Consumer Complaint: I have an active loan with GM Financial that began in XX/XX/2016. I filed bankruptcy but had this loan excluded from the bankruptcy and made/making all payments. Court papers were filed and are on file with GM Financial that this loan was excluded and remains active. I spoke on the phone with a customer service rep who acknowledged that GM Financial had the court information. GM Financial continues to report that the loan is in bankruptcy, reports late payments, and won't provide monthly statements.

Consumer Complaint: I contacted GM Financial and spoke with a representative back in the beginning of XX/XX/XXXX to inquire about getting my payments lowered because my father was just diagnosed with XXXX and I would be helping to pay his bills. The rep tried to help but informed me that I couldn't lower my payments on my vehicle. I continued to call every month I knew my funds were going to be short but the company didn't help to lower my bills in which late marks was charged to my account on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. My father passed in XXXX of XXXX. I called the same month to inform the company about my XXXX payment but I still didn't get any help.

Issue: Problems at the end of the loan or lease
Subissue: Excess mileage, damage, or wear fees, or other problem after the lease is finished
Consumer Complaint: I returned a XXXX XXXX to GM Financial in XX/XX/2019. At the end of the lease, in order to ensure that everything was properly terminated, I called GM Financial personally, and spoke with an agent who informed me that everything was paid up and the account would be closed. She made no mentioned whatsoever about any post lease charges or fees, and not being an expert in the details of car leases and terminations, I took her word for it. Without my knowledge, there was a charge that did pop up after the lease was terminated, even though the agent gave the impression we were settled. The company claims to have sent a letter in XX/XX/2019 and to have attempted to call, though I received no such letters or calls. The number they had on file was incorrect and I get so many letters from them, it's very hard to keep up with which are important and which aren't. Today, I discovered on my own, that this charge was outstanding. When I called, I spoke with a man named XXXX # XXXX. He was unhelpful, and hid behind technicalities of lease termination, of which I know nothing about, when defending the behavior of his company. He did admit that no letters were sent since XX/XX/2019. And all the while, they have been accepting a lease payment on another vehicle. So - for over a year, I have had an outstanding balance and all the while they have made little to no effort to get in touch with me and have accepted my payments on another vehicle. The moment I was made aware of this outstanding balance, I immediately paid it off. I would like all negative comments or marks on my credit reports related to this incident to be completely removed and expunged. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: GM Financial continues to violate my rights as a consumer by refusing to validate an alleged debt that is on my credit file. I first noticed this debt in XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent GM Financial a letter via Certified Mail requesting they validate this suspicious debt thats on my credit file. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from GM Financial saying they suspect the account was fraudulently established. The letter also said that I should go to their website and follow the steps needed for them to complete a investigation. I went to www.gmfinancial.com and found absolutely nothing about submitting a claim for investigation. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent them another letter notifying them it is their responsibility as the creditor to validate. I then proceeded to inform them they can validate this alleged debt by sending a contract containing my signature or something to that degree. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from GM Financial requesting that I give them a call. I need GM Financial to send me proper documentation validating this alleged debt via USPS or remove it from my credit history report.

Consumer Complaint: I have disputed this account and have reached out to the company/creditors MANY times but failed. This account is being reported inaccurately and incorrectly on my credit report. I see multiple 30-days late marks which is a clear violation of my right under the FCRA. The company has never responded to any of my attempts to obtain any proof or documentation that will prove this account is being reported accurately.

Consumer Complaint: My credit score and credit is being denied and my score is poor due to me being held responsible for someone else 's unpaid debt. There's utility, cellular service, vehicle loan, and mortgage loan for a home I never owned or even lived in. It has to due with my partner who passed away in 2014 and he was still legally married at that time and his " wife " due to her not liking me and not wanting any of his debt has somehow gotten away with putting his debt on me. How is this legal? They were still legally married and she lives in said home and collects his social security benefits but yet my credit is the one being impacted and I'm having all of this come up on my credit report. She is the one who is legally married and she should have all of it on her credit and she's the one responsible for it not me. Please help me get all of this off my credit report. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: Here is the contents of my earlier complaint so you can make the connection : " GMs claim was for {$620.00}. I paid them directly {$570.00} and XXXX paid them {$230.00} for my XXXX, thus they received {$800.00} which means {$180.00} of over-payment. Due to your intervention, I received last week a check for {$160.00} with NO EXPLANATION WHATSOEVER as to HOW it's calculated. " -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Alongside that complaint, GM Financial is still reporting that I owe them {$69.00} where, in fact, they owe me at least {$17.00}. Please correct this wrong information. Thank you, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: have a XXXX XXXX financed through GM Financial. We have a series of 30 day lates in XX/XX/XXXX stemming from Hurricane Harvey, but have made on-time payments from XX/XX/XXXX to present. Below is a history of my attempts to have information reported accurately, and their response : XX/XX/XXXX : I sent the CEO an email asking for deletion of reporting errors stemming from XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX : CSR contacted me RE email and stated they reported late, and wouldnt change anything. I advised that practice was illegal per the FCRA, but he insisted it was their company policy. XX/XX/XXXX : Initial call with GM Financial AVP Customer Experience named XXXX XX/XX/XXXX : XXXX stated she would send us a letter stating that our XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX payments were made on time. She would reach out to us next Tuesday XX/XX/XXXX : XXXX stated that said letter would have to come from legal. XX/XX/XXXX : XXXX XXXX : XXXX stated on a call that she was unclear if the call was being recorded. She re-confirmed the following statement : No, you were not late for your XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX payment. I cant speak to why we wont send a letter stating that, but its the guidance our legal team has given us. She went on to state, Your XX/XX/XXXX payment was late, and we reported it as a late payment for XX/XX/XXXX. Additionally, XXXX gave us a non-working number when we asked for their corporate HQ and/or legal team direct line. Because GM Financial has on multiple occasions admitting that their reporting practices are in violation of the FCRA act, I am requesting that ALL late payments on account be removed immediately.

Consumer Complaint: This account from GM Financial had been reporting in a charge off status and shows 57 reports on XXXX before updated as settled with XXXX balance on XXXX and XXXX. This account had been charged off and allegedly had a deficiency balance however, GM Financial never sent and was not received the legally required notices for the state of Missouri to be able to claim such a balance and is currently in a class action lawsuit ( AmeriCredit Financial Services , Inc. v. Bell CASE NO : 15SL-AC24506-01 ) due to this occurring to many people in Missouri. Specifically no pre-sale or post-sale notices were never received and nullifies and claim to a balance and the reporting is therefore incorrect.
