Consumer Complaint: Hello, CFPB. My name is XXXX XXXX and I am writing desperately to request your help. I dont know what else to do. I hope to have a fair resolution of this issue that General Motors Financial has caused on my credit score. I tried to solve this problem with them and they stated that they are reporting the account accurately and they will not move a finger to solve what they have caused. The account I am talking about is the following : GM Financial account XXXX, opened date XX/XX/2016. Highest balance {$19000.00}. GM Financial has committed multiple violations under the Free Credit Reporting Act and the California Credit Reporting Act : - Inconsistently reporting across bureaus : different number of late payments in XXXX and XXXX. - Reporting false and erroneous information. - Moving the late payments dates from one mo nth to another. Please send the attached documents to GM Financial. Thank you so much.

Consumer Complaint: I was shocked when I reviewed my credit report and found late payment on the dates below : GM FINANCIAL XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I am not sure how this happened, I believe that I had made my payments to you when I received my statements. My only thought is that my monthly statement did not get to me, or the payment was not applied as fast as expected. I check my bank account and noticed that you deducted the money out of my checking account that on the month that you marked me late on my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: This complaint is regarding the following 2 accounts : 1- ACCT # : XXXX -> XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX -> VIN Last 8 : XXXX XXXX ACCT # : XXXX -> XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX -> VIN Last 8 : XXXX First and foremost, both accounts/vehicles were always paid on time and never returned late. now let me explain further : 1- Regarding ACCT # : XXXX, the vehicle original lease end date was XX/XX/XXXX, and it was extended for 2 additional months, with a new lease agreement end date of XX/XX/XXXX. The vehicle was returned within the 10 days grace period per GM Financial policy when I called and inquired for the vehicle return date, and subsequently, the vehicle was returned on XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX dealership. I have called and confirmed with the following agents of GM financial listed below that all payments have been received and processed properly, and I was informed by each one of the following agents that there should be no negative or late credit reporting at all, and the vehicle is returned properly and on time and there will be no other fees to be charged to me. The account is closed in good standing with {$0.00} balance due and never late. However, when I check my credit report, I was reported 30 days late on XX/XX/XXXX ( see attached credit report ). Why would I be reported as 30 days late on XX/XX/XXXX, and the vehicle was returned on XX/XX/XXXX, especially, when Im not even late to begin with? Furthermore, if you read the remarks on my credit report, it says full termination/obligation satisfied and lease full termination / entire payment schedule completed for terms of Agreement. This is wrong and it must be corrected by removing the 30 days late payment reporting from all credit bureaus including XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. This is causing damaging my credit and I ask to hold GM financial accountable for their misreporting of accurate information under the fair credit reporting act, plus I dont deserve this mistreatment as a longtime loyal client of GM products and GM Financial with over 9 vehicles leased so far from GM!!! Shame on you for this type of mistreatment and incorrect fair reporting. I ask the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) to address this matter to the fullest extent of the law, plus I will be filing other complaints with the state of Michigan attorney general office and the FCC if this is not addressed and correct immediately. a. Agent XXXX ID # XXXX b. Agent XXXX ID # XXXX c. Agent XXXX ID # XXXX d. Agent XXXX ID # XXXX XXXX Regarding ACCT # : XXXX, the vehicle original lease end date was XX/XX/XXXX, and it was extended for 6 additional months, with a new lease agreement end date of XX/XX/XXXX. The vehicle was returned on XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX ( see attached return receipt ). Now, I kept getting calls from GM financial regarding the vehicle being overdue, and it was never returned. I kept explaining to each caller that the vehicle was returned on XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX. So instead of GM financial doing their job and check with the dealership, I kept calling false collection calls for weeks and weeks after it was returned on XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX. Finally, on XX/XX/XXXX, I received another collection call from XXXX asking for the vehicle and telling me how it is late, and I have been reported as such etc. so I asked XXXX ( from GM Financial ) to hold on and I conferenced in XXXX XXXX ( sales manager form XXXX XXXX ). XXXX was able to right away confirm that the vehicle was returned on XX/XX/XXXX and he also emailed the vehicle return receipt to XXXX right away ( see attached email from XXXX to XXXX and the vehicle return receipt ). XXXX promised me that she would leave detailed notes on the account, and she would fix any and all negative late reporting, as the vehicle was returned in time, and for over 2 months after that, I was getting harassed by GM financial and collectors for something returned properly and timely. I continued to call and inquire about fixing my credit report and I spoke with all these operators listed below and basically, they all lied to me saying I should be fine. I spend hours and hours on the phone calling, on hold, waiting, being transferred repeatedly, and after all this hassle and grief, GM financial still has me reported incorrectly on my credit reports. Furthermore, the remarks on my credit report, it says full termination/obligation satisfied on XXXX and lease early termination / merchandise returned before the end of the term on XXXX, which is not true. The vehicle was extended and returned 1 days before the due date. Consumer Complaint: GM Financial hold payoffs for a few days after receiving them and then finds reason to send back the payoffs to other companies that customers have refinanced with so that they can have more interest income. They are stealing from their customers and it is unethical and they need to be corrected.

These people are jerks and ruthless- they need to be investigated by the government! They kee reporting x1-30 day late payments from XX/XX/XXXX & XX/XX/XXXX. One for each year. Consumer Complaint: Spoke with both XXXX and GM financial XX/XX/20 after receiving a letter from GM Financial explaining they could not find my account. Spoke with both parties who told me that 1 ) XXXX would not correct my credit reporting unless GM Financial let them. 2 ) Spoke with GM financial after they mailed me a letter saying we can find your account. I explained to GM financial what was on my credit report, how long this has been going on for and I was willing to settle this with GM financial and they said, NO. They are not actively trying to collect anything however they would not try and work with me to get this resolved, that they understand why XXXX is saying that but they wont do anything. So I feel I am sitting here trying to get this corrected, off my record and both parties are saying they will not help me. How can I fix this if both parties are denying ownership and knowledge? I have disputed this multiple times which GM financial comes back and somehow provides my credit bureaus with information but when I dispute I get nothing and then letters saying they can't find me. Just want this to go away and they don't take me seriously or care. The account they have for me is under XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX and the last 4 of my social is XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I returned a car, early, to GM Financial Leasing after a 48 month term on XX/XX/2020. The car was scheduled to be returned by XX/XX/2020. I received a letter today dated XX/XX/2020 from the leasing company with an " itemized breakdown of the remaining amounts due on my account ''. They are requesting a total of {$650.00} for a disposition fee {$590.00} + {$.00} past due payments + {$56.00} for " official fees/taxes imposed by government agency ''. This money is due on XX/XX/2020 and they threatened to report non-payment to the credit reporting agencies. I called and spoke to their representative who explained the disposition fee is something I have to pay because I did not lease or buy another GM product. I was not happy with the car. I subsequently did not choose to buy or lease another GM product that I consider substandard. The car had a fender that popped out and the service person at the dealer knocked the fender back in with his fist. No bolts or glue to hold it together. I returned the vehicle in good condition with no excess wear & tear, XXXX miles under mileage allowance & a new set of tires. I talked to XXXX & his manager, XXXX ( ID # XXXX ) and they would not waive the fee.

Consumer Complaint: GM financial reported my car payment late over 30 days in XX/XX/2019 and XX/XX/2019. This is inaccurate! I Paid before the payment was 30 days past due and it indicates on the GM payment history on their web site the payment aaa processed before 30 days. In fact the money was taken from my bank account. They wont correct the error. They reported that I was late for these two months and I was not! They must correct their error.
