Issue: Managing the loan or lease
Subissue: Problem with fees charged
Consumer Complaint: I had a XXXX XXXX lease ( VIN XXXX ) and returned it in XX/XX/XXXX. Before the lease return, I replaced 4 tires per lease end guideline to avoid excess wear charge. Also in XX/XX/XXXX I purchased a new XXXXXXXX XXXX ( VIN XXXX ) with cash. In early XXXX I received the final bill which included {$390.00} disposition fee and {$320.00} excess wear charge. I want to dispute both charges. First, my lease agreement XXXX ( t ) says " Disposition Fee Waiver : The Item 4A Disposition Fee will be waived if you purchase or lease a new General Motors vehicle when the Lease ends ''. Since I purchased a new GM vehicle, the disposition fee for my lease should haven been waived. Second, I replaced the 4 tires per lease end guideline and emailed GM Financial the tire receipt. So the excess wear charge should have been removed. Therefore, I want GM Financial to waive both excess wear charge and disposition fee which was {$770.00} in total and refund my payment of {$420.00} for the bill.

Consumer Complaint: At the end of my lease i called to have my in person inspection done. They explained that they were not doing inspections due to COVID but i could drop my automobile off at the dealership. I dropped the vehicle off and that was the end of it until i got a bill for new tires. I had just put new tries on the vehicle. Apparently they were not the right speed ratio. I called and explained that due to not having an in person inspection i was never able to rectify the situation. I said well if i have to pay for new tires then i would like the tires that i put on the vehicle. They told be the tires i had put on were sold with the car. The bill for the new tires they are charging me are {$600.00}. My question is why am i paying for new tires when the others were sold with the vehicle? I feel i should have been able to take care of the matter when it was inspected but was never given the option.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX . XXXX XXXX, Mo XXXX To : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, This complaint is against GM Financial on ground of price gouging by changing a payoff on a vehicle. Allow me to explain. In XX/XX/XXXX my fianc past away with a XXXX XXXX XXXX, being financed by GM Financial. According to the bill for that month, the owed balance was about {$9000.00}. Later I advised the lender of the development by sending information and express my intent to continue to payoff the balance. I even sent them a copy of the title indicating me as a beneficiary on a TOD ; Transfer on Death. During a phone conversation, they insist that I produce a letter of executive, or they will NOT give me a statement on the account. It was explained that because my fianc didnt owed any property or a business, an executive letter was unneeded and will NOT be produced. The lender still refuse to give me a statement. Point of the Complaint In XXXX, I received a letter from the lender stating that a balance of > {$8000.00} ( {$7000.00} principal ) was owed. Please be advised that payments of {$430.00} ( average ) a month was made from XXXX to XXXX of XXXX. To have this amount left on the balance is clearly unreasonable. It appears that the reason for this lender to NOT provide me a statement is to wrongfully charge me an excessive amount to payoff my fiancs vehicle. Additional information will be submitted at a later time. With this complaint, I respectfully ask for your assistance. XXXX, XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I had XXXX leases with GM FInancial. A XXXX XXXX XXXX and a XXXX XXXX XXXX. I returned the vehicles at the end of the lease term. I received a repair estimate for the XXXX and disputed the amount asking for additional information which the company refused to provide. The company unilaterally refused to acknowledge my dispute or provide the information requested, has reported the disputed debt to the credit agencies which has lowered my credit rating by almost XXXX points. I paid the lease return fee immediately, but am still disputing the damage estimate. The XXXX was returned to the dealer in early XX/XX/XXXX. The XXXX XXXX was returned to the dealership at the end of lease term, on or about XX/XX/XXXX. I never received an end of lease bill or damage estimate from GM Financial, The car was returned in good condition with only XXXX miles on it. Even though I had never received a bill or end of lease statement, GM Financial reported my account delinquent. I contacted GM Financial in XXXX when I finally found out about the delinquent mark on my credit report, disputed the damage amount but paid the end of lease return charge of {$490.00}. I still have not received anything from GM Financial what the damage charges were for, nor have they provided me of my request for both the XXXX and XXXX for a paid receipt showing the repairs had been made, or the information regarding what the car was sold for. If the company did not make the repairs or were made for less money than I was charged, I was overbilled for the purported damages. How can a company send me a bill and not have to prove that the repairs were made so I know that they are not billing me more than the repair cost, and that the repairs are made. How can a company report my account to a collection agency and ruin my credit unilaterally when I have disputed the charge?

Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern, I'm always very on top of making payments on time.. I have a auto lease with Gm Financial and my account was set up on auto pay ( conformation attached ) to make payments. The lease experience with GM ran smoothly until I got a email one day ( attached ) that my payment is past due. I was surprised as I knew that the payment was on auto pay and my bank account always had the funds available. After calling GM I was notified that my account was removed from auto pay by GM as it was past 30 months so GM resets the Auto pay setting. The problem is that I was never notified that my accounts auto pay will be disabled. If I would have been notified I would have been more on top of making the payment. The only notification I got from GM was only after my account was already passed due. I immediately made the payment once I was notified ( conformation attached ). GM reported the late payment on my credit report which is severely damaging my credit score. When I discussed it with a GM rep they did confirm that no notification was sent to me about this change they where not sure why. They said they will look into if they can remove the late mark from my credit report. But i Never heard back from anyone.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX my vehicle XXXX XXXX XXXX was repossessed, at about XXXX, I immediately called Gm Financial to determine what monies I would need to pay to redeem my ve.hicle, the representative advised me to pay XXXX, which I did, the total amount came out to be XXXX including the service charge of the third party company, I was not fully advised of the details of what will happen once I redeemed my vehicle, in which I paid all fees and received my vehicle out of repo in less than 24hrs. I was in constant contact with the lender regarding my financial situation due to covid, my husband and I were unemployed during XXXX, and the business we had open was just getting off the ground as a restaurant caught in the pandemic issues. In XXXX my the vehicle was totaled, this week we were trying to get another vehicle is when I discovered that GM Financial had added to the credit report in a matter of days a repo on my credit report which prevented me from helping my daughter to purchase a vehicle, I called on the same day to speak with a manager in the finance department and was told that's what they do once a vehicle has been repossessed and then redeemed, I advised that this is an unfair practice, this is the first they have added this type of derogatory information to my credit report, and it was nothing they will be doing about removing this from my credit report. I do not believe this is fair to add this to my credit report, being that I redeemed my vehicle in less than 24 hours, so from XX/XX/XXXX the date of repo, date redeemed XXXX, repo information added by XX/XX/XXXX, I need help to have this removed, we have as a family dealth with a lot including losing my mother in XX/XX/XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Unfair practice by GM Finanical. Please help! I had a lease with them on a XXXX XXXX that was turned in on around XX/XX/XXXX. I also bought a new XXXX truck from the XXXX dealership. I was alerted by my mortgage company ( that I am trying to get a mortgage through ) that my credit score just dropped over 100 points due to GM Financial. I called GM Financial today XX/XX/XXXX and spent over 90 minutes getting transferred 4 times to different areas and sitting on hold over 15-20 minutes on each transfer. Only for them to tell me that they sent one ( only one letter ) letter about the additonal charges ( mileage overages, extra wear and tear ). Which I never received. How could you ruin my credit without alerting/billing me of the problem? They then said they called me numerous times on this debt. I then asked what phone # they called and they told me my old office number from my old home. Obviously, I never received a call. They proceeded to tell me it was my fault because I never updated my phone number. First, I turned in my lease and bought a new XXXX from the dealership and gave them all my new information. Why would it ever even cross my mind to update the information ... when I turned in the leased truck in and gave them all my new information on the new truck? I have no problem paying my bill, but need them to be fair and remove this from credit report. My mortgage agent said GM Financial has done this to many customers! This is not fair that they do this to good customers ... I have tried to resolve fairly! Need help with GM Financial, as this is not right that they can ruin my credit, without alerting me! I can pay the bill ... Any help you can give is appreciated!
