Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I returned my XXXX leased vehicle to my XXXX dealer. The lease was financed through GM Financial. As part of the agreement to re-lease a newer vehicle, the dealer took care of the negligible mileage overage and it was a clean return. This was confirmed by GM Financial on multiple occasions, both in writing and later by phone. In XX/XX/XXXX I received a phone message from an unidentified caller asking me to call back, never saying who they were with or the nature of the call. I believed it to be a spam/scam call. When I received the call again in XX/XX/XXXX, I did return the call to find out it was GM Financial. Note : I have two current leases with GM Financial and have never been late on any of them. Initially, the representative could not determine why their system had prompted them to contact me, as my accounts showed current. Upon further investigation they showed a $ XXXX remaining balance on my RETURNED lease account but indicated that it should have previously been removed from the account and apologized for their oversight. It should also be noted that at NO time has GM Financial sent me anything indicating that I owed anything on the returned lease. On the phone, they indicated that the {$5.00} charge was due to an error on their end. I was assured it would be corrected. It was not until I inquired further, that it was revealed to me that our account ( my husband is co-owner ) had also been negatively flagged as late for the past several months and reported to the credit reporting agencies. I was assured at the time that the account would be cleared up preventing further negative ratings and that the erroneous negative delinquencies would be corrected. To date, I do not believe this has occurred and am unable to get resolution through GM Financial. I received another unidentified caller message again today. So I can assume they are once again calling because it still shows " late '' in the system. Our previously excellent credit rating has dropped considerably. We have had long-existing credit cards which have lowered our limit due to our negative rating.

Consumer Complaint: We are writing this letter to dispute a delinquent payment reported for XX/XX/2018 under our GM Financial account. Our account was set up for autopay and we were unaware that the autopay had an expiration date. According to customer service, the autopay ended XX/XX/2018 so our XX/XX/2018 payment was delinquent. We use autopay for many accounts and the autopay is usually continuous for the life of the loan/account. We explained to their customer service department that we didnt receive any notices that our autopay was going to be ending soon or that it needed to be renewed. They said that they dont provide these types of notifications because it is the customer who sets up the autopay. We also explained to their customer service department that we never received any phone calls that we were past due on any payments. They explained that the collections department tried to contact one of the numbers on file and was told not to call that number again. On further review of the loan application, it appears they reached out to my husbands HR department at work which he placed on the lease application to verify employment. They said that eventhough they didnt try to reach out to our cellphones, they are not required to even call us. The call they made to my husbands HR department was just a courtesy call. We would like to file a complaint against GM Financial as we do not feel GM Financial notified us appropriately before reporting a delinquency to the credit agencies. We feel that GM Financial should have either notified us that our autopay would be ending soon or that the autopay had ended. We also feel that GM financial should have called our cellphones not our HR department to reach us.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I returned the leased car to the XXXX dealership in XXXX XXXX, CA as it was the last day of my lease. I even called the GM Financial to let them know that I have returned the car as I was required to do so. Fast forward, on XX/XX/XXXX I received an update notification from XXXX in regards to my credit report. After checking the report, I realized the false delinquency report generated from the GM Financial. Then, I checked my GM Financial account online to surprisingly/shockingly find out that I've been charged monthly beyond the official end of contract which was XX/XX/XXXX. After numerous ( I mean numerous ) calls and emails to GM Financial and lots of stress and being provided with lots of different information and department transfers and on multiple occasions being held on a long hold and then being hung up on. After nearly more than two weeks GM got rid of my false reported balance of more {$500.00}. Then They promised me to also fix the wrong report to XXXX and XXXX. Which they never delivered and they ultimately asked me to do that, too!!!! 1. I did file a dispute with both XXXX and XXXX and they both denied my dispute! I don't even think they did anything to fix my report and to help me. This is very scary and disappointing and it causes me to think that why these companies should have so much power and influence on my life, yet they are unorganized and very poorly run. 2. I have reach out to GM Financial again, because once again there is an automatic monthly charge for me! and also I have asked them to do whatever they have to do to fix my credit report. I haven't heard from them. 3. Why leasing a car and returning a lease car should be like this and create so much stress and financial disasters for me ( I can't show my credit any where anymore and I have gotten a rejection for rentals, etc ... ). now after all these events, where is the justice, why should GM not get penalized for this? ( I know that I would easily be penalized, punished or even send to jail if I fail to pay a wear and tear ) this is not fair. Please help me, you are my last resort ( I even called attorney and nobody takes my case, because there is no money in it, this is a shame ). Thank you

Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern, My name is XXXX XXXX, and I have a serious complaint against GM Financial. My GM Account Number is XXXX. This complaint begins with the derogatory credit reporting of my XX/XX/2019 payment. I scheduled a payment on or around the XX/XX/2019. I called GM Financial between the timeframes of XXXX XXXX-XX/XX/2019, and there was no indication that there was a problem with the processing of the XX/XX/2019 payment. I received a called from GM Financial 's automated system on Monday the XX/XX/2019. I immediately returned the call. I reached a representative and from the beginning of the conversation the representative was clueless about the call from GM Financial. I advised the representative that I just received a call from the automated system. After a few minutes, the representative asked about the two payments that were past due. I advised the representative that I received a confirmation email that XXXX 's payment is confirmed. Letter from GM Financial was emailed to me on the XX/XX/2019 which provided Confirmation # XXXX dated XX/XX/2019. The letter even stated that no further action is required regarding this payment. There was no indication from GM Financial at the timeframes that I called indicating that there was a problem with processing XXXX 's payment. When I called, the representative advised me that the checking account number entered was incorrect. I entered the correct checking account number. There was no information from XXXX XXXX stating account number was incorrect. I did reach out to XXXX, but I did not feel that it was their error because I received a confirmation of payment received. I want my credit reporting corrected for the month of XX/XX/2019 because I made the payment on time. The support of my honesty is that I made the payment as soon as I arrived home on the XX/XX/2019. Additionally, when I called to make the payment by phone before the XX/XX/2019, there is no specific information that was given in regards to charges for the online payment. I was advised at different times previously before this situation that there was a charge for web payments, and there is a charge via the automated system. The payment that was processed for me on the XX/XX/2019 was no charge. I used my debit card for this payment. Now if I would have known that there would be no charge for the online payment via debit card, this situation would not have happened I am looking forward to hearing from you in regards to the correction of my derogatory credit reporting for XX/XX/2019 by GM Financial. Consumer Complaint: I had leased a XXXX XXXX XXXX from GM Finance. I returned the car at the end of the lease period XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ). I made ALL OF MY LEASE PAYMENTS ON TIME during the lease period. There was NO PAYMENT DUE when I turned in the car. My GM Finance account, however, continues to remain open and I continue to get billed every month, even after the car has been returned and I no longer own the car. I verified with the dealership where I returned the car - they did send my car return paperwork to GM Finance. They even resent it in my presence. Since I have not been paying these post-car-return " bills '' which are accruing for no reason, my account is now wrongly deemed DELINQUENT. If that was not bad enough, GM Finance has reported my account to the Credit Agencies as DELINQUENT!! The above has negatively impacted my CREDIT SCORE and has affected my ability to get mortgage for a house I am in the market to purchase. I have called GM Finance Customer Service NUMEROUS TIMES. Additionally, I have submitted complaints from the GM FINANCE Website and through Customer Service emails. I have also asked for help through GM FINANCE XXXX page. The Customer Service Agents I talk to one the phone seem powerless to do anything and " we will forward your case to the right department '' is the stock answer. Emails to customer service and complains submitted from GM Financial website are not responded to at all. After more than a month of trying to get my account closed, I have not been successful. The account is still open and I get warning letter from GM Finance Collections Department about supposedly " overdue '' bills. I need GM Financial to close my account and take steps to fix my credit score urgently.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a new 2019 XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, put money down gave them all my info and in XX/XX/XXXX received my first bill which I promptly paid. In XX/XX/XXXX I got a call that my XX/XX/XXXX payment was due I said I had not received a statement and was told they would promptly send me another, I didn't. Saturday the XX/XX/XXXX received another call saying I am now 2 months in arears I explain I haven't. received a statement for XX/XX/XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX I say send me a statement then they say first I must pay the 2 months owed, I say send me a statement and I will, they say no send a payment today. We discuss that point for a while then I inquire why am I not getting the statements, they list the address they are sending and I is horrifically incorrect ( part of my name as part of the adress0, it had been correct for the first monthly bill and " somehow '' got changed. I don't know if there is any recourse but at least I want to go on record saying how rudely, incompetently, how atrociously GM finance operates. I understand that they shouldnt be allowed to put an inquiry on my file unless I have authorized it. Please have this inquiry removed from my credit file. I have sent a letter certified mail because I need a prompt response to this issue and I requested that the company forward me documentation that you have had the unauthorized inquiry removed. If you find that I am remiss, and you did have my authorization to inquire into my credit report, then please send me proof of this. The company redirected me back to CFPB.
