Consumer Complaint: During this time for COVID-19 many people have been affected with losing their jobs, insurance and their lives. I have been fortunate enough to remain afloat amidst the pandemic and be able to pay my funds although, I too, have been severely affected by the crisis. GM Financial, my lender for my 2019 XXXX contacted me and asked if I was affected during this time, and I stated to them " YES ''. They also asked me if I was home and not working. I stated " YES ''. I let the representative know that I was trying to file unemployment and awaiting my income tax return ( which I have not received still ) and the stimulus payment- of which I could send in XXXX payment. A GM representative stated to me that no late fees, penalties, or credit reporting during this time would be sent to credit bureaus because of the pandemic issue, they understood and for me to call them whenever I received the stimulus payment of XXXX. Upon receiving my stimulus check, I paid {$1000.00} to GM, which covered XXXX and XXXX 's car payment. I also sent a {$500.00} payment thereafter which would cover XXXX. The car payment is only $ XXXX monthly and due on the XXXX of each month. I received several credit notifications indicating my credit score and points had dropped. Upon further review, I looked at the notifications and it was due to GM reporting to XXXX ( and the other Bureau 's ) that my payments were late and not paid on time. I was livid when I saw this information and I called GM. I spoke with a representation who told me, the system automatically sends out this information and due to COVID-19 they would be sending a letter to all the reporting agencies to rescind and remove the late notices. However, they told me no reporting to the agencies would occur in the first place. I asked the representative when this would occur and she said they were sending out the letters at the beginning of this month- which THEY HAVE NOT, and now I have 3-4 late payments on my credit report that should NOT be there. I have disputed this information with XXXX, XXXX and XXXX and to no avail it is still there, along with other items I have disputed and now I can no longer dispute them because when I try it reads this item has been recently disputed. This is erroneous credit reporting, GM lied and should be held accountable for their actions, false statements to consumers especially at a time like this. Secondly, I would like XXXX, XXXX & XXXX to be contacted regarding the repeated disputes I have made on my credit report that they have failed to correct and enable me to dispute them and they ACCURATELY take care of those issues- specifically removing them. Those disputes are for accounts I DO NOT OWE : XXXX XXXX {$400.00}, XXXX XXXX ( The Bureau 's ) {$1200.00} & XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) which reports I have 1 late payment which is not true and of course GM Financial which is reporting 3 late payments. These companies should be held accountable for their actions, especially at a time like this.

Consumer Complaint: I spoke with a GM Financial representative in XXXX about getting approved for a 3 month payment extension as I was furloughed from work due to COVID-19. I was told that GM was only approving extensions for one month at a time and I would need to call back in the next month and ask for another extension. I repeatedly asked if he approved only one month would this be an issue the next month and I was told no. The one month extension was approved for XX/XX/2020. I contacted GM on XX/XX/XXXX to request another extension for the month of XXXX and I then informed by an online representative that I could not be approved due to me already being approved last month for an extension. When I explained to the representative what happened the previous month I was told I was given misinformation and should have been approved for multiple months at one time. I then called GM to speak with a manager but was told one was not available at the time and the rep asked what was the issue. I explained what the problem was and the rep stated I was given misinformation and they would submit for another extension for XXXX and XXXX. The rep asked to place me on hold as she submitted the extension request but I was hung up on. I once again contacted GM to speak with a manager but was contacted with another rep who I explained the issue to all over again, this rep also placed me on hold to review for another forbearance. The rep cane back and stated I was approved for the month of XXXX and she had submitted for the month of XXXX for approval. I was told I was approved for another extension for my XXXX payment but I continue to get notices for my XXXX payment and I still have not received anything in the mail regarding the approval nor does the website make reference to the XXXX extension.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, GM Financial produced a statement indicating a bill due of {$400.00} by XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX a payment of {$400.00} is made and posted to my account. Upon termination of my lease, I am informed that termination fees and wear and tear fees of {$1100.00} are due. They are also asking for an additional month of payment without any invoice - the lease terminated in XXXX. I made a payment of {$1100.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, shortly after being notified of the termination fees and wear and tear. GM Financial does not issue another statement available on my online account. The website indicates that I have made the 39 full payments required on my lease. I have paid the amount indicated for termination and wear and tear. GM begins calling to let me know that I have an unpaid balance. I call in early XXXX and an associate and request to have them review how many payments I made. The associate indicates 39 payments have been made, the account must be escalated to an manager for review. I receive no response. I get more calls from GM collections. I call back in, I ask if the account has been reviewed. It has not. The associate submits it for review again. I hear nothing. More collection calls. I call in again ( XX/XX/XXXX ) - 3rd request asking for an accounting of how I owe more money when I paid the final payment and turn in fees. The associate promises a return call. Never calls. XX/XX/XXXX GM Financial marks a delinquency on my credit report. The website to this day never showed a bill for payment after my final invoice from XXXX which was paid. I have asked a manager at GM Financial for a full accounting of my account and have not received it. Without providing any proof, GM Financial has claimed I owed additional money after I paid every written invoice provided. After numerous requests they can not furnish the information of why I still owe them money. This is predatory lending. It is poor web design. And they should be ashamed. A full history of bills due and paid should be available for any financial services website that is claiming additional funds are due, and an accounting of why should be readily available to the consumer.

