need help!!!!!

I CONTACTED GM BUT THEY HAD ALREADY MARKED MY ACCOUNT AS LATE, AFTER 30 DAYS. I HAVE HAD THIS LEASE ACCOUNT FOR GOING ON 3 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER BEEN LATE BEFORE AND ASKED COULD IT BE REMOVED AS A COURTESY AND WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD HAVE TO FILE A COMPLAINT. I THOUGHT THAT INFORMATION WAS INCORRECT SO I CALLED BACK AND THE LADY ( XXXX ) THAT I SPOKE WITH STATED THAT SHE WOULD PUT IN A REQUEST BUT THAT I ALSO HAD TO FAX OVER A LETTER. Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX Gm financial Lease I signed for 48 mos {$440.00} a month I was told they needed {$2500.00} down I traded in a car rebates ate my negative equity. Dealer tried numerous sales tactics, they also lied and told me score was lower, I put {$3500.00} on vehicle new vehicle had {$6500.00} in rebates and it was a demo so I intotal put $ XXXX down. Vehicle had numerous issues and vehicle was damaged before purchase and never disclosed! Dealer never informed me once informed the flagged me with Gm finanacial and refused to trade me out of the vehicle. They forced me to keep vehicle and blackmailed me. I was forced to pay almost XXXX for a car stickerd at XXXX. The paint peeled from their XXXX repair and the dealer and service manager purposely scheduled appts inconviently. Once I called Gm customer care to report their inappropriate behavior. They flipped the script to make me look wrong with Gm custom. Numerous attempts to repair exterior finish eluded to a vehicle that looked like it was 4 years old when its only 1 year. DEALER PURPOSLY DAMAGED MY BRAKES AFTER EVERY REPAIR. On the way home from first repair car sounded like brakes were applied without depressing pedal. The advisor informed me it may be a Rock caught in the pad and rotor? I dont drive on dirt roads or jungles! Rock was from parking lot of dealer. Numerous pads and rotors replaced in a course of 1 year. When consumer attempts to trade vehicle in credit score XXXX plus. Dealership had me drive 70 miles 1 way to come in to inform me I needed to pay {$1800.00} down to trade in for another demo with XXXX miles. Not the color or features I wanted. They stiff armed me into a vehicle lease on XX/XX/2016 on XX/XX/2016 when vehicle went to be repaired I was railroaded into resigning lease agreement only never presented with buyers order or informed what payments would be prior to signing! I paid my down payment after I signed my paperwork! They forced me to pay card on theXX/XX/XXXX but I never received paperwork! I then had to bring {$1.00} cash by XXXX XXXX to close deal and then Id get my paperwork! Never received proper paperwork! Keys missing and all! Dealer beyond disrespectful! Service manager full of balogna to be nice and descreet on voicemails but then change his Story in person. They all worked together to XXXX over a hard working individual. I tried purchasing my lease through the dealer they wouldnt let me do it. There was always a problem. The dealer wasnt helping they never offered to swap me out of s vehicle without me putting anything out of my pocket! They also inflated the payemnt so high it was ridiculous. I tried purchasing a truck theyre woukdnt let me trade. I make the money and I have the credit they Just did things out of. They reported I was late paying and I never was late! Id like all derogatory remarks removed

Consumer Complaint: I requested 6 months of payments be added to the end of my loan. at the original maturity date i paid the additional 6 payments that i was supposed to and the company still told me i owed about {$2500.00}. I advised them that this couldn't happen since i already paid the payments i placed at the end of the loan. Then after my new maturity date i did not receive any additional documentation or bills and they repossessed my car. When i contacted them they advised that the last contact was approximately XXXX when they sent a letter out. I did not receive any additional information after that so i assumed the issue was fixed, until i woke up and my car was repossessed. I contacted them immediately and they advised me now my balance to get my car back went from {$2500.00}, to almost {$3000.00}. This was a huge financial impact as my credit report wasn't even showing i was behind on any payments at the end of my loan but yet they went and sent my car for repossession.

So in XX/XX/XXXX, I paid for 2 months, for XXXX and for XXXX. Again, my XXXX XXXX statement will show this. Since XXXX, I have been paying directly from my XXXX XXXX account. Again, proof attached. I told them XXXX XXXX referred me to XXXX to get confirmation number of the transaction and that is what I provided in the email I sent to them. 6. Both representative kept on insisting that I give them confirmation number when I already provided it in the email with the attachments. 7. I also told them that actually I found out yesterday that GM Financial, owes me ONE MONTH BECAUSE I SAW ON MY BANK ACCOUNT YESTERDAY THAT THEY NEVER CREDITED ONE MONTH EXTRA PAYMENT I MADE IN XX/XX/XXXX. All of a sudden they have my incorrect cellphone number when I told them that I use a cellphone and that I am pretty sure that I can prove there were no incoming calls from them since they were insisting that they attempted to contact me. I do not feel that they want to resolve this issue. They even asked me who I talked to in XXXX and what the phone number was. I gave it to them. Then I asked them why won't they call XXXX. Consumer Complaint: I returned the lease vehicle to the dealership on XX/XX/18 and received a vehicle return receipt ( attached ). GM Financial did not properly input the return into their internal system resulting in an inaccurate reporting of delinquency on my credit report. I've contacted them numerous times and am being told the error is being corrected and delinquency remarks are being reversed. The company is taking an excess amount of time to correct my report ( more than 60 days ) resulting in penalties to my credit score and open trade lines both being reduced. I believe this is a violation of the FCRA and am at the point of taking legal actions.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 at XXXX GM Finanacial repossessed my car saying im 3 months behind on payments, well 2 months and 6 days to be exact. My payments a month are {$310.00} they have given me until tomorrow morning to pay {$1600.00} to get it back or its going to be sold at auction. Thing is i always have paid by check from my bank account which i have ALL statements showing im only 6 days behind on XX/XX/2018 payment. Their monthly statements are NEVER right when i make a payment instead of it being taken off balance and reduced its like they add that amount to whats owed and the total EVERY month rises instead of reduceing. Even w proof they refuse to give me my car back even though it was an illegal repossession. Even if i was 3 months behind that total owed would only add up to be {$930.00} but yet they r demanding a {$1600.00} payment or i cant have my car back. Thats an extra {$660.00} for what is my question which of course they have NO answer for. So i have contacted a lawyer and i am sueing them over this. U might also want to go to their website Gm Finanaical.com check out tbeir complaint section, they have 801 complaints 554 of which are over financial or payments from that many more customers going threw same thing with same problem. Someone there is pocketing all this money that keeps disappearing or never arrives. Oh and evrytime you call these people u are only allowed to speak with a CSR the supervisor is NEVER in or available. Plus i have been completely harrased by these people they literally call my house 4 to 5 times daily for the last 5 yrs over this car payment. That itself is against the law not to mention i draw XXXX and i am a very sick women and this is absolutely ridiculous to have to deal with this on a daily basis and be treated like something lower than a dog by these people. They are rude and completely unhelpful. Something needs to be done a business of ANY KIND should not be allowed to harrase people or treat people this way ....
