Consumer Complaint: GM Financial promotes paperless billing and provides an online and mobile app for customers to access payment information. GM Financial online billing and payment history did not ( and still does not ) provide correct information regarding a payment on my account : Payment of {$410.00} made on XX/XX/XXXX for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX statements. XXXX online billing and payment history shows XX/XX/XXXX payment of {$410.00} as a processed payment, provides a confirmation number, as well as a green check-mark, just as all other payments that have been made. This payment was actually returned due to NSF from my bank. I did not receive notice from GM Financial. This misinformation led me to believe my account was up to date. In reality my account was past due from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX, and two 30 day delinquent payments have been reported to credit agencies for months of XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. It also caused continued late fees and interest to build on my account.

Consumer Complaint: I have a car loan from GM FINANCIAL, and I have always made my payments on time. For some reason, I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report, I called GM FINANCIAL and they said their system mistakenly put me on paperless billing, which I did not request, and it caused my 30 day late. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record. I tried contacting XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and GM FINANCIAL with no successful resolution. XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX reporting me 30 days late in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. There was an error on their part. I was never 30 days late twice.

My only thought is that my monthly statement did not get to me, or the payment was not applied as fast as expected. I checked my bank account and noticed that you deducted the money out of my checking account that on the month that you marked me late on my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I called Friday and I spoke with their receptionist. She informed me that I can go anytime this weekend to return my car & that I didn't need an appt. When I arrived ( Sunday ), I was asked if I were going to buy a car with the lease return.They told me to come back Monday after I informed them I will not buy. Issue is that I'll not come back! Why should I when I am already there and I am ready to hand over the car? Besides, I had arranged a drive home and I needed to drop my car off that Sunday ( XX/XX/XXXX ). However, they would not give me proper release paperwork. I am going on vacation Tuesday & I need to hand back the car Sunday! Now I am stuck with a car and its insurance. I want GM to pay for my {$150.00} insurance and my monthly payment. This is my 2nd complaint against GM. They have been making me pay during the lockdown and now I can't even return their car. Here is what happened XX/XX/XXXX Sunday : The police was called in to help me ( XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX ) - the Sales Manager had my car without giving me any paperwork for my lease return. On Sunday, XX/XX/XXXX, I came in to return my car lease that I purchased from them. They told me I had to come back Monday. This isn't right bc I had already called a few days before and they said I can return this weekend! They took my keys, car, registration card without providing me the paperwork. Fishy! I asked them to at least handwrite a note and XXXX had an attitude, " I can but that won't do anything for you. '' Then they tell me that they can't provide the paperwork bc their system is down. My friend, who knew more about lease returns, told me they are required to give me proper lease return documents. He questioned how the finance system is " down '' yet they are still able to finance cars sold that day. I phoned GM financials right at that moment and the GM case manager said the dealership should be able give me the paperwork. Bottomline, I did not get the protocol service, they almost fooled me in letting me walk off their lot without any evidence that I dropped my car off. My friend was mad that they took the car without giving me the paperwork and he called the police. My friend was mad how they took advantage of me. On top of that, XXXX told the police that we are not allowed back to their dealership and he wanted me off their lot. I was waiting there while the police talked to him. Don't worry, we'll take out business elsewhere! Why can't we return the car on Sunday?! Why am I asked to come back the next day? Why didn't I get the proper paperwork? Is it because it goes against their sales goal for the day- corruption! or was that he was lazy? It wasn't professional nor ethical to let me drop off my car without giving me any paperwork. They led me to believe this is how it is done until my friend advised me otherwise. Now I am stuck another day of owning this car and this dealer ( XXXX ) has " banned '' us on their private property. Let me tell you, this dealer doesn't want to take back their own leased vehicle, disrespected us and shamed us.

Consumer Complaint: I look at my credit weekly due to fraud with someone having same name and DOB as me in same city, now I am seeing a lot of inquires on my credit on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX from several companies I have had no contact with nor have any idea who they are and what they be using my ssn number for as I am not needing anything regarding my ssn number. The companies that have illegally used my ssn information is 1. XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2020, XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2020, XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2020, XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2020, XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2020, Americredit XXXX XX/XX/2020, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2020, XXXX XX/XX/2020 and XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2020. I would like these illegal inquries removed immediately as well as documentation showing my id and signature allowing use of my ssn. Furthermore I was working on each one of these days 12 hours and we are not allowed phones on my job which is a little more alarming as to how my credit was ran without my consent or me in person.

I have written the company a hand written letter via USPS in XX/XX/XXXX to get these negative remarks removed with no success. I have also sent and goodwill email to the CEO explaining the situation and was again told they could not removed the negative marks from my credit report. I explained to the company that during this time I unfortunately did not receive the bills consistently which resulted in me paying the bills late. Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX leased a vehicle from GM Financial {$290.00} a month and returned the vehicle at lease termination XX/XX/XXXX. In XXXX this lease still appeared on XXXX 's credit report when we tried to buy a house : It was then an issue that we thought was then corrected in XXXX. But in XX/XX/XXXX this lease payment still appears on XXXX 's credit report and GM Financial was called by the lender who confirmed the lease was paid off. This incorrect information is a violation of the consumer protection laws. GM financial has refused or neglected to correct the matter causing financial and mental distress.