Consumer Complaint: To GM Financial. I am writing this inquiry to dispute account with GM Financial that is being report on my credit report as delinquent. The account involves a vehicle that was leased, and I was the co-signer. I do not refute being a co-signer on the lease and bear responsibility for the contract. My issue is Im being held responsible for a situation that I had no knowledge was occurring, and I was never notified by GM financial the account was delinquent. I have now learned the following information from contacting GM Financial. During the lease period the borrower developed a pattern of delinquent payments. While this was occurring GM Financial at no time contacted me by letter, phone or email to notify me of the situation. By not informing me, I believe GM Financial is negligent in their duty to me as a co-signer. During this time I was also a loyal customer with GM Financial in good standing. The borrower turned the vehicle in early and again I was not notified by GM Financial of this situation. Information provided to me from GM Financial advised they and the borrower entered into a separate agreement on payment plan to satisfy the lease. Once they agreed to the new terms on the contract, which I did not agree to, I believe I should be dislodged from any obligation or consequences of the transaction. Given there is a payment plan which will compensate GM Financial, my credit score is being unfairly impacted given GM Financial being made whole on the transaction. To this day I have never been contacted by GM Financial about the status of this account, and did not learn about it until I attempted to apply for credit. I was a loyal customer to GM Financial, but I believe they are acting in bad faith by negatively impacting my credit without involving me in remediation of the credit issue.

Consumer Complaint: I was shocked when I reviewed my credit report and found late payment on the company below : GM FINANCIAL XXXX I am not sure how this happened, I believe that I had made my payments to you when I received my statements. My only thought is that my monthly statement did not get to me, or the payment was not applied as fast as expected. I checked my bank account and noticed that you deducted the money out of my checking account that on the month that you marked me late on my credit report

Consumer Complaint: GM Financial claims they sent me a final bill for a leased vehicle that was turned in early. I never received such bill. They then reported me to the credit bureaus for not paying the final payment even though i never knew until i applied for a mortgage refinance that i owed anything. When i disputed this by phone, they told me " we left you a voicemail on your cell phone '' ( no date was verified and i had no such voicemail '', but they admitted they should have called earlier and BEFORE reporting me to the bureaus. Further, they said they'd clear the negative marks from my credit report. Needless to say, i can not get my credit score adjusted fast enough to refinance my mortgage, so because of their admitted error, i will be in an unfortunate situation. My auto payments are ALWAYS on auto pay from my bank account so that i don't miss a payment. They inaccurately said i owed a balance for 6 months and missed monthly payments for 6 months AFTER i had turned in the leased vehicle. I am confident they knew they did not properly try to reach me for an unpaid balance and that's why they jumped to say they will remove the marks. Unfortunately, 30-45 days of waiting will not be suitable to help me. i have already spent countless hours on the phone with all 3 credit bureaus as well as GMF.

Consumer Complaint: Original Creditor : GM FINANCIAL XXXX XXXX # : XXXX XXXX CREDITOR ACCT # : XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX, NJ XXXX XXXX In XX/XX/2016 I was involved in a vehicle accident. There were issues with the insurance company. Once the issues were retroactive The insurance paid their portion, GAP paid their portion. The insurance did not pay the original amount due to the information that was communicated via GM FINANCIAL. The vehicle had been sold. The title that was presented to my insurance company at the time. Due to the insurance issues GMC FINANCIAL repossessed my vehicle. I don't have a date nor do I understand how does a company repossess 's a damaged vehicle. Nor was it communicated either that the vehicle had been repossessed. That information was provided through my insurance company at the time. The reason for my complaint is because GM FINANCIAL is providing fraudulent information towards my credit report. They were paid in full by the insurance company what they should receive. Due to GM FINANCIAL 's mishandling of the account at the time. Therefore, the amount of {$4500.00} should not reflect upon me. I do not owe this amount nor do I have knowledge of this debt. By this company mentioned above. Nor by GM FINANCIAL. While this issue was going on with the insurance company at the time I also communicated with GM FINANCIAL once a week to keep them informed. I spoke to a representative who was rude, and unprofessional. Since my vehicle accident I have attempted several ways to expunge this debt from my credit as it is not a charge off. This fraudulent debt is a defamation of my character. Nor does this help my credit in any form or fashion. If I was able to resolve this issue with my insurance company at the time then GM FINANCIAL should be responsible enough to understand and remove this fraudulent debt from my credit report. GM FINANCIAL received payment for the vehicle regardless of the time frame. Therefore, this is not a repossession. This is a vehicle accident. I can not control what Fraudulent Lies GM FINANCIAL presumes to fabricate. GM FINANCIAL received a payment. End of debt that is originally not a debt. GM FINANCIAL will give you a loan knowingly knows you will eventually default on the loan. Then lie and ruin your credit with those lies.

Consumer Complaint: My complaint relates to the final payment practices for GM Financial. Their website allows for automatic payments from a bank account. However, for the final payoff amount, they force consumers to request a quote, print off the quote with the expiration date on it, and mail a check or money order to their offices. While I understand why this practice was necessary 10 years ago, GM financial clearly has the ability to process a final payment immediately. The unnecessary and convoluted process allows GM Financial to collect an additional 10 days to two weeks worth of interest on an account that would otherwise be paid off. This is a systemic issue and I believe it to be an unfair and deceptive practice. A few weeks worth of interest may not seem to be a significant problem, however, when it is compounded over tens if not hundreds of thousands of loans it amounts to significant consumer harm.

Consumer Complaint: I have paid my account ahead of time and made addtional payments, on XX/XX/XXXX I made a ontime payment and it was processed, the company due to the covid XXXX processed the payment late and reported me XXXX payments behind. I have sent them certified mail and they do not respond to any requests I have made they only will send text messages. This is gross error and should not be reported late on there failure to process the payment. I am formally requesting my credit report to show current and no late payments for the month of XXXX or beyond. The payment was not greater than 30 days and was overpayments have been made throughout the course of the loan. Gm financial is practicing illegal reporting tactics.
