Issue: Problems at the end of the loan or lease
Subissue: Unable to receive car title or other problem after the loan is paid off
Consumer Complaint: GM Financial Leasing, XXXX. XXXX XXXX, XXXX, TX, XXXX, phone number ( XXXX ) XXXX was paid off in full for what we owed under account no. XXXX for a lease on a new XXXX XXXX. They were paid in full because the car was totaled in an accident. They were owed {$17000.00} and they were paid {$20000.00}, and they were supposed to refund {$3100.00} to us. They were paid about XX/XX/2019, and said they requested that a check be sent to us for {$3100.00}. But when we did not receive the check, we called and we were told that there would be a 30 to 60 day delay in sending the check to us. They could give us no good reason for such a delay. We would like to have prompt payment of what they owe us.

Consumer Complaint: I have some late fees, that I'm well aware of, and am paying extra back on each monthly payment to catch up. GM Financial is the company, and they call EVERY DAY/ALL DAY to remind me that I owe them money, regardless of how many times I told them what days/times I work. I have clocked off of work so many times to answer their call to tell them that I am at work - when I'm off - and to call me then. However, since they call EVERY DAY, all hours, I decided to stop answering their calls and just maintain my account through the online service, as I was before any debt occured. I just want them to STOP calling. I know I owe money, hence why I'm paying extra every month, sometimes TWICE a month.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 at XXXX XXXX I received a phone call. I wasnt able to pick up the call, but saw that I received a voicemail at XXXX for 28 seconds. It was a female stating to please call back before XXXX and said to call this number ( XXXX ) XXXX. I originally called the first number I received which was ( XXXX ) XXXX. I spoke to a male agent and I provided him my social to look up my account and he asked me if the person who left a voicemail had provided an extension or account number, I said no. He checked my first account and said its in good standing and doesnt understand why I was called. He then pulled up the other account which I initially provided a court order judgement signed by a FL Judge stating that the vehicle is not my responsibility to pay, only for the other vehicle which I am still paying. The agent advised me that the second account has a legal status and therefore, they were not able to attempt to make a call in regards to that account.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I refinanced my vehicle lease # XXXX that I had with GM Financial Leasing with my Credit Union XXXX XXXX, it took 3.5 months after the check cleared for GM to release the title to the Credit union, once the title cleared I was able to turn in the vehicle tag and had the vehicle tagged and registered in my name the tags ( whihc I paid the annual cost ) were taken and I was informed that any cost would reimbursed back to GM. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a bill from the City of XXXX XXXX for XXXX property taxes owed in the amount of {$94.00} which was for XXXX-XXXX XXXX months of the tax year, I inquired prior to paying as to why I had bill as I paid GM for my property taxes ( {$560.00} - paid in XX/XX/XXXX ) and was informed that since they were no longer owner but that I was as it was no registered in my name that I had to pay the portion that the city had to reimburse back to GM for monies paid. as of date and my call again today I have not received the funds back that the city paid GM as my account is paid in full. I have called 3 time,XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and today XX/XX/XXXX each time being told that they can only e-mail the Property Department and await a response as to where the finds are and when they can be released. At this point I do not how much even GM owes me as they also may have received a refund for the unused portion of my vehicle tags and registration, and seem to hold funds. All I want to know is when those refunds from City Of XXXX XXXX and from State ( DMV ) for my unused registration are going to be released and how long they legally have to hold these funds before releasing

Consumer Complaint: I leased a new vehicle through GM Financial on XX/XX/19, at that time, the dealer paid my three remaining payments and purchased the vehicle. These payments were sent to GM Financial. As of XX/XX/19 GM Financial has not applied the payments. The dealer has called GM to resolve the issue and GM has yet to update the account. I am currently closing on a home in 3 weeks and the inaccurate information on my credit report is adversely affecting my current standing and is a threat to successfully closing my home. I reached out and chatted with XXXX iwth GM who refused to provide any information to me other than the account showed unpaid. She would not seek information from accounting, review account notes from the dealer 's conversation. So I reached out to the dealer who reached out to GM again. This time he provided a corporate contact, XXXX XXXX, to aid in resolving the matter. I called XXXX and left a voicemail but have not heard back. Given the time sensitive nature of the issue and GM 's historical difficulties with payment applications, technical glitches and inaccurate migration data, I do not feel confident this will be resolved without the aid of the CFPB.

Issue: Took or threatened to take negative or legal action
Subissue: Threatened or suggested your credit would be damaged
Consumer Complaint: I contacted GM Financial and had notified them that the XXXX XXXX vehicle was court ordered for my ex husband to pay. He failed to pay this vehicle and now its affecting my credit. I cant even get my VA home loan because GM Financial in their own words said their contract supersedes any court ordered document even though it was signed off by a judge on XX/XX/XXXX. I dont have a lawyer representing me directly on this issue, but my vehicle was brought up in the courts on my last court date and the magistrate told me that the signed court order is the best that can be done. Before I proceed to take this case any further and sue GM Financial in small claims, I suggest they look at the documents I had sent them via mail which includes a letter for the XXXX XXXX AND a copy of the court ordered document. The letter I mailed to GM Financial on XX/XX/XXXX stated : XX/XX/XXXX To whom it may concern : This letter is in reference to the XXXX XXXX XXXX currently financed with GM Financial account number XXXX. This vehicle was recently involved in a wreck and subsequently deemed to be a total loss. Per court order and judgement ( See Attached ), ownership of this vehicle was transferred solely to XXXX XXXX. I, XXXX XXXX ; previously known as XXXX XXXX, am responsible for the XXXX XXXX XXXX account number XXXX which is up to date on payments and is insured by law. The account ending in XXXX has numerous negative remarks and is currently 117 days past due. This has been severely damaging my credit as I have been fulfilling my court ordered obligations in paying for this vehicle on time and maintaining full-coverage insurance. From my understanding, there have been no payments made toward the XXXX XXXX, owned by XXXX XXXX since XX/XX/XXXX. I hired a credit repair service on or about XXXX of XXXX and had a decent credit score with dreams of purchasing a home this year. Upon checking my credit when I applied for a home loan, it came to my attention my credit score dropped below a 500 on XX/XX/XXXX due to the late payment remarks on this account. Ive contacted your company ( GM Financial ), regarding this issue to notify them of the aforementioned judgement and court order. However, no one seemed to offer any assistance until today when a representative called me, and I let her know about the court order and judgement. Per the attached legal documents, I am requesting that the negative remarks on this account in my name gets removed immediately. Ive attached the court order for proof of responsibility of each vehicle. On page 15 of 17, under XX. MARITAL ASSETS, it states the following : The parties own two vehicles jointly. Husband shall keep the XXXX and be 100 % responsible for all payments. Wife shall keep the XXXX and be 100 % responsible for all payments. Each party shall keep their vehicle insured as required by law. This has been signed and finalized by a judge and the county of XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and Honorable Judge XXXX XXXX signed the final judgement of dissolution of marriage with a minor child and no property. I have an attorney who is representing me who will be able to provide a letter of representation upon request. Their contact information is : The Law Offices of XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX If you have any questions regarding this, please contact my attorney or myself. I expect that the attached legal documents are sufficient in removing any financial liability of myself from the XXXX XXXX ( GM Financial Account # XXXX ). Cordially, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I ask if someone can review this immediately and handle this accordingly. I dont want to waste either partys time. Cordially, XXXX XXXX

My daughter was using the vehicle while in California, We live in North Carolina. On XX/XX/XXXX GM Financial picked up the vehicle after being contacted by the towing company.
