Consumer Complaint: I finance my car through Credit Acceptance Corporation. Over the past couple of years, this company has REPEATEDLY reported me for nonpayment & late payments and not only did this company make reports of missed/late payments, they made the same report for each multiple times! I have been disputing false reporting by this company to all credit bureaus, however, they still remain. For the times in which I have been late/delinquent in making payments, I was informed that due to the pandemic, this would not be reported. At a time in which every day, hardworking individuals, such as myself, were living through economic turmoil, this gesture was astonishingly symbolic! I felt confident in knowing I was doing business with a company that genuinely cared for their customers. Only later, upon further investigation, would I come to see that they had been deceitful. Not only were the payment/nonpayments reported, theyd been reporting each one repeatedly in the same timeframe. I cant begin to state the imperative, negative impact my credit score and history now has as a result.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a used vehicle on XX/XX/XXXX, from XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, De XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX. The sale price was {$8900.00}, with a warranty. Approximately two weeks after purchase, the vehicle started smoking. I notified XXXX XXXX, the saleswoman, who stated she would send a mechanic out to check it out. The person she said was the mechanic came out, checked the vehicle and stated the smoke that I noticed was condensation and to continue driving and it will stop. I Drove the vehicle for approximately a week, the smoking had worsened, the check engine light came on, and it started hesitating. Tried several times to contact the saleswoman. when she finally called me back, she gave me contact information for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX De XXXX. Called XXXX and was told it was close to the holiday and they were backed up and would not be able to check it out for a few weeks. I took the vehicle to the shop so that it would be there when they can check it. The mechanic contacted me and told me that I was sold a vehicle with a bad engine. I tried contacting XXXX several times. She finally texted me back with a message to call XXXX @ ( XXXX ) XXXX. I called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and told him what the mechanic told me. I told him they sold me a vehicle with a bad engine and he stated that is why she is no longer employed there. I asked if they would repair it and he stated they will not that's why they push the warranty to their customers. I did not agree with that and asked if they can contact the lender, Credit Acceptance, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, MI XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX to cancel the contract, This was in XX/XX/XXXX. He refused and stated I have to use my warranty to have it repaired. I contacted Credit Acceptance and they reviewed it and stated they can't cancel because it was over thirty days but it wanted to turn the vehicle in and that it would be a repossession. I called the auto shop and gave permission for them to send a diagnosis and to file a claim with the warranty company, XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX, XXXX # XXXX. This was back in XX/XX/XXXX. In XXXX I Called the Warranty Company to check the status and they informed me that they requested the auto shop to break the engine down further and send them the report. I called XXXX XXXX and he stated there is no need to break further down, the engine is bad and needs to be replaced. The auto shop and warranty company have been going back and forth since then. In XXXX, I retained an Attorney through XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, De XXXX, XXXX @ ( XXXX ) XXXX. He has been sending emails with no response and I have been calling XXXX at the auto shop, who they state is in charge of filing claims, with no response. I do not think it's right for me to continue making payments on a vehicle that I only drove for less than and have it being in the shop for almost four months. I've tried to cancel the contract because I did report the problem with the dealer but they took so long to get back to me. Also, the fact that XXXXDealership admitted that XXXX was let go because of things she was doing that they were not aware of seems that they should have been responsible. He even went as far to tell me that they were going to stop using this warranty Company because they have done this to other customers. Please let me know if there are any other steps that I can take. Thank You, XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I had a car accident in XXXX of 2018 that led my car being totaled. Credit acceptance knows of everything. They have my account as open when its supposed to be closed and sent out to collections. This is causing my account to constantly be dinged as 120 days past due. I have provided gap coverage from the contract I signed when getting the car. They didnt satisfy the loan so they have sent me through so much troubles to get this off my report. They have garnished my checks which is really a pain because I dont have it. They are fraudulent crooks. They have no reason having my account as an open installment still.

I have never signed a contract agreeing to pay this company nor have I never done business with this company yet this company reports inaccurate unverifiable information to the credit bureaus. Issue: Struggling to pay your loan
Subissue: Loan balance remaining after the vehicle is repossessed and sold
Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of 2016 I bought a used car at a dealership via an auto loan for consumers with less than perfect credit from Credit Acceptance Corporation. The car was a lemon & the dealership wouldn't do anything about it so I refused to keep paying for a car that wasn't even in working order. I called the loan company & explained the situation to them & they also refused to help in any way. Months after they repossessed the vehicle they took money out of my mother 's bank account. I was on the account due to her being ill & in a XXXX home. The money they took wasn't even mine & it caused a payment for rent at my mom 's XXXX home to be declined. This caused the XXXX home to report me as misusing elder funds & I was investigated by the state for their report. The state found that I wasn't misusing her funds but it was unsettling to be accused of something like that.
