Consumer Complaint: I have had several leases with GM Financial. I have even worked with a GM dealer and had direct daily dealings with them. They are by far the most unorganized unprofessional auto finance/lease company that I have ever worked with, they can NOT handle the volume. One of my leases I sent 3 payments in to pay ahead. Thinking that I was paid up until XXXX they had never sent me a statement. So 3 months later I called to verify next payment due and they told me I was 30 days past due, they never called, never mailed never emailed me to let me know that they were claiming I was past due. How is a customer that had 3 current leases at one time with there company not get a phone call or a statement to let me know my {$200.00} lease payment is past due, really what a joke. They swear up and down they sent statements. I can promise they never sent me a statement nor did i get a phone call. I will never lease a GM vehicle again if I have to lease from GM Financial or there affiliate bad credit company XXXX. They should forget GM and stick with XXXX!!!

Consumer Complaint: I have a loan with GMFNANCIAL. I have always made my payments on time. For some reason I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record with this company. I tried contacting both XXXX and GMFNANCIAL with no successful resolution. XXXX only reporting me late. There was definitely an error on their part. I was never 30 days late XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Account was supposedly opened in XXXX. In XXXX I was advised that the property was seized from owner and was sold and the balance was cleared and that {$0.00} was owed for the property. Gm Financial agreed to remove collection via letter mail and via phone once payment was settled. To my knowledge payment was settled because a letter was received in the mail stating that the collection would be taken off of the credit file. It never happened. Company is falsely reporting debt that was settled years ago.

Issue: Getting a loan or lease
Subissue: Fraudulent loan
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I was called by a friend who ask me to co/sign on the auto loan referenced with the attached purchase contract. loan amount was {$42000.00} When I arrived at XXXX XXXX and met with the finance manager, I was asked for my drivers license. The finance manager saw that my drivers license and the now co/borrower had DIFFERANT addresses. We did not live together and were NOT MARRIED. ( See credit application attached ) The finance manager typed the credit application and asked both of us to sign it. Looking at the credit application now I see that the finance manager typed my address and the co/borrowers address as the same and that we were MARRIED. That was done along with XXXX ( GM FINANCIAL ) to fund the loan on the vehicle. Per GM Financials guidelines ( see attached GM financial funding conditions attached ) to fund this loan, XXXX would require the following to fund this loan : 1. ALL APPICATIONS MUST PASS STANDARD IDENTITY VERIFICATION CHECKS. PAGE # 4 ATTACHED. ( GM FINANCIAL saw that the drivers licenses did not have the same address and the t guideline BELOW would apply ) 2.RESIDENCY : PREFER A MINIMUM OF ONE-YEAR VERIFIABLE RESIDENCE HISTORY. 3. IF REQUIRED, PROVIDE POR DOCUMENTATION ( UTILITY BILL WITHIN 30 DAYS AND/OR PAY STUB WITHIN 30 DAYS ) TO SUPPORT RESIDENCE ADDRESS. # 3 Was required DUE TO DRIVERS LICENSES SHOWING DIFFERANT ADDRESSES. GM Financial did not ask for POR documentation and went against their funding guidelines knowing the Identity verification showed applicants did not reside together and addresses were different on drivers licenses. I contacted GM Financial on XX/XX/XXXX. I Explained that the co/borrower had taken the car out of the county and was not making the payments. I also explained that they did not go by GM FINANCIAL guidelines when the loan was approved and funded. they instructed me to send them a documentation package to their legal department. On XX/XX/XXXX I overnighted the package directly to GM Financial legal department. ( See attached receipt ) I was diligent and called GM Financial twice a week asking for status. Asking to speak to someone. Only being told it was in review and that the package was being transferred to the Fraud Department. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from GM Financial stating they could do nothing for me and that I would need to contact the dealership. ( See attached letter from GM Financial ) GM Financial has guidelines ( Requirements ) set to fund loans. Not only did GM financial ignore the photos ID 'S, They did not ask for ANY POR documents Proof of residency. This loan was FUNDED by GM FINANCIAL and now the co/borrower has returned the car I have never been in possession of until now. I have been stuck with a fraudulent loan and car that I can not afford or want. GM Financial will not acknowledge they ignored their guidelines to fund this loan. They will not take responsibility for funding a loan they knew required Proof of residency documentation based on the photo ID 'S provided by myself and the co/borrower.

Consumer Complaint: To my knowledge, I was never late on my GM Financial auto lease with account number XXXX. But I realized that I was reported as being past due multiple times which is not true. I have had this lease since XX/XX/2015 with no late payments and not sure why all of a sudden I was reported late. To my knowledge I have always have 100 % positive payment history and have not only tried to pay way before my due date.

Consumer Complaint: I leased a car from XXXX XXXX in XXXX and was financed through GM Financial for 3 years. I received a letter from GM saying I could end my lease early at the beginning of XXXX. I then purchased my car on XX/XX/XXXX. I wanted to stay with the same people who handled the lease for me, but they had moved to XXXX XXXX in XXXX. I asked them to handle the purchase for me and they put the loan through XXXX XXXX XXXX. I received a letter from GM Financial saying my lease loan is paid in full. The letter is dated XX/XX/XXXX. I received a balance sheet showing the check was applied on XX/XX/XXXX and I owe {$0.00}. I have a car Title in my new lenders name and I have a letter from XXXX thanking me for purchasing my car. GM Financial is putting on my credit report I owe {$2500.00}. I have spoken with XXXX XXXX who put the purchase through, XXXX XXXX, the GM of the Dealership, several people at GM Financial and an assistant to the VP of GM Financial, XXXX XXXX and she told me she would take care of it. As of XX/XX/XXXX I am still getting hits on my credit report and this has been going on since XX/XX/XXXX. I don't understand the way I have been treated. I am the customer and GM Financial acknowledges they made a mistake. Instead of taking care of this for me like I was told they would, I have been talked to horribly. I have been talked down to, my credit has been damaged, it has dropped over a 100 points and I have been lied to over and over again and for no reason. I never thought a company like GM Financial would treat a customer like this. They acknowledge the mistake, but so far have not fixed it. This has been going on since the first week of XXXX and I feel I have been more than patient. I would like this problem to be resolved, because it is damaging my reputation. XXXX XXXX told me it could take the credit companies a month or so to report the correction on their end, but GM Financial has not even stopped reporting the false accusations that I owe them money, because I received another credit alert on XX/XX/XXXX saying GM Financial put it on my report that I owe {$2500.00}. I was told from the GM at XXXX that I would be receiving a letter from XXXX XXXX saying it was taken care of. I haven't. The last time I spoke with her she said she may have forgotten to sign off on it, but she would. So far, she hasn't or GM wouldn't keep posting it to the Credit Bureaus. Please help me to get this error corrected. It is damaging my life. I don't understand this, I am the customer and all I did was purchase my car. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX - Set up auto payment for my new car lease with GM Financial. XX/XX/XXXX - Called GM Financial 's customer service since the auto payment did not go through and I had a late change. Paid the late change and had the fee waived. GM Financial 's customer service representative walked me through setting up auto payment online and provided the wrong amount ( - {$10.00} less than my actual payment ) since we was looking at the total amount with the " fee waived '' applied. XX/XX/XXXX- XX/XX/XXXX- GM Financial 's auto payment was pulling monthly payments from my account for - {$10.00} less than what was owed. With fee 's it looked like my typical amount, I did NOT receive any form of communication that this was inaccurate or that the full amount was not being paid. XX/XX/XXXX - GM Financial 's auto payment automatically disabled due to {$40.00} threshold activated for a " delinquent payment ''. XX/XX/XXXX - I was notified through my credit report that my credit report had dropped a " significant amount '' which is why they contacted me. When I inquired they said that GM Financial had listed it as delinquent. I reached out and GM Financial 's customer service told me that it was due to an error in Auto Payment feature and to file a dispute with XXXX and have them contact GM Financial where they would confirm the issue. I filed a dispute. The dispute came back and they said they do not reach out to financial institutions and that GM would have to contact them directly. I am now reaching out to CFPB in order to have this resolved since both institutions are communicate with each other to remove the delinquency. This was in error of GM Financial setting up the wrong payment amount leading to the auto payment being shut off and I do not believe it should impact my credit score. Thank you, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: -My family and I have had repeated phone calls from XXXX ( an associate of GM Financial ) associate. We have spoken with them on the phone and they leave messages. I have no relationship with them now nor have we ever had any. They are contacting us trying to contact my Brother ( XXXX XXXX ), asking does if he lives here. We have told them repeatedly that he does not reside with us. The phone number they call from is XXXX. After listening to two separate messages they left, I noticed both people obscured the last couple digits of the number they left to return the call too by speaking fast. This leads me to believe the purpose of the call is purely harassing and they know the person they are trying to contact cant be reached at the number but assume by harassing us that we will contact him. Even if I wanted to, I can not and have not had contact with my brother for several years. On XXXX XX/XX/2019, I contacted GM Financial customer service directly and informed them that I consider the phone calls harassing and requested they stop having XXXX contact us. They said they would look into it.
